Spot on my leg started out looking like a small hive on Friday. Didn't bug me at all and I didn't notice anything significant through the night or through the day Saturday. On Saturday afternoon into evening it started to get itchy and it was red, hot and tender to the touch. I drew a circle to monitor it.
Next morning (Sunday), it had spread a bit so I went into urgent care just to be safe. I was seen and the doctor had said it was a bug/spider bite and prescribed some steroid cream to use for 7 days.
It's still continuing to spread and I'm just worried it might be more than a bite. No other symptoms besides redness, hot and tender to the touch. Should I get a second opinion or see how it goes?
First picture was 9pm on Saturday and the second is 24 hours later.

Hello, like it said in the title one of my player want to deal with the hag (he is a half orc wild magic barbarian), he know that the woman in the windmill have magic item with one of his subclasse ability and want to deal for magic item but the rogue of the group stole one of them (a wand of magic missile) and i don t know what to do, what do you thing? Do the hag wi ll deal with the player or be mean and deal curse item or magic scroll that used the spell on the person who use the Scroll? I thought of that, maybe they bought a fireball scroll that go kboum when they use it. I like the idea of the hag being really evil and enjoying suffering but i don t know if they prefer to gain new customer and make more money or try to make the life of the pc miserable even if it mean gaining new ennemi or a least losing customer. What do you think, i already used the night haunting ability of the hag on my player on the previous long rest and they don t know that it is the hag.

I work in an old warehouse where the offices are climate controlled, but our windows suck. I'm trying to find a permanent home for our A1 Mini and the only real space in the office is right by our full wall of single pane drafty windows. Would a pop up enclosure be enough to keep the temperature stable? We're in northern Illinois, so it can get pretty cold.

My husband ordered us curbside pickup while I was on the way home from work. He paid online and I merely went to pick it up. As the guy comes out, I notice he’s holding a ticket book which he then hands me, saying I needed to sign. Hmmm I’ve picked up from there many times and never been given something to sign. Knowing my husband and his dislike for tipping on takeout, I immediately knew that this was an attempt to get a tip after they didn’t get one in the order. I double checked the ticket…yea, the food had been paid for. But they gave me a blank line for gratuity to add and sign for. Like a sucker, I threw in a couple bucks and signed…knowing their little plan had worked. What a joke…a desperate last attempt for a few bucks. Bummed that I fell for it.

2025.01.27 04:01 offbeat_witch How to get cat to use the door of enclosure and not the "window" for entry?
For context, I have one cat who is on a prescription diet and will steal my other cat's food if he has access. I have used the SureFeed microchip feeder for a couple of years, but wanted a change because 1. Thief Cat still got in sometimes 2. There is no timer, so Cat 2 got one "big" meal a day, and whatever was leftover to snack on until the next refill.
So I got a large litter box enclosure to use as a feeding space. Inside is a timed feeder which gives four small meals a day. The cat door part has a microchip cat flap over it so only Cat 2 can use it. I slowly taught her how to use it by leaving it propped open. Then she finally was using it with it closed.
Then she discovered the "window". Now she only enters and exits through it and doesn't use the door at all. She stretches all the way out, squeezes in the gap, and kicks herself in. It's ridiculous.
I tried covering the "window" to encourage her to use the door again, and if I do that she will starve herself in protest. Thankfully Thief Cat is a big boy so he can't get in that way (he can only fit his head)
Should I be concerned that she is going to hurt herself going in this way?? Is there a way to make it easy for her? I don't think the cat flap has ever hurt her in any way, but it does make a sound when it unlocks which may startle her :(
