2025.01.24 21:19 vatezvara This movie convinced me never to take online Star Trek discourse seriously.
I just finished the movie and I really enjoyed the action flick. I actually wouldn’t mind if this was a mini series, or a sequel on S31 missions every episode would be a lot of fun… or a short trek on Philipa’s younger years. I like that they made a Star Trek show that actually has little to do with Starfleet because the Star Trek universe actually has plenty of story opportunities outside starfleet and the federation.
I went online and searched for “Section 31 review” and literally every video or article I come across has some version of the title “worst Star Trek movie”… few of them actually discuss the movie. You can tell content creators are just jumping on the hate bandwagon. It’s not nearly as dramatic as so many of these people make it. I hoe the rage watching green light’s more movies/shows.

There's a case I heard about that interested me but I can't remember the name of the man who disappeared. He was an experienced hiker or camper who left his group to go get supplies from a station, but was never seen again. The main detail I remember is that there was evidence that he sat overlooking a road while people were looking for him, but that's all I remember. Me and my parents moved into a new house a couple years ago. There was plenty of strange things that happened in my old house, but when we moved to the woods all activity ceased. I'm guessing whatever it was didn't follow us. However, my mom bought an old antique trunk from a thrift store, and we think something came with it. It started when she saw a yellow orb floating next to her. Initially I brushed her off but this was after the knocks on my door so I wasn't too skeptical. Lights started flickering wildly some nights. One night I was up around 12:30 on my phone and in bed. My door was open because I liked the light from the lamp in the bathroom, which was across the hallway. My bedroom and the bathroom were at the end of the hallway, next to a closet with the washer and dryer. My parents room was at the opposite end of the hallway which lead into the kitchen. I heard footsteps coming, and immediately thought it was my dad going to the bathroom. I sat, waited and watched for someone to pass by my room, but I don't think I actually saw somebody. Then, the bathroom door closed, not completely shut, I could still see the light, and then opened again moments later. I could've sworn I heard footsteps go further down from the bathroom and into the closet. I waited a few seconds, and went to my parents to ask if they were up at all, but they were completely asleep. I knew they didn't sleepwalk either because their door is very loud and I didn't hear it open or close. I was spooked for the rest of the night and didn't sleep until 6am. Not the craziest thing that's happened, but it made me sleep with the door closed for now on.

Question for just general functionality of the product. Let’s say I’ve created channels based off specific filters or a plex smart collection, will tunarr automatically add these to the channels or will I need to clear the schedule and re add all content?
I’m currently testing both this and etv,
I find tunarr ui much easier to get up and running and it’s plex integration is great and I have less issues with playback. The guides are also much better and explain a lot more than etv.
With etv though it retains the filters as its own collection in its db which is constantly updated as new content is added.
Am I simply misunderstanding how tunarr works or are these fundamental differences on how each are coded?

2025.01.24 21:19 Pure-Collection-8696 How unlikely am I to get a RY position at this point?
MS3. Applied to 12 programs. Interviewed at 3. Denied by 1, waiting to hear from 2. I have no published derm research, but have been working on a derm project since the start of MS3. Have 2 previously published papers in cardiology.
My spring/summer schedule is very dependent on whether I get a RY position, so I'm not sure whether to plan for worse case scenario? Or assume I will get a position and just apply more broadly?
