I’m currently in Year 11 awaiting my GCSEs and we have mocks next month. I have not been in school since around mid April last year (not by choice) due to my mental health and self harming in school. I’ve been on and off a reduced timetable since early year 9 and I have always hated it but I’ll accept it as long as it means im in school. A few weeks/ months after they said I’m not allowed back in school until further notice, they decided to start funding a tutor for me at home since I have an EHCP in place. However, the tutor i have only teaches me Maths and English and Its only for 5 hours a week, even though they said I could have been entitled to 10 hours a week. My GCSEs have been reduced so im only doing maths, english language, science, history, and art. I’m not getting help with any of my subjects apart from english and maths, but even then the tutor is not giving me work that suits my level or knowledge bc its all too easy and she hasnt given me ANY new content. Everyone else who is in school will have learnt so much new content and i have not. As of recently they have decided to let me start doing 2 hours a week of science and or history with a different tutor which I start next tuesday. Its still not enough. The only thing I have asked them for is to be in school and in the lessons like a normal person and they havent even given me a chance and im always ignored just because they want to make their lives easier. Im literally half way through this year, my gcses are around the corner and im not learning anything and at this point im going to fail and it would be their fault for not even LETTING me try. Its been 9 months since ive not been in school and they genuinely havent even given a reason as to why they wont have me in. Does anyone please have any tips on how i can convince them to let me go into the lessons with everyone else? Im so far behind on everything and it causes me so much more stress than actually being in school ever would.

My sisters baby daddy comes over to babysit because I can’t when I’m here (multiple reasons). I have a laundry bin in my bathroom and today I found my dirty underwear on the ground, this may not seem like a lot but I specifically remember putting it in the bin. He has permission to use my bathroom to shower and bathe the kids and has access to it from outside my room, and he for some reason prefers to use it to piss and whatever other than using the guest bathroom for that. I didn’t care much until I heard him come into my room when I was sleeping once, I didn’t check because I thought it was my sister but apparently not. And today I slept in really late after he got here, and when I woke up and went into the bathroom my dirty underwear was on the ground in plain sight, it didn’t look like it had any you know on it luckily but still. I’m EXTREMELY concerned because he had a porn addiction before and tried to fuck my sister when she was sleeping before (when they were dating). I genuinely don’t know why she lets him come here, he is absolutely disgusting. I HATE that man so much, I’m terrified he’s gonna do something to me.

On a recent trip to India I saw a lottttt of swastikas which sparked some research. I learned that the symbol has been around for a long time and the nazis hijacked it and now western culture views it negatively, while Asia still uses it as a symbol for peace.
I also learned that Hitlers Aryan race was the idea of his people combining with Indians to create the master race (very weird). But India was a British colony and even sent millions of soldiers to assist the British in WW2. So my question is what did India think of the whole “Hitler wants our genetics” thing?

2025.01.24 05:50 Vesperlestrange Sober for 25 days and it finally happened

One way no one ever wants to wake up is getting a phone call when it's still dark outside with a medical emergency. I live with my mom who has a few health conditions and like a lot of our parents or older adults in our lives will tell us about these symptoms they are having which makes us go uhhh....maybe you should go to the dr?!?!?
This morning my mom called me at 6 AM crying that she was having severe chest pains on the left side with shooting pains going down her left arm after having a migraine and chest pains for a week now. Although she was thinking the chest pains was an infection coming on in her lungs. For once in two years I was able to jump out of bed and convince her to go to the ER (she hates hospitals and of course the first thing out of her mouth was I can't afford that!) and drive her. Mom knows I have issues with drinking, but not how much I actually drink. Turns out I wasn't hiding it as well as I thought I was shocker! I ask if she wants me to drive my car or hers. She looks me dead in the eye and asks if I was drinking last night. My first thought was FUCK that hurt my damn feelings! But instantly was able to think well shit she has a point I don't have the best track record. Second thought was proudly thinking nope! I've been sober for 25 days! But I'm still not there yet to actually tell people I know that I'm quitting drinking and how bad it actually got.
I moved back home in 2020 and after being taken off cases at work, so being employed, but not working, that's when my drinking started getting out of hand like a lot of people with way too much time on our hands and day drinking became memes and lol it's not a problem everyone is doing it! I, 2022 I started drinking 6-12 seltzers almost every night for the past two years.
Whenever mom would mention something about her health when she'd get home I'd be scared she'd call me to drive her to the ER in the middle of the night and I wouldn't be able to because I'd be drunk off my ass.
25 days ago the area where my liver is was hurting so it scared the shit out of me and had my hey dummy you're going to be 36 next month your body can't keep doing this forever so I decided I was done. I had to accept the fact I've never known when to quit when I start drinking since I started at 15. Even as a teenager and in my 20s my best friend would ask "Why do you drink?" At the time it was a joke, until it wasn't. My response "To get drunk!" Which would earn me a smack across the head with a "NOOO"
For those that are curious it wasn't a heart attack, but they weren't sure what it was, but it might be her body's way of telling her something is wrong and we need to figure out what it is. That was an oh shit that sounds familiar moment! But I'm proud to be able to say I'm sober to be able to keep an eye on her if she needs me for anything!

My first project is a dinosaur hoodie! I can't believe i did it :) There is nobody near me who knows how to sew, but I'm very passionate about it. I'm learning it by watching youtube videos. I started by sewing a pouches. I have lost count of how many I've made. But this is my first big project, and still can't believe i did it! I made it for my 4-year-old nephew. I hope he loves it. I found a basic hoodie pattern online and i added triangle fabric pieces and a tail to make it looks like a dinosaur.
