I’ve been wanting to buy a kindle and have been looking at second hand ones. There’s one on Facebook market place that says it’s the 2015 model and after some googling it seems to be the 7th generation paperwhite. It’s $50 and includes the charger and a case, is this a good choice? Most of the other ones I’ve found are $100+, this one seems to be in near perfect condition and the seller says they don’t get enough use from it and want it gone. I know it’s an older model and won’t be nearly as good as a new one, but is it a good option for now?

My boyfriend and I are on vacation in Cancun. Before we left for the trip, I considered canceling it completely because of how rampant noro is right now. After lots of angst, I decided to forge ahead and get on the plane. I didn’t want my phobia to win and hold me back from a great vacation.
We’re 2 days into the trip now. Earlier today, my boyfriend started complaining of a weird feeling in his stomach. He figured it was just something he ate, so we continued our day. He kissed me a few times (what I am currently spiraling about). He seemed OK, but just kept complaining about feeling a bit off.
Flash forward to tonight, and he’s been in the bathroom for the last 3 hours with v and d, chills, body aches, etc. I am so worried that he has noro.
I am in an absolute panic spiral. Getting noro in and of itself is horrifying enough, let alone away from home and in a foreign country. I’ve convinced myself that I’m already doomed since I kissed him a few hours before he started v.
I am currently on the balcony of our tiny hotel room, terrified to go back inside. I’m planning on sleeping out here and using the bathroom in the lobby.
Does anyone have any tips or coping mechanisms for the absolute panic and doom I am feeling right now? I feel hopeless, like I’m just waiting to start with symptoms at this point. If the noro doesn’t get me, I’m scared that this unbearable stress will!
This whole experience has showed me that I am in dire need of treatment for this phobia as soon as I get home. But in the mean time, can anyone share any strategies or words of encouragement that have worked for you? Thank you so much. It helps to not feel so alone with this awful fear.

Am I the only person that genuinely enjoys OG Zero Build? I get that the loot pool and points of interest count are low (Seasons 2 and 3 will fix some of this), but I think the mode plays out very well, especially given the current state of build modes.

2025.01.26 06:33 lildobe Is there any way to delay the absorption of a medication by 4 to 6 hours so it's working when I wake up in the morning?
I take a muscle relaxer (tizanadine) for my back, but its effects only last about 4 hours for me. This is a problem overnight because I wake up after 4-6 hours with horrible back pain and I can't get back to sleep.
I've talked with my doctor and unfortunately this is the only muscle relaxer I can tolerate, and it doesn't come in an extended release version...
Is there anything I can do to the pills to delay their action by 4-6 hours, so that it starts working halfway through the night and I can get a full 8 hours of sleep?

So i have a weird issue, one i have not been able to find anyone else having or any information regarding it whatsoever so now im here creating a post for it.
My issue is as follows. Occasionally (starts happening seemingly out of nowhere) i notice my mouse starts to act funny. When i do very small movements to the left and right it inverts its direction. Moving my mouse around with normal pace has no issues. Its only when making very small movements to the left and right. Its also not a consistent, itll change direction initially and then go back in its correct direction. It only fixes itself temporarily when unplugging the wireless adapter and plugging it back in.
My mouse is a logitech pro x superlight 2 and i have done the following as an attempt to fix it. Disabled mouse acceleration Tried different USB ports Firmware is up to date Reinstalled drivers

2025.01.26 06:33 Quirky-Bird123 MIL bringing drama to baby’s birth FOR THE SECOND TIME
When my first was born, there was all sorts of drama around his birth. Financial stuff, mostly to do with making sure my children inherit from them but not me (they have a little money but not a ton, not more than my family, and not nearly enough to justify the drama around it.) I didn’t object to it in principle, but it was done in such a mean and manipulative and pressure-filled way, I resent that the whole thing ruined my sons birth and my ability to enjoy that time, because they were there in my house for weeks after.
This time, I’ve made clear boundaries around their participating in #2’s birth (which is in a week or so). Out of NOWHERE this same topic comes up AGAIN, saying we need to redraft for the new baby and it needs to be done ASAP. I don’t believe this is true, but in any case, I said no fucking way am I dealing with this shit again. And I shut it down.
The problem now is me. I can’t stop feeling awful about this, it’s like a PTSD episode or something. I’m furious. All the negativity from last time has come flooding back.
I need to stop thinking about it, but I don’t know how. Maybe this is better in a psych sub, but anyway, posting here for consideration.
