Hi, I just wanted to vent. My 30M brother-in-law cheated on my sister, 30F several times during their marriage. The latest one was with a 19F university student whom he met at work. My sister was 8 months pregnant when she found out about the cheating. They had a lot of fights because her husband said that he fell in love with the other woman, but wanted to stay in their marriage. My sister ended up begging the other woman to leave her husband alone because she wants to “save the marriage and give a complete family” to my niece.
They worked it out and recently bought a new house. My mother is staying in their house to take care of my niece while my sister and her husband works. Sometimes, my husband and I would go to their house to visit them and play with my niece. I could sense that he feels uncomfortable when we’re around but I tried really hard to get past this and be civil with him. He does not talk to me when I visit and just gives me and my husband a cold nod. I did not intervene during the time they were having arguments but I was present the whole time since we all lived in the same apartment before they bought a house. One time, I heard my sister crying on the phone talking to her mother in law, my sister said that her husband told her that the reason why he cheated was because my sister was financially supporting our youngest sibling in college. He was not on board with this and said that my sister went behind his back to send financial help. I found this odd because my sister earns 200k annually while my brother in law earns 40k because he works part time only. (And my sister did not want him to work because he met his other woman in the office)
Yesterday, my sister messaged me that we can’t come to their house anymore to see my niece and that if we want to, we should ask her husband for permission and gave her husband’s phone number. She said that her husband opened up to her that he does not feel respected every time we show up at their house and that we don’t make an effort to initiate a conversation with him. It breaks my heart knowing that I will not be able to see my niece anymore. She’s just a year old and I feel depressed knowing that years from now she will not recognize me anymore.

Da li sam ja jedina koja ne voli pasminu francuski buldog...meni uopce nisu slatki ni lijepi ni nista i to još jedva dišu i hropču mi je užas... I btw čemu služe te male pasmine (plišanci), tipa čivave, maltezeri, shihtzu itd.. Radije bih imala 10 mačaka koje će uloviti neke miševe, zmije oko kuće nego te plišance koji se boje svoje vlastite sjene!
