Hi! I recently found out I’m pregnant with my second (and last) baby! I’m currently somewhere between 5-7 weeks and I’m already overthinking what’s to come. My first pregnancy was completely “normal” until 30-32 weeks when my blood pressure was slightly elevated at every appointment. I ended up being admitted at 33 weeks because it reached severe levels more than once and wouldn’t go down. They originally said it was gestational hypertension but after doing a 24 hour urine sample and finding protein, they considered it preeclampsia. I then stayed for a week and my levels stayed within range with rest and medicine. I had no other symptoms other than the normal pregnancy discomforts. They ended up inducing me at 34 weeks. My daughter came out completely healthy, breathing on her own, no need for IV, etc. but they still had her stay in the NICU for two weeks since she fell in the premature range. I’m so excited to be giving her a sibling but I’m so nervous about getting preeclampsia again and another long hospital/NICU stay especially with a toddler. Anybody have preeclampsia the first time around but not the second? Any advice on things I can do differently? I’m just hoping I can at least make it to 36/37 weeks this time🤞

I shoot mostly documentary/run and gun work so it’s usually handheld. I was wondering if anyone found benefits to this for jitters and comfort? I’ve seen Easyrigs too but I believe those are just comfort compared to actual stabilization.

2025.01.24 14:30 LovableButterfly Student loan reimbursed before closing. What should I do?
I’m in my final semester at my college and we are setting to close next week on a house. I was informed by my college the student loan reimbursement would be taken effect in 14 days (just received the notice this week) I thought nothing would affect the closing since that would have paid out after closing. Turns out I’m wrong, they reimbursed it today. Now I’m freaking out because I feel it’s going to affect closing. We have plenty of money for the closing cost and I have no need for the student loan reimbursement because my State is paying for the semester through scholarship. How can I explain to the lender about this sudden deposit? The lender knows I’m in college. Will this affect closing for next week?
Advice appreciated!

My supervisor asked that we look on our most recent SF-50s in box 24 under the tenure status and let them know what our number is. They said that anyone with a 2, or conditional, was on a list sent to Washington for review due to the hiring shitstorm.
A majority of our staff is new to fed within the last 8-10 months or was brought in 1.5 years ago under VRA/Schedule A/special hiring authority and has a 2.
This is worrying because I’m finally moving up into a higher GS level in an important position that has been vacant for over 6 years starting next monday. I was hired under special authority for my current position about 1.5 years ago and I believe was selected as such for this new position the same way. Am I going to get fucked over because mango Mussolini thinks firing people is a solution?

I know many of you are tired of reading but I'll try my best to make it worth your time (I hope so). So today morning while travelling to my college, I was listening to Solar Power. And that album just like pure heroine and melodrama is lyrically very good. But the thing is lorde pick up what she writes from the experience she had during those years of her writing process. Like when she wrote pure heroine, she wrote what it feels like to be a teenager, when she wrote melodrama, she wrote about her break-up and when she wrote solar power, she transitioned into this life which was sweet, stable, filled with alot of gold. And I guess same will go for L4. But the reason that we find pure heroine and melodrama more relatable is because of the topics, teenage angst and breakup, respectively. Whereas when solar power came we all were going through Covid and lorde had the privilege to find stability in that turmoil and new zealand did manage the whole pandemic at a much better level when compared to other countries. That's why I think solar power failed to garner the love it deserved.
So many of us are speculating that L4 will be a mix of melo-pure or melo-solar, to be very honest it might be but at the same point it might not be because lorde doesn't work like that she transitions from one phase of her life to another so if you really want to understand what L4 will be like, I guess someone has to closely observe her personal life.
