I am a week sober and currently going to a tech school for 9 months and I’m scared of how it could affect my learning, practice, and overall studies. Has anyone one got or has had a payg insurance policy? Sounds interesting just looking for peoples experience. Obviously looking to save money.
My renewal is due soon, don’t have a price yet but can only assume it’s just as expensive as last year.
From what I understand the insurance give you an obd2 device to record the miles and that’s what you are charged. Also a standing monthly fee for when the car is parked under fully comp policy.
Looking at my last MOT history I’ve only done 6.5k miles in the last year, I’ve cut my annual mileage in half since 23-24. I’m in a city & work is 3 ish miles away (I do walk, weather dependent) & I don’t go out driving like what I used to.

Former 5 year daily vaper, 22 days clean!
My biggest encouragement to keep going is how good I feel running. I’ve played soccer all my life, but didn’t realize how much vaping was holding me back on the field. Literally one week after quitting I noticed SUCH a boost in my endurance and sprinting. I feel 150% stronger and don’t need a sub anymore.
And when I’m tired I’m not feeling like I’m gonna collapse tired. Like a toxic ill inside my body is gone (it is).
Anyways, this is huge reason for the other athletes out there. Kinda obvious but I’m fucking estatic on how big a difference it makes pretty immediately.
I’m gonna go time my mile and compare 😂
Stay strong friends & also if you’re thinking about quitting… try it. You might feel like Superwoman.

2025.01.26 07:40 MiningToSaveTheWorld So far I'm leaning towards Combined Arms or Siege Detachment over Hammer of the Emperor for Tank/armoured fist spam list. Thoughts?
I've been looking over the Tank detachment and am not super into the rules. Auto advance 6 with only access to advance and shoot as a stratagem seems pretty meh to me. Main thing that seems great is the FnP enhancement for Dorn commander. Moving through terrain isn't that big for me on my terrain meta.
But, I think mass movement debuff/-hit/cancel cover or conditional lethal hits sounds stronger to me even if you lose most support for tanks. Siege in particular is almost fully supporting regiment only but biggest problem for Tank gun line for me is getting run over by mass combat lists, so the movement debuff rule might be strong enough alone. Though someone like Morty would basically take away my detachment rule minus the cover removal.
I'm probably going to run Triple Dorn commander with 6 Chim/Taurox with Krieg blobs and obligatory 1 or 2 Basilisk as my core then remainder based on detachment.
Is there a fourth Detachment in consideration for this type of list?
