A bit of context: as a first-time parent, I was looking for something special to document all the precious moments and milestones of my little one’s early years. I didn’t want just a regular baby journal, I wanted something that would feel meaningful and unique, something I could look back on and truly cherish. So I started researching products that would help me achieve that, there are many apps for this, but what really caught my eye was a personal book named welcome baby that even came with an app.
When I started using the book, I was honestly surprised by how thoughtful and detailed it is. The prompts really made me reflect on moments I might have otherwise overlooked, like the little habits my baby has or the way we’ve grown together as a family. We took a quiz, and it created pages tailored to our young family. It has prompts for every age, specific milestone, places to add photos, and even a dedication page that felt so special to write. It also comes with parenting advice if needed.
I’ve found the tracking tools in the app helpful too, t’s so easy to monitor my baby’s habits, growth, and wellness. I’ve already started using the soothing sounds and lullabies to help with bedtime cause she is a lousy sleeper.
For anyone using this book, here is what I do for making the most of it:
Filling it out consistently. Even if you’re super busy, try to jot something down weekly. Using the journaling prompts. They really help you reflect on the little things you might otherwise forget. Leveraging the app. The insights and tailored advice it offers make parenting feel a bit less overwhelming.

A lot of people view Saul Goodman as the final version of Slippin' Jimmy. In many ways it is, mainly in that Jimmy disassociates from his feelings and fully embraces his criminal tendencies.
However, in Breaking Bad, I noticed that Saul Goodman is practically the only truly ethical person in the show. Walter scoffs when Saul refers to himself as such, but time and again Saul goes above and beyond for his clients. He didn't give up Jesse to Mike in Full Measure. He constantly saved Walter's ass whilst basically being his therapist. He advises Walter and Jesse to quit in Season 5 numerous times, and was clearly against Walter using him to poison Brock. In BB, Saul Goodman never once pulls a scam like Jimmy or Gene.
I came to the conclusion that after he inadvertedly caused Howard's death, the Saul Goodman we see in BB is actually a rejection of Slippin' Jimmy. Instead of being a dishonourable scammer who schemes against people for fun, Jimmy became a lawyer who truthfully acts in the best interests of the people he represents. The reason why Saul isn't the best version of Jimmy however is while Jimmy scammed people, he also clearly had a big heart. He cared about Chuck, he cared about Kim, and he generally still had a moral compass. He just couldn't help his chaotic nature, especially in the face of his trauma. Meanwhile, besides his lawyer's honour, Saul just buries most of his true emotions. He has an increased apathy towards breaking the law, and is complicit in a lot of horrible actions as long as they serve his clients. He was willing for Hank and Jesse to be killed for the benefit of Walt and himself.
These 2 versions of Jimmy are sides of the same coin. While Slippin' Jimmy's hedonistic chicanery vs Saul Goodman's apathetic capitalism are both a product of Jimmy's true nature, I find it interesting how they also contrast perfectly.

Like thousands of other workers at the VA, I received this message from “HR” early this morning. From what I’ve learned, this is OPMs efforts to build an email list where they can send “information” directly to workers instead of it being filtered by management and supervisors. The theory is that managers have been editing or withholding info and guidance from workers as this freeze/telework issue plays out (mostly I believe out of good intentions) and this is OPMs way to directly bypass them. I haven’t clicked the link or replied “yes” until I get more clarification from my department chief, whom I trust.

Noch eine ärgerliche Arbeitssitzung ist gestern passiert. Sinnlose Besprechungen, viel zu komplizierte Systeme oder Anforderungen, die weder der Komplexität des Geschäfts noch dem Volumen des Umsatzes entsprechen. Im Sinne, dass der Umsatz sehr gering ist und die "Klugheit" der Produkte stark überschätzt ist. Ich war zur gleichen Zeit wütend und zu Tode gelangweilt. Dann ist etwas Ungewöhnliches passiert.
Zum einen habe ich mehrere typische Teufelskreise durchbrochen, worauf ich wirklich stolz sein sollte. Mir ist gelungen, meine Wut erfolgreich zu bekämpfen.
Zum anderen hat das mir die Möglichkeit gegeben, den echten Grund von meiner Wut zu sehen. Und zwar war das keine Arbeitskleinigkeit oder Dummheit von Kollegen, oder was auch immer dergleichen. Es war durch die Hilflosigkeit und die Unfähigkeit, etwas zu ändern, verursachte Verzweiflung. Und es war Selbstverachtung, dass der Job, den ich habe, der beste Job ist, den ich finden konnte. Das ist traurig. Und vielleicht ist das genau das, was ich verdiene.

After updating to the latest version, my iphone 12 has become unbearably slow now! My battery health is at 84% which I believe is not that bad and have 10 GB of storage space left.
To those who say their phones do not lag, I do not know how! My sister has the same phone and we both have the same problems:
- Open the camera app and it takes good 3-4 seconds to load. I have to close other apps before I can even think of opening the camera app.
- Reddit scrolling heats up the phone like anything and the phone hangs for 10-12 good seconds. After this, the apps gets restarted.
- I used to use my phone in battery saver mode, and now, even using it in normal mode is slower.
For those who still think that their iphone12 is working great, imo, you are either using it just for very basic tasks, OR you have never used the newer versions or used androids recently.
