2025.01.24 20:42 AdministrativeAir879 I’m getting extremely irritability from quitting or am just burnt out?
Hello. I’ve been suffering with depressive-like episode for a while now and extremely angry. I was diagnosed with Burnout Syndrome. I already take ADHD medicine Bupropion 24 hours release and 30mg Vyvanse daily. But lately I’ve been thinking if I’m getting irritated (this symptom developed after I started smoking weed) and I just linked two and two together.
I want to smoke less after a while after I stated getting a daily habit, and am finding that if I smoke weed I get okay, and the next day if I don’t smoke at the same I always did I get extremely irritated. I’ve had serious fights with people and I’m very calm normally, and people know me for being calm, so me lashing out at people, they’re starting to think I’m crazy. One even told me that.
I easily forgetting things and words and I can’t physically do my job (when I try to get back to it) as fast as I did, and physically exhausted, and I work at a computer. I had one lash out that I thought was beyond even an normal angry me when I really did it.
Is that how a withdrawal would be like? I’m unsure if I need I need help. I honestly can’t recall the days it happened or not if I wasn’t smoking were also, but I’m reaching this conclusion and wondering if I should try and get help.

I had a scheduled appointment with my VA pcp about 2 hours ago. I asked how the new administration is effecting the mission. The first caveat was it’s too soon to call it however, he informed me that any employment offers that were in the pipeline for the VHA have been rescinded and no new offers will be made for the foreseeable future. So I accepted a new role about 6 months ago, and I'm curious if this falls into the category of sys admin.
What I was hired for: on site support and remote support for users using tickets and helpdesk calls.
What I do now: manage an entire database of azure VMs. Configure and add VMs when new users are brought onboard. Update VMs and do regular maintenance to prevent too much data being held. Scale disk space for users based on need/space availability. Create generate email and user access through o365. Run system scans for cyber security and monitor devices for abnormalities. Manage a network remotely and push software updates to the network. Handle 3rd level escalated tickets regarding all issues physical and software related.
I know for a fact I'm underpaid for my field and what I do, but I took this to get a year or two of experience. And I'm not approaching my 6th month at the end of January I just don't know what my actual title is since it's a vague "it technician" title.
