I am a software engineering student, and I have just completed the 1st semester of university. And now I have one month free. what should I do.
I already know basics of c programming, and also a bit of Java programming, what should I do now. I'll be taking DSA in my next to next semester. I'll also be learning fundamentals of computer systems during my next term. Should I learn something which will come in upcoming semesters or should I learn something which won't be taught?
I was planning to read books about c programming, or should I do something else?
Your advice will be greatly appreciated, cuz, I can't seem to figure what would be the best use of my time, and I end up wasting my time than doing anything productive. Thank you

2025.01.26 07:09 Zakic Looking for advice.. windows10>Windows11
I'm having to upgrade my fathers desktop hardware. i5-2500 to i7-8700k nvidia 1050>1080ti. Specs really are not that important. I had the computer as an extra and his is getting a bit slow. Anyways hes over 80 and has memory issues and is kinda pre Alzheimer's. And windows 10 is getting to be hard enough. and moving to windows 11 is really daunting idea for him (and me having to play tech support at least twice a week now) some things I can deal with like the "simplified" right click menu.. on reg edit later and its basically back. but like start menu and things like that is having issues with wrapping his head around.. he has a laptop with windows 11 on it and is struggling pretty bad with that. Basically if its not loading the same game hes always plays he cant really do much on the laptop. And this windows 10 support ending later this year. i'm kinda stuck on what to do. I mean windows 10 will still "work" but no security updates and such is not really something i'm looking forward to dealing with.
So any advice on what to do. weather making due with windows 10 or finding some way to "dumb down" windows 11 or what ever.. i know where are things that can bring back the windows 10 start menu back to windows 11, but when there is a update it can cause looping crashes of explorer and such.. i REALLY dont wanna have to trouble shoot that over the phone while i'm at work

I've been working in my dream company now and my manager asked me to why not try taking the CPALE boards again. I'm scared i will fail again as i have failed my first try (very sick during exams). Reviewed again pero di natuloy exams plus got into my dream company nga. (2020-2021) But sabi nya, the worst that can happen is - NOTHING. Stay put lang ako sa job ko which is i am happy naman. This is just for development/future purposes lang.

Hello! I'm working on an inventory system that utilizes an array. Currently, I have this to populate a simple inventory, and it works great! But now I want to add the ability to have stacks of items, i.e. 2 or more of the same item in a slot. I think the best way to do this would be to change that inventory array into a 2d array, where [0,0] represents the item id for slot 0, [0,1] represents the quantity of that item, and so on. Would this approach work? And how do I go about creating/using a 2D array? (the game maker documentation I could find wasn't very helpful) Any other advice/input? Thanks!
The code below is what I'm using to initialize and populate the inventory, if that helps.

He left one day, just like that. After a year. A lot promises that we'd talk things through. A lot of telling me we were okay.
A few days before, he said he'd have time. And when I asked if we could talk, he just said sorry and that he was busy.
And then nothing.
It's been 3 months and I haven't heard from him. There was no heads up, no fight.

No se si son mas de una pelicula pero las vi cuando niña y tengo una mezcla en mi cabeza.
Los recuerdos que tengo son de que a un vampiro lo amarran a una luz gigante y como que lo disecan, luego una muchacha esta examinando el cuerpo y cuando le pasa los dedos por los dientes se le clava un colmillo y mientras avanza la peli la muchacha se le ponen las venas negras y se le marcan. El otro recuerdo que me viene a la cabeza es de un vampiro que era rubio casi platinado, blanco y palido. Lo tenian atado en un laboratorio sin darle nada de sangre y uno de los que lo estudia estaba en silla de ruedas y el vampiro lo intenta a traer para que caiga por las escaleras y el poder beber su sangre.
La otra no se si es la misma, va de un grupo de amigos entran un cuerpo (no se si era un vampiro) en una bañera con san_grē y el vampiro revive y tira a uno de ellos por la ventana.
De niña amaba las peliculas de vampiros pero estas las pasaban en tv nacional asi que no tenia acceso a los nombres.

About to purchase a home with sunpower panels which is factored into purchase price. I'm curious, what is the possibility that all sunpower panels cease to work because of the bankruptcy? Or is bankruptcy irrelevant and the panels are simply hardware connected to edison's grid?
My uneducated mind wonders if sunpower were to cease operations completely, does that mean the solar production with the panels would no longer be able to communicate it the power grid?
Also, I see a lot of anger at Sunpower (valid), but is this section bias from the internet and do most Sunpower panels work well and I'm just seeing the comments of a minority of folks who are having issues?
