I have a job on my resume that I was at for a very short period of time, then followed by a months long employment gap that I suspect is the reason I am receiving no interviews. The reason for this was that I was injured at work and required surgery and time to recover (+ a new job hunt). Is it acceptable to put the reason for this directly on my resume? I feel that without this I am not being given a chance, and my resume just gets binned instantly. But is this considered unprofessional, or in itself a red flag? I am at the end of my rope. I have multiple references (supervisors!) ready to give me glowing reviews, but I can't even get an interview.

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting on Reddit, and I really need some advice regarding my current situation.
Around three months ago (late October), I visited a dentist with good reviews on Google Maps for a routine checkup. She mentioned that I had some mild cavities and suggested fillings. This was my first time ever getting fillings, and I ended up having four teeth filled.
After the procedure, teeth #2 and #31 became extremely sensitive to cold. Even brushing my teeth with tap water caused sharp pain. I went back to the dentist, and she adjusted the fillings, but the sensitivity didn’t improve. She then suggested it could be due to a hairline fracture and advised me to be patient.
However, after two months of observation, the sensitivity remained almost unchanged. The dentist then referred me to an endodontist. After testing, the endodontist diagnosed me with pulpitis. I was told I have two options:
- Wait and see if the pulpitis resolves on its own.
- Proceed with root canal treatment.
I’m feeling really frustrated and desperate for advice. Are there any other options or treatments that could help me avoid a root canal? I truly don’t want to lose the vitality of my teeth. Any insights or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.

My GPU is failing so I've got a new one on the way. I'm using this as an excuse to upgrade my PC.
I'm using a lot of my existing parts but I'll be getting a new case, GPU, Power Supply, and CPU Cooler. I wanted to see if anyone has feedback for my planned build, particularly the motherboard. This will be the second time I'm building a PC so I'm still learning, and I'm not sure if I even need to upgrade the motherboard.
I also see PC Part Picker is warning me that I'll need another bay for my 3rd SSD, but I've seen some people mount 2 SSDs per bay in build videos for this case, so I think it will be OK?

New to this subreddit. Full disclosure, trying to understand this for my spouse who is active duty military and since he’s either deployed or in a training most of time, here I am. He’s been making qualifying payments since he joined the military 10+ years ago, in April/ May while he was deployed he got talked into switching to SAVE, he was at 116 payments when his loans were placed into forbearance and his last payment was in May. He would have hit 120 in September but SAVE.
He has been diligent about completing employment verification forms, though the last one took five months to process as opposed to the promised three to five weeks (submitted in late August, was approved Friday). He has one last employment verification form to submit for the month of September.
We would like to pay off the last four months and be done, but our understanding from Mohela/fsa is that we cannot because he is in SAVE. Is there any other option? I have read about buybacks, I have also seen folks switching to other loans and being able to pay.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello, so I’ve been trying to manifest for a while. I don’t technically have a specific person I’ve just been trying to manifest love if that makes sense. I see everyone I know finding their person. the one that fits them and they’re like perfect for each other and they love each other so much they could never think of leaving each other. and I’ve been trying to manifest that type of love for a while but it hasn’t been working. I’ve tried so many techniques and guided meditations but nothing is working. I think it’s because of doubt and I need advice on how to control that doubt. I overthink a lot about most things. I’m a huge overthinker. Everytime I try to affirm I contradict myself and I haven’t really figured out how to control those thoughts and just focus on the affirmations. Does anyone have any advice how to stop those negative thoughts or just how to successfully manifest while having those thoughts?
