2025.01.25 01:12 LouBateman How can I break a decade’s old curse placed on me?
When I was a teenager I dated this guy for a few years before the relationship crashed and burned. Coming down to the end of the relationship his grandmother told my mother that his mother was doing spell work on me to “steal my destiny and my luck” and give it to herself and to him.
At the time and for many years that followed I never believed it despite my life crashing and burning overnight following our breakup.
It seemed as if no matter what I did and how hard I pushed myself there was always this invisible leash holding me back. Being someone who prefers to take responsibility for her actions I just chalked it up to depression and anxiety and even got a diagnosis of PTSD after I started to suffer from severe anxiety attacks and the inability to leave the house.
Despite my doubts about what the grandmother, who is now deceased, said there have been so many moments over the years that have made me start to wonder if there was some merit to what she said. The latest moment happened a few minutes ago and inspired this post.
I kid you not, over the last few years I have had atleast ten people tell me that someone cursed me. These people range anywhere from a random old lady sitting next to me on the bus who said she could see the shadow over me, to another older woman approaching me in the grocery store telling me that she could see the curse placed on me and that I should keep praying for protection, to psychologists noting the stark contrast between my life pre-breakup to my life now, to online tarots mentioning I’ve been cursed, to Reddit psychics mentioning me being cursed.
These are not people I’ve sought out in hopes of them confirming what was said. They have all been 100% random and 100% consistent.
One friend who genuinely believed that I was cursed encouraged me to be baptized in hopes that it would remove the curse which I did in 2018/2019. I genuinely don’t think it made much difference.
I’ve even moved far away in hopes of severing those ties because I would cross paths with the family daily no matter where I went and when I went. I’m talking, deliberately changing my route home only to look up to see my ex driving behind me. I even started to make it a game where I would leave the house randomly and drive to somewhere completely random only to cross paths with either my ex or his mom to confirm that I was not crazy about them being tied to me somehow.
Apparently the curse was done using my underwear but I am not 100% sure because I didn’t give it much thought when his grandmother initially tried to warn my mother. I think his mother buried my underwear somewhere or something like that.
I’m not 100% sure if I’m just starting to get paranoid but how can I break this curse?

2025.01.25 01:12 maddada_ Lesser known ways to take pics remotely and do air gestures on all Samsung devices (sharing since Bluetooth S Pen was removed)
In case someone needs to take pictures remotely on the S25 ultra (or other Samsung devices) here's a list of other ways to do it without Bluetooth S Pen (there might be a few that I missed, please share them in commenrs)
• Show your palm to take pictures from a far (it snaps a pic after few seconds)
• You can say cheese to take pics (there's other ways in the camera settings)
• You can use the Galaxy Buds 3 and say "play music" and it'll snap a Pic (hands free commands)
• You can use the Galaxy Watch to set up how the picture will look before snapping remotely.
• You can get the S Pen Pro which is sold seperately but has air gestures (issue is you'd have to carry it seperately and charge it every once in a while but it might be fine for some people)
• Many tripods/selfie stick combo (even cheap ones) come with a small Bluetooth button that you can connect to the phone to take pics.
I would've loved if they kept the Bluetooth S Pen but it looks like only single digit percentage was using it so they decided to reduce the weight and remove the battery and extra hardware.

First time using Lightroom instead of the free alternative darktable, little learning curve but I’m decently happy with the results. I know the editing will come with practice and watching how tos. Hi ladies hope everybody is having a speedy recovery. I’m currently just shy of 12 weeks post op. I have been cleared at 6 weeks and have been having intercourse since 8 with no issues. Hello Everyone,
Canadian here I could really use some advice. In university i was charged with assault and utter threat charges by my ex at the time. the charges were dropped and later expunged as it was all false and the crown did not think they could pursue this. I got accepted to a top MBA program in Canada and looking to pivot into a more financial role. for the past 5 years i have been working at 1 of the 5 big banks in Canada. I have been networking with mba students from the same school who are now working in IB and i think ill have a good chance to atleast get an interview with my previous experience and networking.
- would this be a problem with regulators if i land a role in IB? i currently pass the normal background check for canadian banks. I also got an official RCMP fingerprint police check done and there were no results found with my name if that helps
- are there lawyers that handle this that i can talk to?
- and in canada would i have to disclose it working in IB?
- anything else i should know?
