I have applied for over 300 jobs in the past 30 days and not a single call back. I am not shooting for the moon just things in my wheelhouse yet I haven't even gotten past the dreaded HR gatekeepers. That is with an ATS optimized resume (I have a buddy at iCIMS that did it for me), some direct referrals, and even recruiters reaching out. I work in IT , Post sales account management, SAM/TAM/CSM with management experience. Anyone else having a rough go at this? I'm curious if it's due to outsourcing or something else specific to my background.

2025.01.24 19:54 A_Warlock_ The Clash of Dancing Lions Mode Feels Horrible to Play.
Hit detection just seems to not exist half of the time when you're trying to grab the ball or take it away from someone. Same goes for the abilities for each hero. I feel like I can never hit someone reliably with widow's kick or iron fist's kick.
Do I just suck? Or is this mode feel awful to play?

As a 3 time masters and someone who regularly carries my randoms, I know I am capable of masters, I don't expect it to be easy but at the same time I refuse to go through the soul destroying game experience that is d4 solo Q. Getting to diamond was a walk on the park apart from 2 sweaty games at the end of D1.
The game will keep declining as long as they ignore the solo Q experience, with friends constantly leaving the game there are more solo Qers than ever before, and at the moment there is currently no allowance for being on your own
They want us to play more but many like me will just hit diamond and say nah its not worth it even if you are capable of more

Look, just an idea as I've not had any of my carts brick on me, knock on wood. When you update your Evercade consoles, do not have a cart inserted in the system. I know a lot of people do this and I have seen people complain that their cart got bricked after said updates just to find out they had the cart inserted when they did the update. I'm not even sure if this is causing the issue but, you never know what it is. If I update my Evercade, I've always made sure the cart ports are empty and have had no problems with carts not working on one Evercade but, working on another, or bricking. Like I said, not sure if this I'd the issue but, just an idea. eBay flippers are driving up the prices enough on these games that it would be a shame that something like voltage irregularities in the cart port during updates are killing the carts or something else, is the culprit. Just be smart and don't have carts in the ports during updates. Just a thought.

So I’m quite new to deep Franchise Modes and usually only used it for fun simulations.
But I’ve seen some people have their players grow to 92-94 ovr and I just wonder what they do differently?
I’ve drafted a 80 ovr medium elite sniper who scored 32 goals in his rookie season. Grew to 84 and next two seasons he scored 40 and 38 goals and had a 98 point season. He’s now basically stopped at 87 ovr and I wonder what people do to make their players grow that much?

2025.01.24 19:54 shipsnightmare What changes would you make to the app if you could?
I really like the app so much and have some changes I wish I could make.
I wish we could get rainbow stones based on the difficulty of the task completed but also adjusted with the daily motivation.
For example: I have short hair I often forget to brush so I have put that as one of my many goals.
But, I also have "15 minutes of cleaning every weekday"
The goals aren't really comparable and should be worth a different amount of gems.
Taking motivation for the day into account, maybe someone has "brush hair" on their list. Not because they forget, but because they struggle with it. They should get more points for brushing their hair than me. I think when we set up goals it should ask "on a low motivation day, how hard is this?" With the smiley face scale. And "how much time does this task take?"
But also I've been sick all week and I'm failing Steve 😭😭 and wish I was getting more points for the things I am completing. I feel like doing dishes when I feel like I'm gonna pass out has to count for a lil' more.
I also posted a little while ago but I wish there were bunk beds for when birb friends are over.
I'm pretty new to the app so please let me know if the first thing is a setting I haven't uncovered.
I had a few other changes but my fever-addled brain is not letting them come to me right now.
What changes would you all make?

