Was feeling bored so I decided to go back to the oldest crosswords in the app, starting November 1993. I was a little nervous about difficulty and that I would lose my 100% run, but figured why not.
I am only two weeks in, and while there have certainly been some dated clues and language at times, overall the difficulty hasn’t been scary. And in fact I just did a couple quick (for me) Friday and Saturdays.
Has anyone else entered the way back machine? I am curious to compare notes. I’m also wondering if this era simply didn’t adhere to the Mon - Sat difficulty gradient we assume today.

I think 95% of the plays run by the CPU are in no huddle in my dynasty. It doesn’t even make sense because they’ll check into some completely different formation and have the completely incorrect personnel and try to run some I-form run with WRs at FB and TE lol.
It just totally throws the time of possession out of wack, and allows for no room for adjustments or subs.
It’s unfortunate because I’m sure all of these lovely, passionate devs want to fix it, they’re just mentally incapable of fixing their game :/
