An RP sort of akin to inkspell. You’re cleaning out your late grandmothers house and find an old (and magical as you’ll soon discover) book and ring under the floorboards. Where will your adventures take you?
Intro:
The floor board creaks and groans as you dig your fingertips around its wearing edge. Pulling back with a grunt and tossing the board to the side. Peering down into the little hole in the floor now in front of you.
At first glance all you see is dirt and cobwebs. You shiver at the thought of all the things crawling around the house. Cleaning out your late grandmothers house was already proving to be quite strenuous. Not to mention, all the dust and creepy crawlers didn’t do anything to aid the discomfort of it all.
You’d spent all day cleaning what you could and inspecting the house to the best of your ability. You’d call a professional later on, but these floors were so damaged they’d have to be completely replaced.
A small sigh escapes your lips as you let out a huff of air. what is that you think. Squinting and siting a bit more forward as you reach for something that seems to be reflecting some sort of light through the little pouring in through a nearby window. Only a small ray reaches the inside of the first floor board removed but it’s enough for you to see something gold shining through it.
A large, thick book with golden embossing lays wedged under the floorboards and covered in dirt. You inspect it, flipping it over in your hands before opening the front cover. Inside is a short inscription and a bag containing a silver ring with a short phrase carved into it. “Memento Vivere.” remember to live

El 2024 fue cuando empecé el gimnasio. Los primeros 2 meses fueron geniales; llegaba al fallo, me cansaba y, cuando llegaba a casa, me tiraba en la cama y esa sensación fue épica. Con el tiempo el colegio comenzó y como soy de turno mañana, el horario que me daba mi colegio para el comienzo de clases es 6:40 am, y como ni en pedo me dormía a las 22:00 pm, me dormía a la medianoche (muy grave error y tener esto en cuenta más tarde). Pasaron los meses y seguía entrenando hasta el fallo. Iban pasando los meses y seguía entrenando al fallo, pero copiaba las rutinas de gente muy avanzada, hacía muchos ejercicios y muchas series, todas al fallo. Como me salían TikToks de que era muy difícil llegar al fallo, siempre iba a él y pensaba que no siempre llegaba al fallo. Fue a mitad de año cuando todo esto me comenzó a cobrar factura. Mi cuerpo no soportaba tal nivel de fatiga y mis defensas bajaban. Me enfermaba de fiebre prácticamente cuando me estancaba. Esto pasó 3 o 4 veces hasta que me desmotivé completamente y decidí dejar el gimnasio por 2 semanas, que es lo que duran mis vacaciones de invierno. En ese entonces no sabía lo que era sobreentrenar, tampoco sabía cómo descansar ya que, sumado a mi desmotivación, comía muy poco y dormía tarde y muy poco. Volví al gym sabiendo que hacía mucho volumen. Decidí bajar la intensidad menos series, menos ejercicios y progresé bastante. Así llegamos hasta hoy, que aunque meto semanas de descarga, tengo muchos mocos cuando me despierto, se me cae el pelo, tengo caspa y, por lo que vi y le pregunté a ChatGPT, todo esto apunta a un sobreentrenamiento. Además me resulta muy difícil no hacer algún tipo de actividad que no requiera esfuerzo; me siento vacío. Hace 2 semanas intenté incorporar las dominadas. Como lograba hacer muy pocas, metía muchas series a pocas repeticiones. Cuando llegué a 4 reps, hice 5 series; el día después me desperté con muchos mocos y sentía como si estuviera con fiebre pero mucho mas leve. Ahí me desmotive mucho y metí 2 semanas sin hacer nada de actividad demandante fisicamente, intenté volver a mi rutina de manera bruzca como antes, grave error, ya que volvi a tener los mismos mocos que antes. ¿debo meter un mes de descanso sin nada de entrenamiento? ¿dormir 6 horas en dias de colegio convinados con el gimnasio contribuyó a mi sobreentrenamiento? (yo creo que sí) ¿si es que tengo que meter un mes sin actividad física que puedo hacer para entretenerme? ¿hay algún medicamento que me sirva para acelerar este proceso?

