Hello everyone, I've recently just started making perfume (its been about 2 weeks), and I have already made a formula I am very satisfied with. Because of this, I was maybe a little confused because I have heard many people say it took them years of experience to get a good formula, and for me it only took a week or two. Maybe there is something wrong with my nose in terms of what smells good and bad (which I know is subjective) or maybe if my nose isn't trained properly but I do take breaks to reset my olifactive system.
Sorry if its a dumb question, just was wondering

Hi all, have just moved to Australia in January and am flabbergasted by the heat. While I’m here I’ve been using creams (Curel moisture balm and more recently, Hamilton Urederm) but I think they are way too heavy for summer, causing me to sweat and itch especially at night. Can anyone recommend light lotions to take care of my eczema during the Australian summer?

Last month I came across a post here about a gardening kit that comes with a bunch of uncommon seeds and a book with recipes for herbal remedies that can be made from the plants. I thought it'd make a cool addition to my garden this year and the fact that it's made by Nicole who was on season 2 and 4 of the show Alone sold me even further because I love that show.
I can't find the original post but I want to thank them for sharing and tell anyone who was on the fence to go for it. I've planted everything so I'll share updates and photos of my garden as it grows in the comments of this post. The book written by Nicole goes over everything you can make with the plants from ointments and teas all the way to essential oils and infusions. These plants are not something you'd find in a normal store so they make for a unique addition to your garden.

This is gonna sound silly. But due to trauma, I can dissociate like a master. I can sit in the same position, in the dark, for hours, thinking of absolutely nothing. I don't even process what I see, I just ...exist. It's not traumatic now that I live in a safe home. I'd like to meditate but admittedly, it kinda sounds like Dissociation to me. Can someone help explain what you do differently that makes it meditation? Thank you!

Hi, I just received access to a custodial account with 9,000 invested in VTI and PepsiCo. I have about 500 dollars sitting in cash in the account and would like to invest it.
Would putting the cash into a dividend stock have any issues if I have an advisor(unsure if I do or don’t)? The account says Alliance Brokerage and I don’t want to make any changes if I’m not allowed to.

 | I got my CarPlay head unit all wired up except for the speed sensor wire. Crutchfield says it should be a Green/red wire at the 24 pin connector under the driver side dash, I’m just not sure which connector that is. If anyone can shed some light that’d be great. Everything is working except the head unit won’t let me into the settings which I assume is locked out due to the speed sensor wire not being connected. 2025.01.27 04:51 Educational-Read-560 Could one approach this practice from a semi-Christian perspective or would that create complications?
I completed 1 content from my written structure which is nice-- even though I have a lot more left for now. However, my own research somehow led me to this question indirectly. I do feel like I am not quite getting rid of the fear-mongered ideal that I had in the past. It is hardly rational but it is what it is. By semi-Christian, I don't mean anything to do with the bible. I am no longer a Christian, nor do I want anything to do with it again. I had my own set of struggles. But I do feel like I view God -- not the anthropomorphic God fully from the bible- but the God of Christianity, as something that offers stability. I think I still have a dumb fear of demons and this practice feels a bit 'unstable' to me. I also don't think God is fighting demons in hell or anything. I actually don't even think he would mind if I worked with demons. Maybe he isn't real -- he is a concept of stability for me. This is why, I am wondering, would there be any complications with approaching this practice from a semi-christian perspective? Not quite like the ars goetia sources where you use funny English to warn demons. But rather than just 'invoking' God anytime I invoke demons that I may have a level of fear towards, also pray to him in helping channel and connect me to workings and stuff. It is my own bias but for me, God represents something that is more "powerful" than demons so if they were to turn on me I could tell myself that God will protect me.
Potential complications:
Acknowledging my fear in itself might lead to a self-fulfilling prophecy where my own views could be a detriment to me in my future practice. I feel like I may make them malevolent by treating them as such -- by channeling through a concept of a God as a mental protection. I sometimes also think my fears are faint and better ignored -- even though it casts their shadow on me sometimes. For some reason, I do not fear lucifer I genuinely view it as a dignified entity if that makes sense -- not something that would turn on me or anything but I did have that fear and still do for Paimon- where I always got anxiety in an attempt to work with him.
I also "fear" that it is offensive -- I know they aren't humans but they might create human-like effects to prove a point ykk IDK.
Has anyone tried something like this? Did it improve practice?