Just a warning to anyone that uses a telehealth provider and mail order pharmacy: do NOT have your stuff shipped priority overnight. The post office distribution centers are (and have been) complete chaos for at least a month or so now. My husbands package was ordered from a pharmacy in Georgia and the package arrived at the first USPS distribution center a few hours later on Wednesday the 15th. An hour after it was marked “regional weather delay”…. There were no weather issues in Atlanta Georgia last week Wednesday, and it has been sitting there since.
I understand, not the MD’s fault, not the pharmacy’s fault. However now I can’t get any help from either of them. Of course the Pharmacy said “well I see it is stuck. I can resend it, but you will need to repay ($180, which is 150+32.°° shipping) and what if this second one gets stuck at the post office too?” The pharmacy said they would put in a “return to sender” (them) on the package that is stuck and only if they got it back from the post office would WE be refunded.
Then I contacted the telehealth clinic to see if instead they could resend the Rx to a different pharmacy, a closer one I could drive to. They said, “we can’t. We can only send out a Rx for an individual person once every 28 days.”
When my husband started suboxone two years ago he was unable to find a local provider. Suboxone MD’s were only accepting patients referred from the court system,there were no available providers in our area back then and this is how we ended up with an out of state release-health clinic. Now he is screwed.
Anyway…. Enough of my sob story. I only wanted to warn people to NOT USE the USPS (post office) if they can avoid it. Try FedEx or UPS if they are options for your mail order suboxone.

The Whispering Pines Motel was the kind of place you’d only stop at if you had no other options. The parking lot was riddled with potholes, the neon sign flickered like it might give up at any second, and the air smelled faintly of mildew. Marla, the front desk clerk, had worked there for years. She didn’t love it, but it paid the bills.
Every once in a while, someone would ask about Room 6. And every time, she’d give the same answer: “Out of order.”
Most people didn’t push. But then Colin showed up.
He looked like the kind of guy who’d been living off gas station coffee and adrenaline—messy hair, bags under his eyes, and a reporter’s notebook tucked under his arm. He leaned on the counter and said, “I heard this place has a haunted room.”
Marla sighed. “It’s not haunted. Just... not available.”
“Come on,” he said, flashing a crooked smile. “I’ll pay double.”
She stared at him, trying to decide if he was just another bored thrill-seeker or something worse. Eventually, she slid the key across the counter. “Your funeral,” she muttered.
Room 6 didn’t feel special when Colin stepped inside. The wallpaper was peeling, the bedspread looked like it hadn’t been replaced since the ’80s, and the smell of stale cigarettes hung in the air. He set up his camera on the dresser, flipped open his notebook, and waited.
The hours dragged. Midnight came and went. At one point, the heater kicked on with a loud rattle, making him jump. He laughed at himself and jotted it down anyway: Heater makes weird noises. Noted.
It wasn’t until 3:07 AM that something finally happened.
It started as a faint whisper, like someone talking in another room. Colin froze, straining to hear. The sound grew louder, but he couldn’t make out the words. It was like a radio tuning in and out.
“Hello?” he called. His voice sounded small in the empty room.
The whispers stopped.
And then, the closet door creaked open.
“Okay,” Colin said, trying to steady his breathing. “This is fine.” He grabbed his camera and aimed it at the closet. Inside, there was nothing but an old coat hanger swaying slightly.
He was about to laugh it off when he felt it—pressure. Like someone was standing too close, just behind him. His neck prickled. Slowly, he turned.
The bed wasn’t empty anymore.
A figure sat there, hunched and still, its head tilted as if it were studying him. Colin opened his mouth to say something, but no sound came out. His legs refused to move.
Then the whispers returned, louder this time, rushing in from all directions. He clapped his hands over his ears, but it didn’t help.
“Leave,” the voices demanded.
Somehow, Colin stumbled to the door, flinging it open and running out into the freezing night. He didn’t stop until he was back at the front desk, gasping for air.
Marla looked up from her crossword puzzle. “Told you,” she said, like this was just another Tuesday.
Colin didn’t reply. He handed her the key and walked out. He never wrote about Room 6.
But every now and then, when he’s alone at night, he swears he hears whispers.

Does anyone know how in depth the background check is. When I was young and dumb I got into some trouble with some campus police officers. Nothing too serious, no felony or misdemeanor but I still got a ticket. Just got offered a job at a MRO and going through check now. Little worried about that.
