I’m excited to share that I’ve secured a full-time job, which means I will no longer be available on Upwork. Reflecting on my time there, I see how both the positive and negative experiences have shaped my growth.
### Negative Experiences
One of my biggest challenges was dealing with difficult clients. Despite my reports, one of my worst clients still remains active (https://www.upwork.com/jobs/\~021697044770428493824).
Here are key lessons learned:
- Clients who insist on communicating outside of Upwork (like on Skype) often want to avoid accountability and may disappear if you redirect to the platform.
- Clients hiring multiple freelancers may lack honesty and can ghost you unexpectedly.
### Positive Experiences
Though I didn't earn a fortune, I'm grateful for my new full-time position and fair compensation. Upwork provided opportunities and helped boost my confidence through the Skills Assessment.

My father has been experiencing sudden vertigo for 2-3 seconds over the past month. It doesn’t occur while lying down or sitting but happens randomly. His health condition has worsened. During vertigo episodes, if he uses his left hand to touch his pants, the sensation is mild, but if he uses his right hand, the vertigo becomes more intense and lasts 3-4 seconds.
We have already consulted with medicine and neurology specialists. However, after starting the prescribed neurotology medication, the episodes have increased to 400-500 times daily.
What should I do?
Please Help Me And Pray For My Father.

2025.01.27 04:00 Slow_Tonight_9551 My best friend (18F) cannot sleep and I'm genuinely concerned
She's always had severe insomnia but it's been really bad this time around. It's almost a month now she's been running on less than 2 hours of sleep a night, if that. She's been really agitated, zoning out, not remembering things well, auditory and visual hallucinations. Even her coworkers are concerned. A customer called the store 30 minutes after she ordered and left and asked for her specifically, asked if she had any God or religion she believed in so she could pray for her. She legit looked that fucked up.
We both have ADHD so some of the symptoms are just kind of normal for us but they've been greatly exaggerated with this lack of sleep.
She's tried melatonin, nyquil, zzquil, Benadryl, Hydroxyzine, Trazodone, Clonidine. The only thing that's worked is 1/4 a 2mg pill of Zanaflex her mom finally let her try. But she can't keep taking it since it's her mom's. They don't really believe her which is why this has been so hard. I don't even know what doctor you go to for Zanaflex.
Her doctor really dismissed her and her grandma kept distracting from her telling her symptoms in detail anyway. The medical student legit asked if she's tried counting sheep. She's really desperate, if there's anything that might work she's willing to try it. The main issue is when she tries to sleep her body involuntarily jerks so she can't go unconscious and even if she does it's for short 15-30 minute increments. Usually after a couple weeks she goes unconscious for 16 hours and this time it's not happening.
