I haven’t officially come out to my parents yet, but like, they definitely know. It’s one of those things where no one says anything, but it’s obvious, you know? For the longest time, I avoided dating completely—life was just too much, and I was still trying to figure out who I even was. Somewhere along the line, I started over-sexualizing myself, kinda making it way too easy for men to treat me like an object. But now? I’m just like, fuck it. I want to be myself, like fully, because I’m tired of holding back. I want to feel free.
I’m pretty average-looking, nothing crazy, and I’m not super connected with the queer community here, honestly. But having queer female friends has been huge for me. Lately, though, hooking up hasn’t been it for me—it’s just not fun anymore. Maybe I get too horny out of boredom or something—probably because my hobbies have been taking a backseat haha—but like, I wanna focus on something real now.
I feel like this year is different. I’m ready for something special, something meaningful. I even wanna learn how to take care of myself better—like, I’ve never learned how to douche properly (yikes, I know, I’ve just raw dogged it lol). But more than that, I just wanna give someone my all. And yeah, the physical stuff excites me, obviously, but now I’m like, ugh, I want to fall for someone’s smile, their energy, their vibe, you know? That’s the kind of fun I wanna have.
Dating apps, though? Absolute hell. They’re the worst. It’s like this endless game of swiping and ghosting and nobody’s intentions are ever clear. But this year, I’m serious about it. I wanna go on dates with people who actually wanna go on dates with me, not just hook up or waste time. I’m just rambling now, but I really want to feel free and, like, finally put myself out there for real. I’m ready to risk it, to show someone who I really am. Let’s see how this year goes

So, I need to vent because I’m honestly feeling like an absolute fool right now.
I was at a relatives wedding recently in Samalka, and people were tossing money around during the bride and grooms dance. So, naturally, I started collecting the notes. By the end of the event, I had managed to gather close to ₹10,000 I think(which was a lot for me, honestly). I felt pretty good about it when I was approached by a fat uncle who was actually looking at me for some time. “Hey, kid, how much money have you collected?” I looked at him, still holding the cash, and said, “I’m not really sure, uncle, maybe around ₹10,000. I was about to count it.” I started fumbling with the notes as I tried to count. He ruffled up my hair, and slapped me lightly on the back said “Wow, ₹10,000 huh? You’ve got some serious hustle in ya son!" I was counting a bit slow and got distracted again by his actions, so then—he hands me the juice cups he’s holding and says he can count it faster than me and and told me to hand over the cash notes to him. I was so naive, I didn’t even think twice. I handed him the entire pile of money, thinking he was just going to count it and give it back to me. So, now I’m standing there holding these two juice cups, completely distracted. He pats my cheeks as he counts the notes and says to me its already crossed 5000 rs before midway so I must have collected a lot more notes than I originally told him. I was pretty happy hearing that and just smiled at him. Then uncle got a phone call and he said its urgent and he has to pick it up he will be right back, he just walked slightly away from me and still within my vision so it felt fine to me. I just looked away for a second or two and turned back to look for him and he went missing. I panicked in a few seconds as I couldn't locate him anymore. Walked around asking people if they’ve seen him... but he’s just... gone.
AND that’s when it hit me. That fat uncle tricked me and took all my 10000 rs or maybe even more and escaped. Every single rupee. Gone.
I feel SO stupid and like a total dumbass for becoming fooled so easily like this. I know there is no coming back from this but just wanted to vent out so did!!
TLDR: Collected notes thrown in wedding dance. Uncle duped me in the context of counting the cash for me and swindled me clean
