This just showed up in my app and I literally started laughing. Seriously?? How can that get missed from the factory? I’m assuming you can rock the chair back and forth to see if it’s loose? Or is this a Boeing style issue where they just forgot a few bolts and a door flys off mid flight.

I change small details here and there so posts hopefully won't trace back to me. If some details don't add up, that's why! For the sake of this post, I'll say that the call center I worked in dealt with financial planning.
I worked there when the company was new, and management still cared about the clients and customer service. They have since been bought up by a corporation that thinks people don't really want their questions answered; they want to be called Madam Smith, or Mister Blake: titles of respect triumph over customer service, right?!
I digress.
Back in those good, early days, a potential client called and wanted a referral to a financial planner. He said he was very easy going and simply wanted someone competent. He didn't care about fancy titles, or extensive credentials in an email signature.
"But no Jews," he said firmly.
This was not covered in my employee training manual.
"Excuse me?" I asked, my mind slowly clearing from the shock as I debated "accidentally" disconnecting the call.
"I said no Jews," the caller said. "You can't trust them."
At this point, one of my supervisors speedwalked toward me. Apparently, I had been one of the randomly selected employees whose calls were being monitored for quality assurance.
"Tell them you'll transfer them to a manager and put them on hold," my supervisor said.
I did so, but said, "This is wrong."
"I'll take care of it," my supervisor said, picking up the handset on my phone as my respect for him took a dive.
"Hello, sir? This is [supervisor's name]. I'm a manager at [employer]. I hear you're looking for a financial planner?" He listened to the caller, repeating, "Right, but no one who is Jewish. Understood. It sounds like you won't be a good fit for our company."
And then he hung up.
"That's how you deal with assholes," he said, adding, "I mean, get one of us to tell them."
Amazingly, that guy called back! The same supervisor repeated that we don't work with bigots, then gave the rest of us permission to just hang up should he call again.

Hey guys thought I’d jump on and post be careful with taking to much supplements I have been taking so many different supplements to help with this hpv. I recently had a blood test to check all my vitamins b12,b6,b3 vitamin A,E,C and minerals levels. And some of the vitamins levels came back extremely high So my doctor said I need to stop taking supplements as my body is getting way to much vitamins which can cause health issues. My doctor suggested to take one supplement no need to take so many. So now I’ll just stick with Ahcc and all mushroom supplements. But the rest I’ll stop. Suggest to speak with your doctor before taking supplements.

Wow. I recently switched to Effexor after being on Zoloft for nearly 10 yrs. I was aware of the dangers of mixing any antidepressants with alcohol but never really felt anything with Zoloft. I switched about a month ago and drank for the first time since starting Effexor and holy shit. I was GONE, I was trying to half a calm night and drank only about 4 standard drinks and was almost passed out. On Zoloft it would take me over twice that to get anywhere near the state I was in. It was totally my fault and an oversight on my end but the 180 from Zoloft to Effexor was crazy. So please take this as a reminder to always check before drinking.

2025.01.24 23:41 barrack_osama_0 Microsoft is slowly working on bringing all CoD's to Gamepass

For those who don't know, they've been slowly porting CoD to the PC Microsoft store. Right now they have WaW and every non-Treyarch game up to WW2, excluding Infinite Warfare and MW remastered. Not sure if they share matchmaking with Steam, all of them specifically state in their descriptions that they don't support cross platform play, so idk if they're just specifying that it's not console cross-play or if they use their own exclusive matchmaking, or server browsers, or anything really. If anybody here has bought and played them and could comment on that it would be appreciated. I also don't know if there is any new updated anti-cheat, or public theatre mode servers for the games that support it.
Every game of the 360 era costs $20 except MW3 for some reason which is at $40, and the Xbox One gen games cost $60.
I also want to make it known that none of the games other than WaW and MW1 come with the DLC, and it can only be purchased through a season pass, you can still buy supply drops in AW, and the Ghosts skin packs were all combined into a customization pack that costs $120 (LOL), and we can unfortunately probably expect the same for BO2.
All of the games are also on sale between 25% to 50% off, but no DLC's are on sale, which makes me think that either they will bundle the DLC's with Gamepass Ultimate, or they plan on squeezing money out of everyone by giving them the game with Gamepass and them making you buy the season pass. Hopefully the former.
The final difference between the original versions that I can see without buying them is that the DLC assets are included in the base game and just locked behind the purchase, meaning that the games will be significantly larger regardless of if you own the DLC or not.
I'd also like to add that they might actually put some effort into making the online experience actually playable, the Microsoft store port of New Vegas had it's RAM usage limit removed along with various other tweaks to make the game only crash every few hours instead of every half an hour like it did on the 360 and like it does on Steam unmodded. I also heard from a friend that it runs alright on the Series X now too, so maybe they'll update the console ports to support 4k 120 fps as well.

This iPad is my baby, since this is my first ‘big purchase’ with my own money. I handled this with extra care, no scratches or dents. Installed matte screen protector and a case after unboxing. After speaking with an Apple agent, they mentioned that my iPad has a slight light leakage (not sure since I only spoke with them thru their website). It’s not really noticeable in regular use, but I’ve observed it after extended periods in GoodNotes.
