I got a ugreen USB bluetooth adapter that plugs into my old car's aux port. It works great, but I have only been able to get it working by using a USB-C 12v charger and then using a USB-C male to USB-A female adapter to power the adapter. For some reason if I use a USB-A car charger and plug the device in directly, it won't turn on. I have tried like 4 different chargers at this point, both high and low power. It works fine if I use my truck's built-in USB-A port or if I use a USB-A port in a wall charger in the house. Why would it not work specifically in the car charger?

I've been taking Nurtec as preventive for about 6-9 months. It never reduced the number of migraines or even the severity, but my pain and abortive drugs worked super fast. However the past month or so I'm not seeing any effect from the Nurtec, like they've stopped working. I still have about a two months supply. I'm thinking about stopping it once my supply has finished.
I don't have insurance that covers it, but my cost here is only $229 (full cost). I don't mind paying that much IF I thought it helps. Is there anything I'm missing?

M 33, smoker & drink (1-2 drinks daily).
5’ 8” 158 lbs
I’ve had a change in bowel movement for the past week (already went to GP who prescribed omeparazole bc I said I burp a lot and sometimes get a burning stomach although those symptoms went away). A few days ago I woke up with a burning in my stomach and felt kinda off, tired, fatigued , slight chills. Those symptoms have since left. The omep actually seemed to have helped my heart burn after dinner, however my bowel movements are still off. I used to always just poop in the morning and maybe sometimes at night. I had diarrhea and then the next day very thin poop and when I wiped it was yellow which I read indicates a bile issue. Day after that the poop wasn’t thin anymore but wasn’t really solid either and again wiped yellow. This am it came out in small pieces , the yellow is a tad less noticeable. Getting blood work this week but starting to get not sure if something is wrong. I notice a slight pressure right below my tailbone, lower back before I have to go which is usually relieved when I do go, although sometimes it lingers. My poop is still brown in color.
Doc said if it’s gastritis, GERD or ulcer the omep would heal, although my only symptom right now is the weird BMs. Has anyone had something related to this? My stomach has felt better but my BM are the main things scaring me because if you do a dreaded google search, you all know what comes up.

Hello! So for some background information, I'm in chemical engineering and I generally know how to study for most classes. Most of my classes are not necessarily memorization but problem solving, and I found what works best for me is "practice till you puke". I am taking a sociology course this semester and generally I don't know of much practice I can do. I have tried rewriting notes but that hasn't ever really worked for me. Does anyone have any tips to help me? One of my friends suggested uploading notes to chatGPT and having it write quizzes for me, and I think that would help but if anyone had any tips that'd be greatly appreciated! :)
By the way, the first midterm is more than a week away, and I'd like to get started sometime this week.

i’ve been doing cocaine on and off for awhile now and i typically go to the same guy but this time i went to somebody else and got a gram and a half but it looked like a lot more than what i’d typically do and before this event i didn’t do it for so long but just had an urge and i finished it all in about a day and a half and had awful abdominal pain in my right side and upper back pain it persisted for awhile it also made me constipated and just messed up my body so badly and it’s been about a little more than a month since this bender and i’ll still sometimes have back pain it’s given me awful anxiety and i’ve done so many different tests thinking it was other things but my doctor told me with substance abuse it takes awhile for those lingering effects to clear from your system and i’m wondering if anyone else experienced this it’s just made me depressed and ashamed and i can’t go to my family with this because my parents are drug addicts and i live with my grandparents who would kick me out if they knew :(

Why won't cat's go in the bathtub, kitchen, or the bathrom when they need to throw up? 1. if they threw up on the kitchen floor, you just get a paper towel to pick up gunk and mop the floor which will take you 2 - 3 minutes. 2. If they threw up in the bathtub, you get a paper towel to pick up the gunk, rinse the bathtub with the shower head, and spray ilthe bath tub with bleach which would take you 5 - 10 minutes But no. They always have to throw up on the carpet which will take you 20 - 30 minutes to clean. 🙄

Now, let's pretend due to Deepmind. SPY takes a 40% nosedive overnight, and VXUS spikes 80% higher.
SCENARIO 1 - 80% SPY, 20% VXUS
Today your portfolio would be:
SPY - $265.3k
VXUS - $44.8k
TOTAL = $310.1k
SCENARIO 2 - 100% SPY
Today your portfolio would be:
SPY - $331.6k
TOTAL = $331.6k
So based on what I'm seeing; if you went 100% SPY in 2010, you would have a 553% return vs 467%.
If the US market plummeted 40% tomorrow and international holdings went up 80%, if you went 100% SPY your return would STILL be higher than if you had diversified into VXUS.
So for those of you who buy VXUS because it's a hedge; why? In a real scenario such a downward move by SPY and upward move by VXUS will never happen, so where's the rationale in using it as a hedge?

