My mother went through a psychotic episode and let it slip at age 7. Frankly I think this was a good thing. Many years later I don’t even really think about it too often. I have an excellent relationship with my “father”. When browsing these communities I tend to find that late discoveries cause a lot more turmoil. Curious to hear what you guys have to say.

I am somewhat of a beginner still, but have always wanted to make a shawl and I found a YT tutorial that goes step by step. She claims to be using fingering weight so I bought a beautiful cream to red ombre (very excited about that). when I began the project I discovered that I probably do not have the skill to work with such a delicate weight and I dont think she was using fingering weight its practically embroidery thread. Ill definitely keep trying so I can get better but if I move up to a 3 or 4 weight or baby weight how much do you think that will affect the size of my shawl? Should I just choose a different pattern/tutorial? TIA

I have a potential new client and she’s going away on vacation and wants me to watch her dogs. I’m assuming they’re old because two of them are on heart medication but she also just said that they use pee pads… And they don’t go outside regularly or go on walks and I asked her and she said she wouldn’t want me to walk them while she’s out of town. so I would basically just be going there to hang out. feed them and change their pee pads and clean up accidents I was just curious about people‘s opinions because I understand that the dogs may be old, but I feel like pee pads as their prime source of going to the bathroom is just overall not a good idea or in their best interest. I’m not judging her and I guess whatever works best for them, but I’m kind of uncomfortable with that and of course I would never say anything, but I just feel like that’s not healthy for them to only be going on pee pads all the time and not even going outside. maybe there’s nothing wrong and I’m just biased against only using pee pads? Lol but I was curious what other people think and I don’t really understand why they don’t go outside regularly. would it be wrong of me to not say anything against it but just simply ask why they only use pee pads?

2025.01.24 18:32 GentleDementia Mystery bonus stacks on Arcane Impetus: What else can contribute?

I've been playing around with the new Arcane Impetus on Citrine, and it's a lot of fun. Citrine's first ability applies Impact and Slash, and her third ability applies all four basic elements (plus Corrosive thanks to Archon Continuity), so you can easily hit and maintain seven stacks.
What's weird is, not to look a gift horse in the mouth, I often end up with eight or even nine stacks as the mission goes on. I have no idea what the other stacks could be coming from. I've checked and none of my weapon hits are stacking Impetus, as expected. My companion applying Viral doesn't stack Impetus, as expected. I even tried switching to operator and hitting enemies with my amp to see if it was somehow stacking off the occasional Void proc, and nothing.
I guess this is probably just a bug, somewhere down the line a status gets counted twice (maybe some enemy dying on the exact same tick that another enemy gets afflicted with status), but just out of curiosity, are there any other uncommon things that can stack Arcane Impetus, like enemies wandering into environmental hazards or something?

I recently started working from home and am looking for a game to enjoy during downtime or while handling simple admin tasks. Back when I was a student, I loved playing WoW and Classic WoW, but I find the game too demanding now, especially since it relies heavily on group activities. I'm more interested in MMORPGs that cater to solo play and let me take on challenging tasks independently when I have the time to focus. I'm wondering if it's possible to make meaningful progress, like increasing my character's power or obtaining better gear, through semi-AFK tasks while working. If so, can that progress be used later to tackle bosses or other challenging content? If not, are there better alternatives for this kind of playstyle?
