jour/journée, soir/soirée, matin/matinée. La différence entre an et année se retrouve dans les mots jour et journée, soir et soirée, matin et matinée.. Le mot jour renvoie plutôt aux repères chronologiques que sont les jours de la semaine (lundi, mardi,etc.) tandis que le mot journée exprime une durée, la journée considérée dans son déroulement (du matin au soir). Savez-vous expliquer la différence entre AN et ANNÉE ? Ces deux mots veulent dire à peu près la même chose, n’est-ce pas ? Ils sont plutôt difficiles à utiliser pour ceux qui apprennent le français. Voici comment en expliquer facilement la différence. Ni l’un, ni l’autre. On écrit : « un an ». On ne met jamais de « s » à « an » quand il suit « un ». S’il n’y en a qu’un, il ne peut pas être au pluriel: an s’accorde avec un.En français, le pluriel commence à deux (ce qui n’est pas toujours le cas en anglais). Ainsi, il faudrait écrire, « mes/les/ses/nos un an ».Cependant, comme on peut le deviner, ces expressions ... 1. Bonjour, « An » s’accorde avec « un« , donc reste au singulier. L’expression « les un an » est inappropriée même si elle est du langage courant, puisqu’il n’y a qu’une année passée et on devrait dire « fêter sa première année ». Citations avec an. She was a really really niche creator with not many subscribers, she’d go live often but she’d only get like 25 views on them (makes it way harder to identify her i know) i think she was american and usually her role plays were “doing your makeup for a date”. i remember in her room in the background there was a painting of a horse. she would also have her makeup done really messily, lipstick off the lips, blue eyeshadow kinda just wiped onto the eyelids, and she’d get hated on for that. on one of her lives she once talked about how her coworkers found her channel and were laughing at it in the break room. i also remember she did a few lives in her kitchen
i know this is INSANELY niche but her lofi ASMR was so good it’d send me to sleep instantly, if anyone knows her or finds her i’ll be forever grateful

My wisdom teeth on the right side were taken out. I feel it was an unnecessary operation. I'm suffering from TMJ and the right side of my jaw is very stiff. I also feel there's a hole that needs to be filled... it's so uncomfortable to eat from that side of the mouth. Also, it made my face thinner and asymmetrical.
I don't have a photo of my mouth after the surgery,because the dentists don't wanna give it to me for some reason...

My (potential mis)understanding of The Myth of Sisyphus is that suicide is deemed an invalid conclusion to becoming conscious of the absurd, bc it:
1) contributes to and expands the absurd moreso than living
How is this the case? Are you not perpetuating the absurd constantly regardless of what you do or don’t do in any given moment, and whether or not you exist?
2) Is an act of giving in to the absurd rather than defying it
How is it possible to defy the absurd, when it is all encompassing? Is the storyline of a person defying the absurd, not just an absurd fantasy in itself? You could immediately collapse the narrative of triumph or defiance with just marginal changes to the framing of your actions, stripping away the previously established subjective value.
What makes any framing any less absurd? Sure, imagining Sisyphus happy makes his conditions more tolerable, but is he not also a powerless individual romanticizing his compliance with his oppression? Maybe his headspace will feel more pleasant, but is it really superior to sitting at the base of the hill, unmoving, and refusing to continue his punishment simply bc it is unjust, and waiting to be further tormented by the gods?
2a) this is established to somehow be dfferent than ‘embracing’ the absurd, which is characterized as a positive action but also a defiant one even though existing in the face of absurdity is also described as an absurdity
I don’t understand how Camus values certain ways to engage with the absurd, but not others, or what makes an action spite the absurd rather than enable it.
3) assumes a false answer (‘there is no meaning in the world, and meaning is needed to exist’)
Is this not a very specific assumption? Could one not both be at peace with a world without meaning, but also realize they don’t need or want to experience the absurd consciously?

Sorry for the bit of a rant
I'm a Finance student in my Penultimate year from a target school. I've starting to lose my hope of ever finding an Internship here in the UK whilst my classmates are all happily being picked up one by one by bulge bracket companies. I'm get that since I'm a foreign student it's naturally going to be hard but is it so hard to acquire any form of internship to gain some work experience because I genuinely hope to stay and have a career here in the UK and I have been applying since late July last year and I keep on getting rejected at different stages. Any helpful tips as to how do I turn things around or any experienced redditors can tell me what am I doing wrong.
