 | about 8 months ago, I posted my simple master relic shrine with the pre-hardmode bosses. hardmode kicked my butt, though, and I stopped playing that world for quite a while. I've played a LOT of classic since then and have more than a few post-Moon Lord classic worlds, but in my solo master world, I just could not manage to kill even one of the mech bosses. my friend who got me into the game was interested in doing a master world together. we've started a few, never really getting far. back at the end of November, though, we started our current master world and got stuck at the exact same place I'd been stuck, pre-mech bosses. we tried each of the mechs several times, getting them down to maybe half hit points at the most, neither of us able to stay alive long enough for the other to respawn... he was so frustrated the last time we played that he threw his mouse and broke it :( I had a few ideas and learned some interesting ideas from some youtube videos, so I went back to my solo master world and tried a few things and holy cow! relics for the three mech bosses atop my previous pre-hardmode relics shrine Destroyer was first. the keys there were having my arena high up enough with very little underneath it and my Godly Star Cannon. now that I think of it, it was the star cannon I'd used to kill Skeletron (though not Godly at the time), which for me was the hardest of the pre-hardmode bosses. same for my friend and I, as I believe our current world is the ONLY one in which we've gotten past Skeletron, lol Twins next and Skeletron Prime after. I'd made a hallowed repeater and a ton of hellfire arrows, but really I should have made cursed arrows earlier than I did. that's my plan for when we go back to the shared world, make cursed arrows, and make some major changes to the arena we've been using. we'll get one yet! and after one falls, the next two aren't as bad. one thing I'd forgotten about is that I'd apparently built a Plantera arena in pre-hardmode. Why couldn't you just take several large lenses, focus them on a single point in the sea and then just collect the water vapor with a massive tube? No electricity needed, sunlight is abundant in hot dry desert places anyway. Would this work as a large cheap source of distillated water?
