2025.01.26 06:16 Tricktrick_ Anyone know exactly what kind d of "heat shrink tubing" this is?
 | It's under the hood of a car (2018 Kia OptimaLX2.4). Seems to be the only wire wrapped like this. It is the two wires (red and peanut butter colored, then a very thin later some kind of wire fiber shielding, then some kind of hot glue lined tubing. I had to break it down to reveal why it was so stiff. It's as stiff as a strong tree twig but is pretty hard to bend. People keep saying it's typical glue lined heat shrink tubing, but it doesn't seem to be, which is why I cut it open to have a look. It caught fire in a certain spot, and I have to splice new wire in. The wire part is easy, but this specific type of tubing is holding me back since I don't know where to get it. I want to have some very specific notes live directly in my Cryptomator vault. I‘m hoping to find an app that will allow all of the notes to live in the Cryptomator vault and then I can use the notes app (when the vault is unlocked) to view, edit, and create new notes.
The Cryptomator vault will live on a USB drive.
Anyone know of a notes app that will work? I was hoping Obsidian could do it but looks like it can’t…

I don’t like Rachel. Not only does she seem to swoop in out of no where and create weird tension, I feel like she’s gonna make it even more complicated to get Bradford and Chen back together. On top of that, ghosting your friend for 6 months, crashing on their couch and even going straight to the station from the airport is weird to me. Who flies to their old home city and immediately goes to an old friends workplace to ask for a place to crash. I just find her character to be annoying and needy.. just me?

2025.01.26 06:16 IPray4Youu 8 months- will this get better?
I've been off of the pill for 8 months. I've had so many side effects coming off the pill and some are improving but the 2 ones I'm most concerned with are hairloss and brain fog. They are not improving. The hair keeps falling and isn't growing back and the brain fog is sooo bad. My memory and ability to concentrate and understand things is horrible. Stuff like acne, oily skin, cramping, and migraines have just recently improved a bit this month for the 1st time. I'm just scared for my brain, like what if I'm this bad forever? And what if my hair just keeps falling and falling and not growing back? I have an endocrinologist and neurologist but my horomones are all normal and the neurologist seems not concerned. Basically looking for any experiences or reassurance that I'll go back to normal. Thanks

Long story short, I have a close friend (NT) and her husband, who just finished Air Force training (~8 weeks long) is now stationed about an hour away from where they live. Since being stationed near home, he’s allowed to have his cell phone. Today, she messaged me about how she’s been asking him for nude pics for a couple days, but he hasn’t sent any. My partner (also NT) saw the messages and said it made him uncomfortable, and that I would be upset if the roles were reversed (I wouldn’t, though). He’s mentioned feeling jealous at times because she and I talk so much, so I don’t know if his feelings are tied to that or if I’m in the wrong
Am I being insensitive for not understanding or agreeing with his perspective, or is he overreacting a bit? Are these kinds of conversations really that unusual/inappropriate

Hi , I wanted to reply to some old threads that have been archived, so I wanted to make a new post in case anyone else has news of this issue being resolved in their localities.
For context, I have a ATT prepaid account currently, and I want to switch into an existing ATT postpaid account (my family's). I've been to 2 corporate stores in my phone number's area code, but they've been unable to switch it over, showing me their screen where it says "unable to switch account type from advance to arrear". My friend has had the same issue, but was unable to switch from US Mobile to ATT postpaid, so I'm worried about porting out and back in. Any corporate or AR employees know what's going on? Thanks!!

It doesn’t need to integrate with any specific app or service. I just want to record audio, transcribe it, and create concise summary notes locally.

getting some blisters on the medial side of my heel bone. i’m almost certain my skinning technique is to blame, i lift my ski when i stride more often than not, especially going up medium steep terrain. how do i stop this? any good cues you have for good technique? im a fairly novice tourer and have had this issue in 3/4 boots ive worn.
fwiw my skins don’t have a ton of glide and my boots (hawx prime) dont have a ton of cuff movement due to friction

I truly hate my boss. She's mean and targets me because my race is different from hers but HR refuses to do anything. She ridicules me and puts me down everyday, tells me I "need to work harder" but I'm creating document after document but they don't satisfy her. I took this job to get out of my last job in an unrelated field.
I overall have 4.5 years in the environmental field ranging from research, environmental health, community organizing, toxicology and GIS.
I don't feel passionate about writing reports because anytime I do, I get treated like trash by my boss. I also get paid less than 50,000 which makes it hard to live, let alone thrive.
I have a bachelors in Environmental Studies and a Masters in Environmental Science. Due to some health issues, I can't do a ton of field work.
I know with the debacle in the government, loads of those workers are also going to be seeking out jobs in the private, state and tribal sectors.
Any advice on what to do or where to go from here?
I'd love to stay in this field but I have very limited options because I live in a rural area that has few choices in the PNW.
