Was anyone else playing on the 66.444 last night around 8pm Pacific time? The walls literally collapsed over a couple of minutes eventually killing everyone. I was playing way north when it started and I ended up being one the last two when I finally got crushed by the wall. The other player was on WORM but I couldn’t catch the name. The circle ⭕️ just got smaller and smaller. Then the server was down for around 10 minutes. Really just strange. Is this some kind of new feature?

2025.01.24 06:29 NoHorse3000 problem with my photos and icloud syncing
yesterday i noticed that pretty much all of my photos up till august 2020 were gone. i definitely didnt delete them (and that has happened to me before where after updating my ios my photos were mysteriously gone) and i didnt find them in the recently deleted folder (i remember emptying it a few days ago so it might have been my mistake but i dont recall my old photos being there). my icloud photos syncing option is on and my photos disappeared from my ipad as well. unfortunately my phone is relatively new and somehow has never been backed up (i dont remember turning off the backup option on both my ipad and iphone, i have turned them back on yesterday to prevent this from happening again, they havent backed up yet), while my last backup on my ipad is shown to be from over a year ago and i dont really know how to check what has been backed up (and im scared of losing a lot of important data from now if i go back to that backup). i thought about turning on my old iphone which hasnt been used in a while but i suppose it will sync the icloud right away and the photos will be gone too? or will it work if i have my wifi off? i also suppose i might have a backup on that phone, but do the photos even backup if icloud sync is on? is there anything i can do at this point or are they completely gone forever
my phone is iphone 15 pro, ios 18.1.1, my ipad is ipad 11 pro 3rd gen, ios 18.2.1 and my old phone is iphone 11

I'll tell you my case, for me the best cell phone I had was the 13 PR because of the battery life, when I changed everything I started with the 15 PR, the battery was complete garbage 3 hours and it ran out, it passed the Apple test and nothing, everything came out correct, then I changed to the 15 PM, the same for obvious reasons it lasted longer but about 4 or 5 hours at most, we're talking about 9 am to 3 pm without demanding too much, both phones were taken to Apple, they were formatted and nothing, I currently have a 16 PM with 36 charge cycles but the error here is different if I charge the cell phone all night up to 100% it gives me about 8 to almost 10 hours of active screen, I disconnect it at 9 am and 11 pm everything is discharged, up to there everything is perfect but if I charge it only 2 hours up to 100% in the same way it only gives me between 4 to 5 hours as maximum of active screen, then this error is totally noticeable and I have no idea why even for this it was already formatted only once as a new device and I already called Apple and for them everything is normal as always, so the idea is not to always charge it all night because there are times that I can't, I know that many will say that I'm crazy for changing devices so much but they are expensive and you have to pay for them to work well not to be like this, ps: I still trust Apple unfortunately I've been having this problem for a long time :C. I (23F) am married (25M). We've been fighting a lot, i keep trying to communicate the things that hurt the most. But, everytime I try all he does is dismiss me and belittle the stuff that deeply hurts me. Its been going on for 2+ years we've been married, it wasnt so bad at first but he completely changed after we got married. Out of nowhere he started getting more and more violent, dont ask. 2025.01.24 06:29 ZanyT Would a PCIE to M.2 adapter allow my SSD to run at x4?
According to Samsung Magician my 990 EVO is running PCIE Gen 3 x1.
Physically my motherboard has a free PCIE x16 slot. And from what I can tell i should have 8+ lanes free to use. The i7-6700 has 16 lanes, the chipset should have an additional 4 i think but I'm not 100% sure. My only PCIE usage other than the M.2 is a x8 4060 Ti.
Would an adapter allow my SSD to run at x4?
This is a Dell Z170 motherboard, specifically 0XJ8C4.

I got engaged in october and my birthday was on sunday, about two weeks ago i asked my 2 closest girlfriends and my sister to get brunch with me for my birthday the day after my birthday (i made boxes for them and was planning on asking them to be my bridesmaids at brunch) they all said that they would be there. A few days later i hungout with Emma (one of the girls that was invited to the brunch) we were supposed to meet up at a shopping center but when i left my house she said she needed a ride, so i drove out to pick her up and she mentioned her car was broken but that her parents were paying to fix it. Fast forward to sunday night, I was hanging out with Ally and Kylee and i asked Emma if she wanted to come over and she told me no which was fine. Ally, Kylee and I had all been drinking and it started to get late (about 1:30am) and Emma texted saying her car was still broken and that she needed a ride in the morning to brunch. we called her and my fiancé offered to buy her an uber to the restaurant and she said no it was fine so i figured she would find a way to get there on her own such as having her bf drop her off since she said that he drops her off at work everyday. Then at around 7am she texted my little sister Kylee asking if i could drop her off at a certain time if she got dropped off at the restaurant and then my sister had to text me to ask me if i could and i said no because i have plans with my dad after brunch. She then texted my little sister and said “I haven’t told Aria (me) yet but i am moving to Wisconsin” my sister sent me the screenshot and i felt very hurt. i hungout with her a week before and she didn’t mention anything about it and then i had to hear about it from my sister (who isn’t very close to her).
She texted in the group chat with everyone that she can’t go to brunch since she can’t get a ride and that she doesn’t have money for an uber bc she has to get her car fixed(even tho she told me her parents are paying for it and my fiancé offered to pay for an uber) . I always give her rides and pick her up everytime we hangout and i didn’t want to have to do that on my birthday, i don’t think she has ever driven to my house or driven to hangout with me, she always asks to get picked up. I gave my sister and my friend their bridesmaid proposal boxes and both of them said yes! i have been considering not asking emma anymore because she didn’t even make the effort to come to my brunch and i don’t know if i can picture her making effort to come to events like a bachelorette party. i don’t know what to do and i don’t know if im over reacting.

Hi precious fawners all over the world. Yesterday i thought about how beautiful the world and life would be if this and that was the case. And then i had to think of the song imagine by John Lennon.
So what is your fantasy world like? Since a lot of the abuse in my life as an adult was done by men i imagine a world where men have emotional empathy for all people, not only the woman they commit to and they would have a conscience (i know that there are men like this! But its not the majority of men). Men wouldnt pride themselves for deceiving and traumatizing and abusing women. Pickup artists wouldnt exist. A man wouldnt approach a woman if he hasnt good intentions for her.
Mothers would love their daughter and protect them.
Basically humans would do what the bible tells us to do: love one another.

Hey all,
I've had the idea rattling around in my head for a while, but figured it's wiser to ask and learn than it is to learn and then ask.
I had the idea of buying some scintillating crystal and putting it in a glass tube with a small piece of uranium ore or some other radioactive source, and then sealing the glass as you would an ampule.
The idea being that the uranium would maintain a certain baseline brightness for the scintillator, making it a kind of scary nightlight you don't spend too much time within about 24 inches of.
This sounds great, but im not sure if it would be of appreciable brightness to the eye, or what special preparations I would need to do to the glass for an ampule of that size.
I haven't procured anything yet, aside from two small gems(those will soon be earrings).
Thoughts?