Good morning yall. So I have an update of sorts for the post I made yesterday.
I spent then night thinking and analysing and planning. I will be honest with you guys, when I went to sleep last night in my mind I was like haaaa, this is just a phase. I am religious and I believe in God giving us the strength to make decisions that are difficult. I prayed and asked him to reveal to me what the next best step was. And when I woke up this morning, yeah I realised I was done with this shit. I’m done with the back and forth, being taken for granted. Calls are a bare minimum. I shouldn’t have to beg for the bare minimum 🤦♀️.
A Redditor dmed me yesterday and told me “look, this man can tell that you’re obsessed with him. He can feel that you can’t live without him, so he can do whatever he wants. You need to take your power back.” And I realised you know what? Thank you, anonymous, because you’re right. It’s soooo easy to take your partner for granted.
So I have since decided that I am done. One thing about me, once I have decided on something I can be as stubborn as a mule. So I have decided that I am done with him. I will not sit and wait for him to come back, because I know he probably will try to, as always. I will not give him that room to play with my heart. I am a treasure and I ain’t gonna let no bum ass nigga break up with me whenever it feels convenient for him. He has fumbled the bag. I realised it isn’t my job to help him grow or change his character or heal his trauma. It isn’t my job to build him and help him achieve success, that’s on him. And well if he doesn’t want me, if he thinks I don’t “understand him” all because I wanted a bit of his time then that’s fine. Blocked. Good riddance, my sweet king.

I have an upcoming interview for a role at a university doing tech transfer work and I am wondering if anyone has any tips for me?
I am a recent JD grad thats retaking the feb bar and my undergrad BA was not in the sciences. The role is an entry level role in tech transfer based on the description. My previous legal internship experience has dealt exclusively with trademark and copyright prosecution with some experience in drafting agreements/contracts. I do not have any formal patent experience other than intro courses at my law school, but I am excited at the opportunity to work with patents at least in the licensing aspect.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this.
I (25F, new grad PA) have been in a happy relationship with my boyfriend (27M, M4) for over two years. We live about 40 minutes apart (but plan to move in together in about a month, duration depends on where he matches), and he has finished interviews and is pondering his rank list. While he says he’d be happy at his current institution, he might rank it 2nd or 3rd in favor of some more prestigious programs that are 6 hours away by car with expensive ($400+ both ways) flights with minimum 1 lay over. I want him to rank it 1st so we can avoid long distance, especially since moving with him isn't an option for at least 3 years due to my family and scholarship obligations.
I understand his perspective and that training at a top program would benefit his career. He has every right to rank the programs how he sees fit, and we know the match process is ultimately out of our control. However, it hurts that he might willingly choose a program far away, potentially putting our future at risk. Neither of us has experienced long distance before, and I’m unsure how it would impact our relationship. We've talked about building a future and growing old together, but the idea of being separated for years concerns me. While I want to be supportive of his career goals and don’t want to create resentment, I'm afraid that being apart for so long could create emotional distance and strain what we have. I’ve brought this up to him, but he isn’t very reassuring since he logically doesn’t want to say we will work out 100% due to so much being unknown.
I don't care how he ranks the other programs, just his current institution. If he ranks it 1st but still gets placed elsewhere, I'd feel better knowing he tried.
TLDR: My boyfriend may rank a residency program 6 hours away #1, but I want him to stay local to avoid long distance. While I understand his career goals, I worry long-distance could strain our relationship, and I can’t move for 3 years due to family and scholarship obligations. I’d feel better if he ranked his current institution 1st, even if he ultimately ends up elsewhere.

The community seems to unanimously support Catra and Adora becoming a couple, but isn't Catra generally just... a terrible, horrible person? Sure, she's hot, but does she have a single positive personality trait? She hurts her friends, betrays her allies, callously enjoys inflicting suffering on innocent people (in person or at a distance), and her primary motivation is hatred and spite, to the point where she's willing to kill literally everyone in existence out of pettiness and frustration because she can't get her crush to be an evil dictator with her.
I know that animation today is starved for Sapphic romance and we have to get what we're given, but Adora's infatuation with Catra seems more like a curse than a gift, pulling Adora towards an idealized character that doesn't exist, while the real person is one of the most evil people on the planet. When Catra and Adora di interact, Catra is nothing short of abusive. And yet people desperately want to see them be a couple.
I feel like there's some huge chunk of information I'm missing, some key to what makes them both a proper pair for each other. Or is it just the friends to enemies to lovers drama and the unrequited love that pulls people in, regardless of how sick the lover is? Am I missing something?
