2025.01.25 01:09 SoggyContribution239 New mortgage company is causing me headaches
A couple months back I went to pay my mortgage only to discover it had been sold to phh mortgage and it’s been a pain ever since. My login seems to randomly stop working and information and services that were free with my old company now cost money. Wtf.
Then, today I’m sitting down to go through emails when I find one from phh saying my monthly payment will be increasing almost $200 a month. Looking into my escrow, only change is my home insurance as going up $800 a year. I am perplexed as to how an additional $800 a year comes out to me having to pay an additional $2400 a year.
I think I want to see if I can just pay my taxes and home insurance myself going forward because this increase seems so fishy. My old mortgage company I overpaid the escrow my first year since they over estimated the taxes and then the following years there was very little change from year to year.
What’s most frustrating about this is they seem to charge a fee to talk to a live person, but the first sixty days my mortgage was with them they didn’t charge any fees. They made this change right after I hit sixty days. And with one week of notice before my next (increased) payment is due.
Is removing everything from escrow difficult? In addition to property taxes and home insurance, I also have mortgage insurance and am nit sure who that is through so I’ll need to check my original paperwork.
Is it weird that they are increasing it more than double the increased charges in escrow? Could it be based on an assumption that property insurance is going to skyrocket? I’m in the Midwest so not really a disaster prone state.

2025.01.25 01:09 sissysoftyy What's the point of an M7 MBA if yous till can't get the elite PE jobs?
It's been mentioned countless times before the going into PE post-mba requires prior PE experience pre-MBA.
In the highly rare ocassion where some small PE fund takes on an intern with no prior PE/investing experience, they would still need elite IB/MBB pre-MBA experience.
MBAs don't seem to be this magical career changer to elite jobs that business schools purport.
Since your pre-MBA experience will be the most important determining factor in your ability to obtain an elite job post-mba, what's the whole selling point of a prestigious M7 MBA when you are still so heavily reliant on your pre-mba experience?
Someone who did IB - > small PE fund - > Cornell MBA, will do far better in terms of getting an elite post-MBA job than someone who doesn't have elite pre-MBA experience, but is at Harvard/Stanford.
Maybe I'm just being naive but if you are paying so much money for an MBA and are going to Harvard/Stanford, surely you'd expect the name brand to help you, right? That's not an unreasonable expectation...
And yet Harvard/Stanford on their own are still not enough to get elite PE/investment management roles after the MBA.
Having elite pre-MBA work experience and going to Cornell for your MBA is far better than not having elite pre-MBA work experience and going to Harvard/Stanford for your MBA.
It seems pre-MBA experience matters a lot more when trying to get the elite jobs than simply going to Harvard/Stanford.

I feel like I’m just not that farty of a person. The guy I’ve been dating is like, literally always farting. I can’t even believe it. Just big huge farts, always. They rarely smell so I don’t care that much but I don’t know if I should be concerned about how much he farts or concerned about how little I fart in comparison. But I’ve lived with boyfriends for like 12 years straight and they never farted this much.
He is 6’4 and 230lbs and is an eating machine. So maybe he just has a lot of chemistry going on and I’m very skinny and not the biggest eater so maybe that’s why it seams crazy to me. He also has a hernia coming out of his belly button, could that cause it too?
I recently realized I probably have celiac and one of the symptoms is being very gassy. Can’t relate but almost wondering if he has it because of that. Are their other conditions that cause excessive farting or is this just standard for a big dude that just eats a lot?
I realize stating how much you fart is hard to measure but like, what’s the standard here?

2025.01.25 01:09 RprShadow Mel feels like Morgana 2.0 and i want buffs.
This isn't the first time a new champion has come out and just flat out seems to be the design of the old champion "but better" and ill admit their ultimates have no corelation, but Morgana's ultimate is already a very lackluster spell and it doesnt do enough to give people a reason to use her over Mel imo. (Besides her amazing design, lore, and charactization.)
First off Mel E is just better Morgana Q. It can hit multiple enemies, CC or Slow if it glances, and has better damage potential. Morg Q is only the better version if youre hitting a single enemy.
Mel Q is better Morgana W. Longer range, better damage, faster. The fact that its projectiles and not burn ticks doesnt matter to like 90% of the champions in the game.
Mel W is a WAY better blackshield. For years weve been told how STRONK black shield is and its often the excuse why Morgana cant be inproved or reworked to be more skillful and fun. Then they drop a champion with a WAY better version that not only bounces back any projectile in the game and therfore has huge playmaking and damage potential....but it doesnt come at the cost of being completely useless against all AD damage like black shield. Nor can it be poked off by a single magic damage spell, like black shield.
Im not even gonna bother going into detail about how much better Mel's passive is. Morgana basically doesnt even have one.
The ultimate is the ONLY catagory where an argument can be made that theres any type of uniqueness to Morgana's kit when measured against the likes of similar mages like Mel, Neeko, Lux, or Seraphine. But what sucks if that Morgana OBJECTIVELY has the weakest and hardest to use ult out of all of these champions.
Its bullshit that Morgana cant be updated to be more modern just because she "has a good fanbase" or "she still has a high playrate". Like, okay, awesome. Shes a GREAT design and people really like her. But its in spite of her gameplay and i think every avid enjoyer of the champion knows that.
