I'm Catholic and since I got this condition, I am trying to live my faith to the fullest. I feel very identified with Job, as my mind doesn't stop asking "Why me?". I was improving but I suspect I have reinjured today (unable to get an erection again, like day 1, 6 months ago) and I want to kill myself. I will not do it because life is a gift and I am not so stupid to reject the rest of blessings I have in my life.
I don't want the rest of my days to be merely a battle against this thing, without a higher purpose than finding a cure, while my friends and my family cannot understand what I am going through.
In other times we may have founded a congragation, like the Leprous Knights of Saint Lazarus in the Middle Ages. I don't know what to do on these days. If there are other christians here it would be nice to talk.

So, I finally got approved for an apartment with my partner. I just had surgery ~1 week ago, and I was already planning on paying rent until the lease was up until may because...well it's only fair. Right?
Just got such a nice notice that because my partner, who i said a head of time, would be here for a few weeks [extended because plane fuckery ] that i'll be paying 2/3rds rent for the rest of the lease. I would understand if, yknow, i just decided to move them in mid-lease, or would be here with them until the end of the lease but no. Apparently, because they only decided to tell me now - my current roommate was paying 2/3rds because their partner who lives with us got laid off. Last year. They still don't have a job, and it's apparently OUR responsibility to pay for their unemployment/part of the rent bc my roommate can't afford it anymore. Again - they never communicated this to me. I thought, oh they must be doing something to cover their part...bc that's what I did when i was unemployed. No. Nor did they communicate this with me beforehand. Just decided, today, that me and my partner, were gonna be responsible for 2/3rds cos we can afford it. This is fucking bullshit.
'well you moved them in' no. I warned you AHEAD of time that they'd be here. I'm even ok paying more on those months because that's understandable, but what's unfair is because you decided not to communicate that YOU were paying more because your partner was unemployed that I have to pick up slack now - not your unemployed can't find a job.
'well I've been paying 2/3rds and can't afford it' ...how is this my issue. I didn't agree to these terms when i first moved in, nor did you tell me any of this previously.
I was already nervous moving when i'm only two of the six weeks through recovery and now i've gotta worry about finances. Again.
Am I losing my fucking mind? Why weren't we just paying everything even?? I'm just so lost.

I think it's more obvious in the last season, when multiple ppl can spam magic seemingly without any restrictions. Like why would you use anything else if you can just shoot fire at enemies from a safe distance?
Now imagine they, just like in most games, have an MP limit, that they can only use certain type of powerful moves a few times. That makes the fight much more exciting, because the fighter, while still powerful, will need to THINK how to engage the opponent in creative ways.
Like let's not fool ourselves, we know Alucard is gonna win, we know the Belmont bloodline is not going out any time soon. The fun is not to see them win, the fun comes from HOW they win. From watching the last season I just felt like they yell loud and keep spamming magic and making ice fist and win the fight.
Also they really like ice magic don't they? Ice wipe ice fist ice wall ice stepping stone ice umbrella?!

Tonight, I have a date with a guy I matched with on Bumble. He’s really sweet, respectful, and seems genuinely interested in getting to know me, potentially even for a relationship. He’s picking me up around 5 p.m. downtown since I have an appointment at 3:45 p.m. to get my birth control implant removed. Afterward, we’re planning to grab some pizza and then head to his place to watch a movie.
I’m pretty sure his intentions aren’t to have sex, but if things end up going that way, I’m unsure whether I should tell him about my HSV-2 diagnosis or just say I’m not interested in hooking up for other reasons. If I do decide to tell him, I’m unsure of how to approach the conversation along with his reaction and if I don’t, I’m worried about how he’ll react if I turn him down.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? How do you navigate being upfront about your health while also keeping things respectful and considerate of both people’s feelings? Would love any advice or experiences you can share!

A Clockwork Orange is my favorite Kubrick movie, and it's for the most part a pretty loyal adaptation of the book. All except for one part: they didn't film the final chapter. For those who don't know, Kubrick based his script on an American version of A Clockwork Orange that for whatever reason omitted the final chapter, which ties up a few things and recontextualizes the whole story.
Spoilers for the final chapter of a 50 year old book:
In the final chapter, after having the effects of the Ludovico Technique reversed, Alex is more or less back to his old ways. He forms a new gang of droogs and starts committing rampant crimes just like he did at the beginning. But as time goes on, he starts getting bored and disillusioned with the whole thing. One day he runs into his old droog Pete at a café, who has long since reformed, gotten married and now lives a pretty normal life. This inspires Alex to do the same, become a productive member of society and maybe start a family of his own.
