That is the new James C. Scott book, from Yale University Press. It focuses on Burma [sic], and I found this to be the most typical and illustrative sentence:
Several of the commentators evaluating htis book in manuscript noticed that the section of river spirits (nats) and the much larger section describing the eco zones, hydrology of the Ayeyarwady, and the mapping of major human interventions represent something of a rupture from the preceding narrative on rivers.

One section of the book is narrated from the first-person perspective of a river dolphin.
This is an essential book for understanding Scott. And from the preface we read:
The book before you contains more disjunctions than I would have preferred.

naa sa abroad ron akong mama ug papa para mag trabaho–tungod sa ilang mga kautangan. ako ang nabinlan ug responsibilidad diri kay as the eldest, tapos grabe ka humbling ug eye opening ang ka heavy sa gibilin nila sa ako. not only bantayan akong younger sister ug akong lola, but also to face ang mga bills and ang state sa balay na need imaintain, boarding house sad namo na need imanage. naga thesis pa gud ko rn. it sucks...up until now di pa makasend ug kwarta para makatabang akong mama ug papa kay di pa sila settled didto, unya ginagukod kog bills and mga utang NILA dinhi :( ako ang always naga face bising dili ko sanay mag confront ug mga tao. tapos kapos na kaayo mi, wala jud mi ikahatag. kulang2 ang mga bayad sa bills namo. di sad mi ka ask ug help sa lain relatives kay naa siyay utang sa ila, and no matter what, i try my best na musurvive lang sa money na we have rn from our boarding house na business.

weird title, anyways umm lately whenever i drink any amount of water i get a really good feeling, and i drink like the normal amount of water, and pretty regularly as well. it just feels too good and its been sparking some anxiety in me ig cuz its been like this for atleast a week now??
i know drinking water gives you a dopamine rush but again, it just feels way too good

I can cry eyes out and scream my heart out to every lyric to every song. They just hit my heart directly where it hurts good. I’ve never cried to any music before and gosh I’m a crybaby to famous last words, cancer, heck any song with good words and meaning. I can’t wait for this concert, it’ll be tragic in the best way possible.
