Hi y’all I am desperate for some advice on how insurance works/how to best care for myself as a t1 diabetic woman. I was diagnosed at 23, now 29, and I started a job last summer that pays the most I’ve ever made (60,000 per year before taxes). Before I was on Medicaid. My insurance starting January 2025 (ambetter fidelis bronze) has a premium of $228 a month. Do I have to pay full price for my insulin and medical appts until my deductible is met? ($3,800) I went to my local pharmacy in Brooklyn today and was able to pickup my levothyroxine but was told my insulin (novalin/novalog Kwikpen) was denied.
The pharmacist told me to call my insurance but I only have about 3 days left of my fast-acting insulin and I’m getting scared I’ll have to ration or go without it. My endocrinologist prescribed me a 90 days supply which may be the problem, would a 30 day prescription be covered? We discussed an omnipod prescription but my insurance also wants to charge me $566 for the initial receiver and an additional $566 per month of pods. Not including a dexcom. I’m using an over-the-counter testing kit atm. Am I missing something? Seriously please any advice I feel hopeless/clueless/ how do any of us navigate this fucked up system so we can get the medication/care we need.

 | Hey y’all! I’ve had my boy for about two weeks now. I was mid cycling a tank (about two weeks into the process) when my friend gave him to me as an “early birthday present” so had to emergency move dude in ahead of schedule. I’ve had him for just under two weeks now. I’m concerned about the edges of his fins fraying rapidly over the last few days and I haven’t witnessed any nipping behavior. No fake plants or decor, only rock, driftwood, and some live plants. He’s got two snail friends but no other tank mates. I’ve been doing increased small water changes and just ordered some stress guard. Can anyone help me identify if this is fin nipping or fin rot and if so what to do? I’m mega on edge since I had to home the little guy a few weeks before I was expecting to acquire a betta so my anxiety levels are through the roof right now. My friend and I recently started to share screens while playing some games from the Souls franchise. I love taking screenshots but unfortunately his shared screen shows up in my shots.
I could just stop picture in picture mode and take the screenshot but it's a bit of a hassle to keep switching back and forth.
Oddly enough whenever my buddy takes a screenshot, my screen doesn't show up in his photos.
We can't figure out what setting is causing this to happen to only my console. We are both playing on the PS5.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
