Hi guys, I have severe anxiety which I use cannabis edible gummies for. I’m travelling from Canada to India through san fransico then DOHA. The gummies are in a big gummy vitamin box with 3 different types of gummy vitamins which override the smell (not that it has any, it’s gummies) and hides them in the box.  | I'm up late, so I may as well keep my streak going. As I am falling asleep, I was watching this, and it made me feel the salience of how precarious our modern ammenities are. This is what I wrote in that other blog (keep in mind I am sleepy and a bit loopy) Man... we need a world where people are less codependent on the technological magics held in place by the mercy and capacity of others. Like that Chobani greek yogurt commercial. Everyone gotta learn the secrets of the tech, man. I'll tell you the first secret; it's all clocks slash pendulums man. Well, binary oscillators but still. Logic in a computer is like a bunch of dominoes, but, in order to do anything interesting you need a way to set the dominoes up a certain way, and some to knock them over regularly so the device and stay cohesive (a "master clock"). It's nice❤️ Letting processes communicate with eachother should be done on a per process basis. Magical thinking will be the end of humanity. Because magic can only be relied on by those whome do not see it as magical. Oppinion. 🤔 but: "magic can only be relied on by those whome do not see it as magical." That's going in a book. I've been mumbling about writing a wizard book for over a year now. It's gonna be a manga, but just CGI in a simplified style exported as a web comic. And I don't have concrete infrastructure or plans for it yet. But that's okay. It was gonna have cool special effects and mathematical shenanigans. 2025.01.24 08:41 StarWeaver84 Why were American school students at least in rural suburban public schools less inspired to go into engineering and science during the 2000s and early 2010s?
I went to a typical middle class public school in a typical middle class rural suburban area during the 2000s and early 2010s and looking back I find it sad I never knew anyone who went into science or engineering.
Despite all of that decade's problems I believed that by the mid 2010s humanity would get serious about putting itself on the road to achieving a Star Trek like future.
It seemed like the only way out at that time was the military. Many of the athletes I knew either went into the military or construction work. A lot of the "Popular Girls" I knew went into nursing with some ending up going into office work.
I heard the 1960s "Space Race" inspired many youth of that era to go into science and engineering and they ended up giving us the "Tech Boom".
Of course there was the "International Space Station" but it seemed like my fellow classmates were excited and inspired by that or the Mars rover.
I remember getting interested in space and space exploration briefly during the Summer before my first year of college a little over a decade ago but sadly lost interest during my college years.
I also remember being amazed by "Mass Effect" and discovering Neil Degrasse Tyson and StarTalk. I bought a cheap telescope and did some stargazing.
By college I thought "Frat Bros" and sorority party girls were the coolest people on campus. I was obsessed with getting a cushy office job that would pay for a McMansion, a German made car, and a nice vacation every year.
Fast forward to the quarantine of 2020 and I check out "Apple TV" out of boredom as well as curiosity and one particular show on there reawakens something inside of me and reignites my interest in space, space exploration, science, and even aviation.
I ended up binge watching anything NASA or space exploration related movies, shows, and documentaries I could find.
That combined with various events in the world of spaceflight just add fuel to that fire, SpaceX DM-2 and Crew 1-9, Artemis-1, DART, Perseverance, JWST, the Chinese space program, and Starship.
Looking back I wish I'd never lost interest in space and science and choose to go into science or engineering instead.
I wish I never stop dreaming of better future and became vapid.
Now I think astronauts, scientists, and engineers are the coolest people ever.
Would a fully funded human spaceflight program to Mars during the 2000s have done a better job at inspiring more American youth to go into science or engineering during that time period?
I am no fan of Elon Musk's behavior.
It seems like since late 2015 the world has descended into a dumber and crazier alternate world.

I am considering to finally upgrade from my worn down Pixel 4a to the S25 Ultra. I enjoyed its foto features, which obviously are simpler since it only has one camera but produced good results for me. While researching I stumbled over the Banana Gate the S23 and S24 had but could not find out if it was ever resolved or affected the S24U which, as far as I know, shares the same normal foto sensor.

Today I went to my local Walmart a few times to see if there was any changes. Luckily I saw 2 people waiting around 1:30 saying the restock lady was otw. We waited 20 mins for her to get there, then our small line of 4 people helped her re-organize what was already on the shelf. A little boy (7) and his father came and asked what packs he should get for his son and asked if the mystery packs where any good. I advised against them obviously and just told him to at best only try and pay 5$ a pack. The MJ holding rep knew we had all waited for a while for her to get there and by time she restocked the line had started to grow. The entire line agreed the little boy at the end of line should get an etb and sticker collection. All the adults made sure he got it first even when he was “late” then the first 4 people in line each got ETBs (lucky to be one) and one of each other box. With a couple others getting the last few. I’m only stopping to share this story with everyone because I’ve seen so much bad lately I felt it was important to share something good. Let’s all try and remember where this hobby started from, being kids falling in love with our very wanted elemental pets lol 😂
