So part of the reason our gas bills are going up is because of funding Mass Save with increased bills for fossil fuels. This makes it easier for homeowners to electrify. But for renters who pay their own gas bills, they have no such choice. In theory we are supposed to respond to increased gas bills by moving to cheaper all-electric homes. But in Mass, we have no such choice, due to broker's fees and high rental costs. In theory the law needs to put the cost of natural gas on landlords for them to have any incentive to electrify...

Hello everyone, UK (Scotland) based civil engineer here. 6+ years of experience in roads and a few weeks away from chartership. Hoping you could give me some advice as I'm at a bit of a loss for what to do here.
I'm in one of the big consultancy firms and just been given an offer for another large firm which involves a 20% base pay uplift. (£40k to £48k - 3% lower pension but a few more days annual leave. Total package value would be another 2-3 years at mummy current place at these rates. My last raise was a frankly insulting 2% on the basis that I got a promotion 4 months prior).
I'm currently in the roads industry but I've been keen to make moves to the energy market given nobody likes roads any more, and energy is the way forward. My current projects are pretty rubbish, although one aspect of mine seems like it would be useful. The workload for the next year years is secure, albeit uninspiring.
On that basis it seems like a great opportunity which I'd love to take but I have a number of concerns:
-I need to make my decision by the end of next week, however I have my chartership review in two weeks and won't find out my results for 5-6 thereafter. Am I foolish for moving without knowing the results, or even have an inkling of how my review went? And what do I do if I fail and have to resit without any support from those who'll worked on my project?!
-Has anyone here made an agile move of this nature? To be honest, it genuinely feels like my past 6 years has largely been cost estimate spreadsheets, paperwork and a stint on site for 1 year. I worry that I can talk the talk for highway technical skills after a lot of swotting up for my review, but this isn't matched in practice.
-Genuinely, is it worth the disruption and upheaval for an extra £150ish per month on my sort of wage given I could earn it in another 2-3 years. Those who know about Scotland's tax rates at that level will be aware about how highly taxed this band is and diminishing returns at that level but that's an argument for another day...
-I'm pretty terrible at building relationships and making connections thanks to being pretty socially awkward (why else do you think I'm an engineer?!) I genuinely enjoy who I work with and worry about being a loner for 2-3 years while I build up a rapport with my new colleagues. Again, is it worth it!?
I'd also lose out on a £2k bonus at my current firm which the new place doesn't seem open to offering (although I'll be asking at negotiations next week), but appreciate my increased pay should make up for it. Though on the flip side again, my current place is offering me a raise up to £44k.
I could list out a whole load of other pros and cons but these cover the basics. My gut says take the new job, my heart says no! What do you reckon?

Users can create schedules for daily (or weekly) actions they are taking towards meeting their goals, or just tasks they want to incorporate into their lifestyle (e.g. walk 10 minutes a day, workout for an hour 2x/week, etc.). For example, I can create a schedule that says "do a Peloton a workout at 6 pm M/W/F." Other users can join my "schedule" and do the workout at the same time as me. The app will add this M/W/F 6pm "meeting" to my phone's calendar. The app will send reminders that the scheduled event is starting. Those who joined the event can chat about what Peloton instructor they chose that day, what workout they did, share photos and cheer each other on. Similar schedules can also be created for existing communities who currently can't really talk to each other except through Youtube comments (e.g. the 12 million Yoga with Adrienne fans).
Other "events" could be "listen and [insert workout here]" clubs where everyone listens to the same playlist, podcast, show, audio, etc. while working on a task together (e.g. running, meal prepping, walking, lifting, etc.). People could "DJ" an event by submitting songs ahead of time. You could also have goals tailored for certain populations, such as someone who just got an ACL repair could join others in their daily physical therapy exercises.
I've heard from friends that like this idea. But what I'd really like to know is, if well executed, would you pay for it? If yes, how much per month?

Okay so I'm only asking this because I've noticed after two seasons of this show we still don't have that much world building along with lore about various different elements of the world of hell.
So I was hoping and wondering if you guys think we're going to actually get more information in regard to the world itself.
Because at this point we don't really know how anything works in hell We have the fictitious concept that there is a hierarchy despite the fact that there really isn't...
And you understand there's a class system of some kind but outside of specific set moments where it's going to be an obvious no duh. Moment we don't really see any classism.
I'm hoping that in season 3 and any other season afterwards cuz I think they're supposed to be at least four seasons We get more information about the sins more information about the caste system and more world-building because at this point hell doesn't even feel like anything it kind of just feels like people just existing.
In all of the sins and anybody of the hierarchy status kind of just feel like I guess see class celebrities who have the vague impression that they can do some shit.
Like let's be real besides Satan none of the sins really give me like the Prince / princess of their respective ring they all kind of just give off I'm just a diplomat here.. kind of like the Queen of England and the home monarchy for England everyone sees them as royalty but it's really the prime minister who actually does everything for England.

Hello! I currently use tret, azelaic acid, and thiamidol and am wondering about adding glycolic or vit C into the mix.
My routine:
AM: * cold water rinse * azelaic acid 20% * eucerin anti pigment (thiamidol) * SPF
PM * wash face * tretinoin cream 0.05%
This is working well. I’ve seen a dramatic reduction in melasma and other hyperpigmentation, acne has improved lots though I still get an occasional spot around the chin.
My questions: 1. Would there be benefit in introducing glycolic 7% toner to this routine? If so how/when? 2. What about vitamin C? Is there “room” for it here or would it be too much?
