What I tried doing was adding both 5x-10 and 2x-6, then equating it to pi. After that , I thought after getting x I can answer it but if I substitute x which is 2.73, 5x-10 becomes greater than pi and 2x-6 becomes negative.

2025.01.26 06:22 agent0017 What books, videos or classes do you recommend to someone who becomes way too anxious and toxic when dealing with situations that aren't perfect?
My biggest issue is that when a conversation goes in a way I don't like even if it was seriously minimal, I start panicking and become pretty sour and angry. I also start to act like a victim, while I don't mean it I can also come off as manipulative. I've got this behaviour unfortunately from my father who does similar things, but even worse.
The thing is my conversations with family and friends go seriously well when everything is light hearted, jokey, but as I've said, when things become uncomfortable or not to my full liking I start overreacting drastically.
I want to head to a direction where I don't wanna be like my father. I feel like my relationships with people are becoming way too strained when I behave like this.
So I would like to get recommendations on certain books, videos or classes I can take. I know therapy is also the main thing, but I also wanna do things outside the session so I'm working on myself pretty much 24/7.

I was sexually harassed by an employee at a property amongst other things. I complained to Marriott and they essentially told me to take it up with the property. After being refused a refund for my stay, they offered discounted services on my next stay with them. I obviously said no, as if I’d ever go back there. They offered me 10k points which I declined because that is nothing. Now they’re offering 15k points but I have to sign a release in order to get it.
Is this normal or acceptable? I don’t really agree with this.

Once again, the parties have shifted somewhat. To start, the Republican Coalition has absolutely collapsed, meaning that they are no longer an option and their many, many individual internal divisions are unrecognized parties. Secondly, the Pirate Party! has reorganized into a recognized party (as in they can hold as many seats as they win), the "Party for Prosperity through Piracy" (PPP). They legitimately advocate for piracy now, which probably won't end well, but whatever. Next, a new party called the Neutral Bloc has formed, which hopes to maintain total neutrality, like in the days of the Fisher's Republic. If they win our SRP would likely dissolve and we would most likely return to a state of isolation. Also the EEP and PDP have merged into one Generally Progressive Party, the General Progress Party. Finally, the Colonial League, made up mostly of major corporations which wish to exploit the new world.

Since i turned 42 in 2023, i have had episodes of heart flutters, it's a feeling of multiple beats that a quick lasting for a few seconds that can be felt near the heart and through the the throat. No other symptoms. I started jotting down when they occur and seems to happen during my cycle and then just before. Doesn't happen every month but it's so scary because foe those few seconds I feel like im going to drop dead. The health anxiety kicks in and I feel fearful for the next few days. Could this be perimenopause due to the estrogen levels/hormones? I've booked an appointment with my GP to get my heart checked out (scan) to rule out anything sinister. Has anyone gone through this?

I am currently going through the worst shift I’ve had at this property and need to vent about the 3 fires Ive had today.
Fire #1
I arrive right on time for my afternoon and evening shift, only to be greeted by an angry mob in the lobby and a 100% occupancy. Why are they mad? There are no rooms ready for their 3PM check in. As soon as I get behind my computer to check our arrivals, I am greeted by an angry middle aged man who has been waiting in line for an outstanding 6 minutes!
“Why aren’t there any rooms available? Everyone wants to get into their room!”
Everyone was talking at the same time so I wasn’t able to understand the mob, so I gave everyone a big “LETS CALM DOWN!” To set the tone of who is in charge. I will definitely be getting a bad review for this outburst but thankfully I have nothing to lose from getting fired. Im only here for the discount.
Fire #2
Our cheap and sleezy GM wants to make sure all of our rooms are sold today, despite one room reeking of urine. Not only that, one room was completely trashed and to cut costs, our GM only scheduled a handful of housekeepers. What does this mean for us? It means that I have to go and clean the room. I have no experience in housekeeping and needless to say I was exhausted running around trying to flip the room in order to meet our 100%. After cleaning a room, I had to go back to the front desk and cover my colleague‘s lunch.
Fire #3
What is the cause of our 100%? A little leagues soccer tournament. Those of you in hospitality know that sport teams are the absolute worst. The parents only care about one thing and one thing only, alcohol.
I’ll give you an examples of the type of parents I am dealing with. A child is begging for her mom to buy her some chips. The mother is clearly buzzing and is too lazy to go and buy the chips herself. What does she do? She hands the child her credit card. The child comes up to me and says “I don’t know how to use this card, can you help me? I just want some chips”. Poor little girl was expected to know her mothers PIN code. The mother gets up eventually and knocks down a wet floor sign. Does she pick it up? No.
I have been running up and down nonstop making deliveries all night since I am by myself. The final cherry on top is that we are out of towels, pillows, and bed sheets. The phone is ringing off the hook and I am not answering. Hopefully they give up and go to sleep.
