Hello, to start I got my pulled over in August I just received my summons letter today in January. My BAC was .117 and they had got me as-well with dwi (weed I am a medical marijuana patient). I was going over 7 MPH on speed limit is the reasoning they pulled me over. I’m just unsure what do to. Should I get a lawyer? Or go with public defender? And what are the consequences that would come with this? I’m just honestly confused not sure what to expect from this and would like more clarification from others that have experienced this. My court date is March 26 not sure how fast I should be moving or if I should take it slow. Thanks in advance

2025.01.24 22:59 Ralf_Reddings pivot does not move when I change it to 'world' or 'parent'
I have a question about the objects pivot pivot, reading the manual and watching some random videos, I was under the impression that when I select a child object (object that is parented to another) and set its pivot to "parent" (tools options 'axis orientation'), the child objects pivot will be moved to the exact position of the parents pivot, in effect using the parents pivot. Also setting it to "world" worked similarly, that is the child objects pivot is moved to the scenes origin point.
In my test scene that I have set up the above does not seem to be the case at all, you can see the parent object pivot is off to the left, when I set the child objects 'axis orientation' to 'parent' its pivot does not move at all, same thing when I change it to 'world', the pivot does not move at all. Have I misunderstood things here?

This is the stupidest thing that has ever happened to me.
I, 18(F) have been going to the same summewinter camp since I was in 5th grade. My mom is a single parent and is always out of town for work and so during large breaks where I don't have school she sends me to camp. Its a couple hours from my city and Its pretty much a traditional camp. Theres cabins, activities, groups, arts and crafts, very basic camp shit. I enjoy it for the most part. Now that I'm older I usually just read by myself near the lake and its a very relaxing time for me or at least it usually is. There was a new councilor this past winter break that's a couple years older than me. She 20(F), lets call her Poe. Poe actually used to attend the camp with me as a kid and spread a shitty rumor about me that I would fart on peoples pillows. (no pun intended) This rumor Is not true. I never farted on anyones pillow. I made a couple jokes about in like 7th grade but I never actually did it. But Poe didn't take it like a joke and got everyone to call me pillow pooper for the whole summer. It was literally so embarrassing and I was already going through a awkward middle school phase and so it really affected my mental health. The jokes did not stop during that summer though the title of pillow pooper followed me around every year I went back and only stopped once Poe got too old to attend anymore.
So imagine my shock when Poe showed up the first week of winter camp and immediately called me pillow pooper AGAIN. I expressed to Poe that I didn't find it funny, it hurt my feelings, and that the joke was long over and she needed to move on. She just laughed in my face and continued to call me pillow pooper and got all the other councilors and campers to as well. I know its just a stupid nickname and I should get over it but It brings me back to the insecure, scared, sad little girl that I was when Poe first started call me the nickname. I asked her everyday to stop. I felt so pathetic. I was 18 years old still getting put down by my middle school bully and I couldn't do anything to stop it. And then I had a really funny idea. I wanted revenge and to take back control of the situation and so during on of the last days at afternoon art block I snuck into the councilor cabin Poe slept in and I actually did it. I farted on her god damn pillow. It felt so good. Like I was reclaiming my self respect or something. I didn't think anything would actually happen It was just for me to know. It was a final act of revenge before I would never have to see Poe again. I didn't think it would do any harm. But, it did. The next morning, the last day of camp, I didn't see poe all morning, but during lunch she bursted in the mess hall shouting my name. You might've guessed it that bitch got pink eye. It looked really bad and I had to hold in my laughter and she 'confronted' me about it. I told her I had nothing to do with it and left camp feeling accomplished. Heres where the big problem comes in, I'm a senior and I applied ED to one of my top schools and actually got in. Poe goes to the same school. I had not known this when I applied, Its a really good school in our state so it does makes sense I would know people going there. But her?? I just farted on her fucking pillow and now pillow pooper might follower me into my university career. HELL NO. Shes messaging my mom and telling her shes going to file for assault. I thought she was being stupid and I didn't think the police would care but now she says shes going to my universities admissions office and is going to get my admission revoked. I don't know if that's even possible but my mom and my friends think I fucked up but I still don't think I did anything wrong. So, AITAH for farting of my camp councilers pillow?

Got an electrician to come check out a house I’m in contract to buy. None of the outlets are grounded except 2. The electrical panel / breaker box has ufer grounding. He suggested installing a whole house surge protector at the electrical panel and GFCI on each outlet. Will this actually protect my devices or does it effectively just prevent electrical fires?

On the customs sticker it says the value of the item is $850, and it wasn’t marked as a gift so wouldn’t I normally have to pay duties? Nonetheless, I’m happy with that lol

Hello everyone. Hope you guys are doing well this new year.
I am in need of career advice. For the past couple of months, I've been doing a lot of research on various professions to declare a major because I am a freshman college student who is undecided.
When it comes to my interests, I am all over the place, which is why it's been so difficult to secure a field. Lately, the career I've been so lenient on has been industrial engineering.
I've reached out to someone on LinkedIn who gave me their insight, but everyone else has been ghosting me (I don't blame them, because I know they're busy, so it's not a problem).
The person on LinkedIn who graduated with an industrial engineering degree said it's very versatile and can be applied to any profession, even if you don't secure a job within the industrial engineering sector itself.
My hesitation stems from the curriculum. Various people on YouTube, UStrive, and the person I reached out to on LinkedIn said that it's a very math- and science-driven profession (as most engineering majors are).
I expected this, but I'm apprehensive about whether or not I can handle such subjects, which is making me question whether or not I should go down this field. I'm not particularly passionate about it; it just seems like a career that has a lot of benefits and could help me learn a lot of material.
Also, people have said that it's important to lay out which side of industrial engineering you wish to work on. For example, whether or not someone is centralized around manufacturing. I am passionate about helping other people, so maybe centralizing the major around healthcare could work. But I know that's not necessarily how it works, so what would you guys suggest?
I would love to hear any further insight that any of you may have about this profession and whether or not it is the right one for me. What things do you guys suggest? Who should I shadow? What things should one do to secure a job after graduation (internships, clubs, etc.)?
Other professions that I have been interested in include speech-language pathology, biomedical engineering, hydraulics engineering, mechanical engineering, accounting, finance, marketing, product management, technical writing, political science, sociology, etc. (Remember that I mentioned I am all over the place.). If you guys have any other fields you wish to add on, please do so as I am open to other options.

Okay so i try to play online as often as i can and im finally really getting back into it. BUT the only problem is i keep getting Network Errors and the game keeps crashing. I can play Red Dead 2 just fine but Online itself crashes everytime i get on it for a week now. I play on PS5 and it lets me logon, play for like 5 minutes and it kicks me out and what i assume, crashes. Any advice? Ive got things to do on there now🥲😭
