This is my first reddit ever and im typing this in the middle of the night so take that into consideration please.For background I(20f) still live at home but I really spend most night away at long-term boyfriends(20m) house.I cannot stand sleeping at home I share a room with two of my 4 sibling my younger sister 18 and my problem is my older sister 25.I feel like a really bad person for feeling this way but to start my older sister(25) has dealt with mentally health n ik that shes been on multiple medications for years now and that isnt what my problem with her is its the fact that me and my younger sister have had to live through and in a depression room for years on and off after she comes back from moving out.Idk if its the meds or her illness but i just feel like shes very inconsiderate to others around her well being uk.She doesnt clean after herself n she sleeps more than shes awake.My family has a history of mental health issues so ik this isnt to being taken lightly ofc but its been YEARSSS of this on and off since 2020.I come back with my room in disarray Im talking not just dirty clothes on the floor literal rotten food,not even being able to walk on the floor w/o tripping on something,her up having episode at 5am,her coming home middle of the night n just leaving the lights on while we are trying to sleep,and just sooooooooo much more i cant even put it all to words.And the worst part is i used to be so close to her before she started struggling mentally and i hold my tongue soo much because ik shes sick no healthy person will sleep 3 days straight uk but i cant help but feel alot of resentment from my sister but also my parents bc it should’ve never gotten like this idk why i haven’t spoken up I cant take it much longer.And tbh im 20 i feel grown enough to live outside of my family home but honestly being in school i only work a part time job n im more than sure my bf would let me move in within a heartbeat but he has roommates n it lowkey feels wrong to kick someone else out to make more room for me especially when i dont make enough to support rent n such.idk ig advice is needed but i rlly just want to hear thoughts and to just let it all out no one except my family n boyfriend know how bad it is.

My wife (30 F) and I (31 F) have known each other since middle school, started dating in high school, and we’ve been married for four years. We are unbelievably happy and our relationship is perfect (at least to me and hopefully to her as well). The only problem is that neither of us are able to have kids biologically because of medical issues. We were devastated when we found this out a year ago and weren’t sure what to do. Nothing changed for our relationship but it was obvious we were both very distraught about it. However, our lives changed in the best way possible shortly after. We looked up other options and decided surrogacy was the choice we wanted to make. After going through the process, a woman chose us and fast forward, our children (twins) are due in a few days. Luckily, they are healthy and both my wife and I know that we will cherish them and raise them in a loving home. The only problem is my in-laws. Her parents, who we will call Nancy and Mark, are incredibly controlling, homophobic, narcissistic, and overall bad people. They have never been supportive of my wife and her sexuality and resent me. Both her and I recognize how they feel about our relationship and don’t interact with them unless necessary. When we found out we were having a child, it was like Nancy and Mark flipped a switch. They suddenly became supportive and loving and acted as if they didn’t abandon and shame my wife for ages. We later realized it was likely because my wife is their only child and this would probably be their only “chance” at having a grandchild. Last week was the icing on top of the rollercoaster the last year has been. One of our babies, a girl, will be named after our surrogate, who we will call Lily. With my son, we have been considering multiple names, all surrounding my late father. My wife has been supportive of this idea. My dad, Andrew, passed a year ago from cancer. It was difficult for me; especially since he was my only parent and he raised me my whole life. My dad was unbelievably supportive of our relationship; he was even the best man at our wedding. Somehow my in-laws found out we were naming our son after him. They came to our home unannounced and immediately ridiculed me over naming our son after my late father. They said some very disrespectful things about my dad and demanded we name our son after them and to (in their words) “forget the idea of naming someone after a corpse.” My wife was tired of their behavior and threatened to call the cops if they didn’t leave. Over the last week, Nancy and Mark have been pestering my wife and I about this issue and this afternoon was my breaking point. They showed up when my wife and I were having lunch and started yelling at me about this situation. I lost my shit and said some things that I’d rather not repeat. Other members of my wife’s family are calling me a jerk. Am I the asshole here?

2025.01.26 07:07 AyyKa Fire Stick randomly turned itself on showing that another device connected, then opened a random YouTube video. What happened here?
Long story short, we witnessed our Fire Stick TV randomly turn on along with the TV just before bedtime even though both of them were shut off for the night. It also showed "RAVOS TV" connected or something similar in the top right corner, then an Indian language YouTube video randomly played. Freaking the hell out and fearing the worst, we immediately closed it. I tried digging around but it doesn't seem like anything else was going on afterwards. It was definitely not an accidental mirror cast as we saw the YouTube app natively open clearly and open the random video. Nothing happened afterwards and we just closed it again for the night.
For the record, we don't have any account signed in on the YouTube app at the moment, so I couldn't really find anything useful there, and in the connected devices section, nothing showed at all. I also don't have any record or notification of any device trying to connect to the Fire Stick at all, on the Amazon account page or associated email. So I doubt it could have been a hack. My best guess at this point would be some feature being randomly activated by another household, but I'm just not sure. I found another Reddit thread very similar to this situation but no answer was given at all.

The Fire Stick TV is also brand new and we purchased it last year. This is the first time this issue happens to us.