Hello and thank you in advance for your help. To keep things short, my mom's laptop was slow and we wanted to speed it up, it ran on an HDD drive so I suggested buying a new SSD (samsung 870 evo) and I'd duplicate or mirror her files from old to new through my PC. I took her laptop's HDD out and I plugged it into my PC using a sata to usb external cable, it didnt show up. showed up in disk management as offline/innitialize. I did that, and then it asked to allocate space, so then I stopped. Now I though we lost everything on it, I tried connecting it to the laptop again but now the laptop doesnt see a drive either. I dont know what I did wrong. I put it back in my PC but using internal SATA cable and power supply, and I used easeUS to recover and it saw the stuff, but app crashed on me. what should myt next action be? recover again or is there some way to make the laptop or PC see it with whats on it without deleting things.

For the sake of the story I'd love it if I could be anonymous so my name for this story will be Nora and my ex Alex. I, Nora (21 F) and Alex (22 M) had a relationship for only two months. At the early stages of our relationship Alex mentioned that he had a girl bestie named Nancy. He approached me for months in prior but I was not interested in having a relationship with him coz I was too busy for anything at that time since I was focusing more on my studies. Finally, after months of approaching me I gave it a shot. He told me about Nancy and he did say that he had a crush on her ever since he met her but she wasn't interested so he gave up and instead were friends with her. I was dumb enough to still stay with him after knowing that coz it was the biggest red flag of all. And even his so called girl bestie actually befriended me and she said she was into girls and not guys as a matter of fact she wanted to ask me out in the first place but since I wasn't she gave up eventually. She was usually a touchy person which I didn't really like considering she was into girls.
I kept my distance from her but still talked to her as friends. Alex on the other hand was an amazing guy or so I thought. He gave me flowers on the first date and I actually thought he loved me. Eventually as time passed, we both got busy in studies and events since we both studied hospitality and tourism. Eventually, I'd see him hang out with Nancy more often and I didn't think much of it coz they were in the same batch. I trusted him more than anything. He was so insisting about everything and whenever I asked him if there was something between them he would start guilt tripping me. So I stopped asking anything. But not long after everyone else started noticing that they were too close to be friends.
And so as you can guess he cheated on me with her. It was not only once but many more times and I got news about it from everyone else who said that he wasn't a good match for me. He dumped me saying that I wasn't the girlfriend that he always wanted and he was always attracted more to Nancy.
I got back to being single again and living my life after a few depressing episodes. They started dating and were more lovey dovey whenever I was around. Ngl it was awkward as hell. I didn't expect Alex to be cheating on Nancy since he said she was his dream girl but after them dating for at least 3 weeks I heard from my friends that he was cheating on her as well. I was still at the verge of getting revenge so yes I took the opportunity. I collected all evidence and it was nothing hard for me coz most of the girls that I hung out with were total gossips and I even got the proof of him cheating as well.
It was Nancy's birthday and I was invited to her party. She was clingy with Alex and he pretended to be sooo in love with her. I was gagging at that point but I knew what I was going to do. So, right before she cut her cake I sent all the proof of Alex with other girls to the group that only the batch mates had made including them. Everyone saw it and it was sooo worth to see the look on her face. Nancy started screaming at Alex and the party was a chaos it ended even before cutting the cake and we all were sent home. The gossip about Nancy and Alex spread like wildfire. I didn't really see much of Alex or Nancy anymore at college and I didn't really mind. I only wanted to have revenge but come to think of it even Nancy was wronged. I do feel a bit guilty for doing that but the revenge was worth it.
And now after my studies I am working in a hotel with a good salary as a front office manager and in a relationship with a really good man who treats me well and goes out of his way to make me happy.

As the title says, I'm looking to make my first work bench tomorrow and I'm trying to get a design finalized before I go buy supplies. This will be my second project after building a ramp for my shed. For the size I'm going with 30x72 using 4x4s for the legs and 2x4 bracing for the top and sides. I plan to add bracing to the legs, but wanted to leave the front open to be able to roll a tool box or a stool under there. Most designs I've seen have a second shelf with bracing all the way round.
