So to jump straight in TW mention of SA upcoming and long.
I have two boys now 11 and turning 13, they were sexually assaulted multiple times by a peer, another child their age, who was the son of my friend, between the ages of 4yrs and 6yrs.
I already beat myself up enough for not noticing or realising this was going on and I will live with that trauma and guilt for the rest of my life, I just didn't expect that could be happening when they were meant playing lego in the bedroom and I talked with my friend over coffee in the kitchen. I didn't suspect another child could do this.
The SA all came out when my eldest was 6.
After Dr visits and phone calls with councillors I was told that i was lucky because with their age, if we didn't keep bringing the subject up they would forget about it, that they would be ok long term, that they didn't need any form of therapy and would have no recolection of the incident and that only I would live with the vicarious trauma of it.
There's also a lot of details on the other child's own traumatic past and how he had convinced my boys not to say anything for so long but it's irrelevant to the question I want to get to.
Around this age for my boys we were in the process of night time toilet training and were making some progress here and there, within the normal range. My youngest is a thumb sucker also and we were also trying to work on that too. My children and I then moved towns as I couldn't face my children still attending the same school as the other child or living so close to them anymore.
Over time, the bed wetting for both and the thumb sucking for my youngest just didn't seem to change. It just stuck. I seen doctors who tested for diabetes and checked their bladder and all was fine, I kept being told it was due to them being very heavy sleepers and to just be patient every time I went back. We've done water limitations at night, toileting before bed, night time beepers, setting all sorts of alarms to get them up, I have read so many books and tried so many suggestions to help them over come this and nothing is working.
I recently spoke with another professional about the bed wetting and she asked a bit more about the past SA. After I told her the above she told me that between the ages of 0 - 8 are critical ages for development and that it could very well be the underlying subconscious cause of the continued bed wetting and everyday stressors may be exasperating the issues. She seems very positive that we can work on it together and make progress for them.
I feel like I've had a bombshell dropped on me when she told me this. Is this information right? Could their continued bed wetting over the years be because of this past trauma? I feel so stupid for not realising the correlation.
I was reassured so many times that they would forget and they would be ok and it wouldn't affect them as they grew older.
Any advice is welcome, I just want my boys to be ok.

Just went up to 15mg, I inject on Thursdays. Was waiting for the usual up titrating blahs but this is hitting me hard! I’m almost listless, have no energy or drive to do anything. Kind of like a zombie. Barely wanna talk, interact, or be in public right now. It has been a very draining and stressful week (Federal employee here) so maybe it’s the combination but has anyone else run into this before?
Hoping the push to 15 will help me lose the last 30lbs I’ve been trying. It’s the hardest lbs to lose so far, been stuck plateaued here for a few weeks now.

Every time I go to change a product description and have the Shopify AI rephrase it these extremely long random paragraphs keep coming up. I’ll have a short sentence to rephrase and it seems to be taking data from other AI chats or websites? It’s hard to explain without a picture but for example the last one was a chat between the AI and some guy named Matt about his flashcards on Greek mythology. It’s happening every time and I’m not sure why.

2025.01.24 23:01 Mental_Local1459 My Problems With Season 3
Does anyone else feel like the core of the show has been tampered with too much this season? The seer completely ruined the finale because it made it so blatant that not only Charlotte was doomed - but so was Frankie and by extension Alexander.
There were moments this season where there were just such convenience that I can’t shake the idea that the producers simply rigged things to happen the way they did. For example - in episode 6 Dan got picked like 3 times to drop the goo on people and I watched it thinking “oh wow he’s unlucky” but after watching the rest of the episode where the death match was set up it just made me think the producers had to make sure the vote pivoted away from Linda just in case Minah got caught moving around the castle which would have been probable if she was the only one left and had no one to look out for her. To add to this Linda got voted out the very next episode so they were definitely hard set on her anyway.
The feature of having the contestants who are voted out not reveal their identity just seemed like a way to emphasise the power of the seer - they probably thought it would add ambiguity but everyone I was watching it with knew Leanne and Jake were going to win when Charlotte was chosen by Frankie.

My father recently completed a triple bypass. He was discharged today and seems in as good health as one could ask for. He’s bored stiff though, he has 6-8 weeks of not being allowed to lift more than 5lbs. I’m going to try and get him into fly tying for fishing, he won’t play video games, and can’t do most of his favourite things. Like shooting clay pigeons. I know he could read, but even a hardcore reader wouldn’t last 8 weeks of reading from morning to night. If anyone has any ideas of hobbies/tasks to break up the monotony that would be most appreciated.

2025.01.24 23:01 dap12036 Why did asylum seekers stop in the USA?
Take Venezuelans as an example. They are literally crossing 7 different countries (Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico), or even 8 (if you count El Salvador), and then claiming asylum in the USA. I would argue that after stepping foot in the 1st country, or 2nd, or 3rd, or 4th, or 5th (you get the point), they are no longer under the threat of why they are seeking asylum. Why is it that they are all stopping in the US? They could also continue onto Canada, but don’t.
As an aside, I love immigrants, Venezuelans, people in general. I hold no ill will towards anyone. This is a serious question that I’ve asked on other platforms and it turned into something other than the topic of asylum, with my actual question never being answered.
