2025.01.27 04:24 TipoCX0 Best way to move a rigidBody2d rope
My friend and I are trying to make a game with a hook like in speedrunners or sanabi. We thought to make the chain that connects a pinjoint to the ceiling and another pinjoint to the player. This chain will be made of rigidBodies2d links and to optimize we wanted to keep moving the chain each time the player shot the hook to a new place, but we are having problems moving the rigidbodies that make the chain(looks like they are not supposed to be moved with transform or assigning global_position). I proposed to just create and delete the chain every time it changed palaces, but my friend isn't convinced because of the performance issues that might bring. We are new to godot (my friend has learned some game development in unity but recently moved to godot. I never touched any game engine but i have some experience with programming).
How would you move the chain/rope?

Hi All.
I am looking to update my current home network kit with some Ubiquity gear.
The current setup is TPG provided NBN (Australia) with TPG provided Huawei all in one WiFi / Router (4 eth ports + wan port). We have expanded our ethernet cabling over the last year and have 7 cables coming back to the router. We also have numerous laptops / tablets etc using WiFI.
I have been looking through the Ubiquity ecosystem trying to find the right fit for what I need but I have come to the conclusion that I will need two items to cover off the following.
- WAN connection to the external NBN
- Wifi AP
- 7 Ethernet ports plus WAN port.
- Ubiquity UniFi Dream Router
- Flex 2.5G : USW-Flex-2.5G-8 (Layer 2 only I think, so may not be able to configure VLANs / Routing where necessary) - this will be connected into the UDR. Do I need Layer three capability for this device if I want to create a few different VLANs in our home network ?
We have a CCTV system by Dahua with it’s own NVR / PoE switch. The cameras are on their own network 10.x.x.x and are isolated from the main home network. Remote access capability for viewing footage and remote management is via the local house network and shared out through the ISP so that we can connect via phones when we are out.
We also have 3 Synology devices for various storage reasons. These sit on the normal home network and are not available outside the home network - although that might change if the Ubiquity management tools can provide that functionality.
I’m interested in feedback regarding my plan.

This is mostly because of the KelseyCassidy theory (with her being able to summon ghostly projections of people) + Golden Freddy being able to manipulate minds in some way (The Week Before and FNAF 1 gameplay).
