 | Have had intermittent strabismus since I was an infant and had surgery at age 3. Also have amblyopia. I noticed about 2 years ago my eyes were different sizes especially when I smiled. When i touched my eye ball they do feel different too. Originally i only noticed the different sizes when I smiled but over the past 2 years or so it’s gotten worse and I notice it all the time now. Not sure what is causing it to get worse. Has anyone else dealt with this? Anyone have recommendations how to fix/mitigate this? When I was younger, I mean like 12 years ago younger, I hooked up a few times with my ex’s older brother. He was married but told me they were separated and I was a naive teenager so I believed him. I cared about him a lot, not on a romantic level but he was a good friend. I stopped sleeping with him but still remained friends until I realized a few weeks had gone by and I hadn’t heard from him. I checked his socials and found he had lost his life in a tragic way.
A year ago, I started chatting with a man I had met through a job I had pre-pandemic. We found each other online and just started talking. One thing led to another and we ended up sleeping together a few times. Turns out he was also married. We stopped hooking up but remained friends. I truly loved this man as I would a best friend. No romantic feelings here either but I did love him platonically. We talked almost every single day but the past couple of weeks I had been busy with work so I didn’t talk to him much. Maybe once every 4 or 5 days. I learned yesterday that he also passed away in a truly horrible way. I am devastated.
I want to clarify before anyone gives me crap: I know my choices in life have been wrong. I recognize I’m a shitty human being. But this genuinely feels like a repeat of 12 years ago. I believe I’m the reason these men died, whether it’s because I had an affair with them or because I turned my back on them for a short period of time. I don’t know. I just keep thinking: had I reached out that morning before he died would it still have happened? Had I never carried on this affair, would it still have happened?

I want to lash out. I want to make you feel it too. I want you to just fucking snap out of it and get back to feeling this thing we have created together. It does feel like we are wasting time. It does make me angry that the thing you insisted was not going to be a problem, and in fact made me a better partner, all of a sudden is the very thing that has you questioning our future together.
I have enough experience with love though to know that no matter what, everything is going to be as it should. My anger is based in my fear of losing you and my lack of faith in what I said in the previous sentence. When I’m able to ground myself in the beauty of what being loved by you has shown me about myself and the certainty that no matter what I’m going to keep growing and changing, I get a little peace and I get a little understanding for your situation.
This not knowing is hard. Liminal spaces can really open my heart in a painful, beautiful way. One day I will have gratitude for this experience but right now it just feels raw and scary. I want you to open your arms and draw me in and hold my body with yours. My soul aches to feel that sweet relief of your loving touch and your primal understanding of how to make me feel like a man. 2025.01.24 21:20 Expensive_Lunch_6517 I've just finished watching Red Tide and here are my thoughts......
Ok, so first half of double feature is over and wow.........I absolutely loved it! So overhated. Red Tide felt like classic ahs and had a really strong concept. The whole thing felt like another take on success and talent. It showed that maybe there's no such thing as real talent. Idk, it felt like a really interesting message. Now, I know that there are a lot of people who say that the ending is bad, but I don't think it is. I expected way worse. Now, could it use a few more episodes? Maybe. But to me it felt like a pretty complete season with little to no loose ends. I think that the problem with the ending is that it's not satisfying for the viewer. Ahs isn't known for its happy endings, but usually, there's some sense of closure. This time, it felt a bit unfair that Alma ended up winning. But it's far from a horrible ending and it does make sense. They could have explored more the story and a lot of characters were underutilized, but it was still a really complete season in my opinion. I also love how it ended in chaos and Ursula's final speech pretty much summarized the message of this season. Maybe I'm easily entertained, but red tide checked all the boxes and it was incredible!

I am currently making a TTRPG based off of the show My hero academia and I'm struggling to find an interesting way for the players to create their own character's powers. in the show powers are biology of your parents and the combo between two parents. I want the players to have a way kind of like that when creating their own powers, I'll send a copy here of what i was thinking and i'm hoping someone can help find a way to refine it so it works more effectively
Quirks
Each character has a unique quirk this is decided by rolling 2d6 each number is corelating to a different table
If you roll a 1 or 2 you are on the emitter table
If you roll a 3 or 4 you are on the transformation table
If you roll a 5 or 6 you are on the mutation table
From there you roll a d20 for both tables and find the corelating quirk on the tables.
you then roll a d12 for a downside, this can be you have a dependence on something or you have debuff to a stat.
Emitter Quirks Emitter quirks allow the user to produce or manipulate energy, elements, or forces.

- Quirk Recoil Each time you use your quirk, you take a small amount of damage due to the strain on your body. When you use your quirk you take half of the damage as well
- Reroll re roll the drawbacks table.
With these parameters you create your own quirk from them.
