I am a US-MX citizen. My dad moved us here when I was very young so I don’t remember. I just recall how crazy I was dropped off at school with no knowledge of English. We would visit my family in Mexico every other year in December. I am now 26 years old. I am more homesick more than ever. Peace of mind when I visit and enjoy time with my family. I come to the US and I’m very lonely besides the amazing friends I’ve made in school. I was bullies a lot throughout school and lost my dad my Junior year of high school. On top of having severe mental issues. I was told high school would be the best four years. They were the worst years of my life. I stuck it out for some stupid reason instead of looking to finish sooner. I got my citizenship my senior year. I went straight into LPN school and dropped out around my second term, I felt very discriminated. I went back in the summer of 2023 when of my amazing instructors became the new director and begged me to come back and finish. And so I did, and guess what the instructor who discriminated against me quit when we talked about her actions of being a bully, and my new instructor stood up for us and told her we would no longer use her for clinical. Now I’m a LPN who landed up a job at my local small hospital. Life has been very sad here, very different from home. Very dull. I would love to trade positions with anyone because I yearn to go back home. America has brought nothing but issues for me to the table.

Hi all,
We're renewing Cyber Essentials for the fourth year. This year, however, the auditor has asked for more clarification on question A5.10, Device Locking Method, which was not queried last year.
The question is: "Which method do you use to unlock the devices?".
When our users log in to a Windows device, for example, they can use biometrics (face or fingerprint) or a PIN; the PIN is required as a fallback measure should biometrics not be available (i.e., the camera/fingerprint reader stops working). Should the user log in with a PIN, this logs them into their device and grants them access to organisational data; for example, they can open Outlook and access company emails without further authentication. However, as we utilise Windows Hello For Business, our understanding is that this constitutes MFA as having access to the device itself is one factor and knowing the PIN (which is only associated with that device) is the second factor. The PIN unlocks the TPM; the resulting key is used to authenticate the usedevice with Microsoft Entra and grant access to organisational data. Additionally, we protect our authentication methods against brute-force attacks through throttling and hard limits.
Having reached out to IASME, their response is as follows;
A PIN of six digits can only be used when unlocking a device. If using that six digit PIN grants access to organisational data or services without the need for further authentication, then the PIN would need to meet the password requirements, which would mean the PIN need to be at least twelve digits.I'm genuinely speechless, as we now have no option but to force everyone onto a 12-digit PIN. Most users prefer the PIN over biometrics, so this won't be welcomed news.
MFA requires the user to have two or more types of credentials before being able to access an account. Only using a PIN to gain access to a device is a single factor.
The three types are:
Something you know, such as a personal identification number (PIN), password or a security question (what is the name of your first pet?)
Something you have, such as an ATM card, phone, or key fob (a small security device with built-in authentication)
Something you are, such as a fingerprint, retinal pattern, or voice print. These factors are called biometrics.
While a trusted device can be used as a form of MFA, this is typically for something, such as a cloud service, which can be accessed from anywhere. As a PIN that is being used to unlock a device already requires having the device, this would not count as a form of MFA, as that PIN is used to unlock that device, and that device alone. If the device was lost or stolen, it is only the PIN that would be needed to gain access to it (and subsequently the organisational data and services within), hence this being considered a single factor.

Surely stealing the device AND knowing the PIN are two factors? It's no different from stealing a Yubikey and knowing the PIN.
Has anyone else had experience with this question?

I have 2 credit cards: a cashback zero-fee one with a $500 limit (7 years old), and an Aeroplan one (fee waived) with a $3,000 limit (1 year old).
I'm currently unemployed but am still a student in their system (apparently).
Should I cancel the oldest one and transfer the $500 limit to my Aeroplan card or will that severely hurt my credit?

I have not seen anybody said otherwise, but most people usually ignores it for the sake of simplicity. So, I believe people do believe in my statement already, then I am here just to get my thought about the build up specifically. Also, I am no music professional.
Straight to the point, the long and seemingly useless build up reflect well with the theme of Kenshi. To reach the satisfying and exciting part of the game (fighting and winning against those who wrong you), you have to go through rather tediously pointless part of it (beaten up and surviving). Then, while in the build up, there is also some comforting melodies which reflect the sparking ideas and understanding of the game. Such as seeing your character taking less damage after getting beaten up alot or getting more money doing risky jobs such as stealing beak things egg. Now to the right before the drop, there is cleary rise in melody and pace. This now reflect your near complete progress toward full readiness to actually face the world of Kenshi or actually the play the game. You now about have enough assets (characters, weapons, armors, skills, money) to support your useful game knowledge that you have gathered. You can actually interact with factions and yes, do whatever you want. The moment you start doing this, that is the moment where drop begin. The drop that basically made me cry, because all the toils and hardship finally well paid.

I am currently working on a python app that uses opencv-python and consequently ffmpeg. When I try to save a file using HEVC, this isnt supported by the ffmpeg dll that opencv-python installs by default. I could not find a prebuilt dll to download, so I want to build my own dll. But I struggled to do so using the tool https://github.com/m-ab-s/media-autobuild\_suite. I found that I did not end up with a dll even when doing a "shared" build. Am I on the right track here?
