Hey guys, i just recently got a Lenovo HR650X and after playing around with it for a bit its dawned on me that the wife approval factor is going down fast with how noisy it is just running ubuntu…
So im wondering if theres any tips or hacks that you guys know of to lower the noise? Is there some sort of padding i can put in the room or something i can do to the server?

So i got them recently, everythings good, but i've noticed that even though i put the settings for touch that f.e if i tap twice that it skips. But most of the times it doesn't even do anything, and i have to tap way harder for it to sense my touch, and i wanted to ask, is it rly that "bad" or is it maybe a defect? That would suck, cause i got so happy when they finally arrived, and no one ever said anything bad as in feedbacks. =[

2025.01.26 07:31 iknowshityoudont Found out last night that my (40m) partner (41f) cheated. Spiraling. We have a 6 year old.
She met up with an old acquaintance (former fwb) and they began an affair. Devastated and humiliated. Found out because I came across DMs she copied and pasted in the notes app and forgot to delete. Confronted her. She maintains they „only kissed“. Wants to work it out, blames me though „for not meeting her physical and emotional needs“. True, we rarely had sex. Partly my fault.
We have a 6 year old daughter and a dog. Been though some tough times but always stuck it out.
Now 14 years gone just like that. It’s morning now and I haven’t slept since. Daughter is lying next to me watching cartoons. Partner is in guest bedroom.
Rationally, I know exactly what to do. Emotionally, I am an absolute wreck.
Just needed to vent

2025.01.26 07:31 Chaos_TWOM Cable Extension for GPU is so confusing 12VHPWR
I want to get myself some extensions from AsiaHorse to make my future build a bit cleaner. The only problem is i am super confused as to which cables to get. I have not decided on which GPU i want to get, either the 4070ti or the 5070 once it releases.
I saw that on the nvidia website it says they both use the "2x PCIe 8-pin cables (adapter in box) OR 300 W or greater PCIe Gen 5 cable" but i also saw that people are saying you should get the 12vhpwr ones. Can anyone be kind enough to comment some links of their recommendations as to which bundle of extensions i could use for the build please? Ideally id want the cpu, gpu and psu extensions. 2025.01.26 07:31 Affectionate-Web6793 a girl in school is giving me mixed signals
I met a girl in my drama class. She was outgoing and really friendly/funny. Fast forward like 4 weeks we start working on our final play for drama class and at this point I can tell she was going out of her way to talk to me. I know this will sound sad but i was happy and shocked at the fact she was even having interactions with me because i don't have interactions with girls a lot so i was confused and still am. Anyways fast forward to the night of our play We were the first play to go up; there were other plays after us so that meant we could go into the audience and watch all the other plays which lasted until 8. So while me and her sat down to watch the other plays she started to make moves on me and obviously i'm going to entertain it. Fast forward to the end of the night it's around 7:50 at this point she realizes that she had left her coat up on stage and asks me to come with her and go get it. I agree and we make our way down the stage. By the time we get there and find her coat but the night has ended and the people in the crowd start to leave so we go up to the second floor to get my bags and stuff when she tells me “just wanted to let you know i'm working something out with somebody else right now” in my mind i'm thinking “oh so she means she's breaking up with somebody” no this is not the case at all. turns out she is talking to another guy at the same time she is talking to me. At the same time I realize this I start hearing rumors about her and they're really concerning which makes me feel weird about the situation. She also is giving me mixed signals like she will leave me on delivery for 15+ hours at a time but also asks me to hang out with her all the time and she won't respond to me at all at some points but also is the one making all the moves it's just really confusing. But she is one of the only girls that have ever gave me attention and she's one of the funniest people i have ever met so i don't want to just end what we have… I just don't know what to do?
