Ok yes, I get the show wants to reach out to Art Fleming’s family to properly honor him. However, how has it been 3 YEARS and the show STILL hasn’t done so as far as we know. I’m glad the show is honoring popular contestants. I’m glad Ken is in the hall of fame. However, Alex, Merv and Julann were all inducted in the hall of fame in year 1. Art and, in addition, Don were there when the show began. I grew up with Alex but, I have a lot of reasons to love Art, and out of a value for fairness I am pretty annoyed. I really hope I don’t have to post this again next year.

I'm in Newport News at the moment and currently the apartment where I live keeps going up in price. In the last 3 years it's gone up $200/month year over year. I'm now paying $1600+ per month for this 2 bedroom apartment (utilities not included) Needless to say, I haven't gotten raises at work that come near to offsetting this. This is mainly venting towards supports that don't know how to read a scoreboard. One duelist having less damage than the other doesnt make that duelist bad IF the duelist with less damage is blowing the other out the water in kills AND assist plus only having one death. All that high damage stat line with double digit deaths say is they do a lot of trash damage then die. If your brain is too simple to read beyond "one number smaller than the other" then I can't help you.

First post but long time lurker.
I (20M) just dropped him (20M) off and finally got back and realized how silent it is without him. I work nights out of town so when I’m awake at home he’s here. Even when he was just here asleep it felt louder than it does now. Doesn’t help my dog is also gone for the night because I head off to my own work tomorrow. So it’s extra silent. I don’t know what to do with myself, my house is clean and pretty much everything that must get done is done. Video games don’t even feel fun right now so I’m at a standstill.
This isn’t our first time going through this. He was reserves and is now switching to active + changing MOS so he’s back to school now. But the difference is that last time we were living with roommates who had kids so the house was never silent. Another big difference is that he’s not coming home to continue life as normal, we’re moving after this?? I’m terrified I’ve only lived in our home state so I have no idea what to expect here and he keeps saying he knows how it goes but I have a feeling that he infact does not know how it’ll go because it’s the military. He also just doesn’t do well with long distance. Not like we fight much, just so much miscommunication because we both suck at conveying feelings over text, and we still suck at giving space for the understanding that we both will have hard days that the other can’t/won’t understand. Ex. He doesn’t understand that with him joining and us moving away I’m leaving a very excellent job opportunity that I won’t have in the future. I’ve come to terms with it and I’m okay with it. But he doesn’t seem to understand that it’s a sacrifice I’m making for his career. I know that he’ll probably realize eventually and he’s got other things to worry about. Just sucks to not feel appreciated for making big sacrifices or understood.
I guess I’m posting here because no one in my family is military, my only friends who are understand are in the military. so I have no one who understands what I’m going through.
Additional Context: we’ve been married almost two years now. Been together for about three. But we’ve been close friends since middle school.

I know this is rediculous and honestly I deserve the ensuing judgement. Im not sure what Im not grasping about this concept. Im learning about buffer overflows rn and I decided to give it a try. I wrote a short program which uses gets and a 16 byte buffer
something like

I compiled it with gcc -fno-builtin -fno-stack-protector -z execstack -no-pie -o bin bin.c mean logically I already know the buffer but I ran it with gdb, made a pattern and determined the offset to eip was 32, so I did a test where I sent 28 as and 4 bs and got 4242424242 in eip. from there I decided to try to jump to hackme. I did p hackme and got the offset lets just say ff002345 I swapped the byte order to little endian and did: python -c “print(‘a’ * 28 + ’\x45\x23\x00\xff’)”|./bin this is an example of a bad function…: you entered: yada yada yada segmentation fault
it never called the printf in my hackme. I then tried the same thing with python -c “print(‘a’ * 24 + ’\x45\x23\x00\xff’*2)”|./bin
same result
at this point I get frustrated and just do the whole buffer with the return address and the same thing happened. what am I doing wrong? any direction helps.

I got my pro neckband this last week. Been enjoying it but working through the kinks. Was on the fence when I first got it because I unsure I needed it when I could do much of the same stuff on my iPhone. But last night I played my ps5 remotely while laying in bed and it solidified that I like it and will keep it. I know I can do the same think on my phone but I hate how my phone’s screen is still mirroring while I playing and having any notification pop up. The neckband also does feel like you are not connected to anything.
Now on to why I'm posting. So I connected the 8bit controller that was gifted to us and that works fine but I’m not use to the xbox layout so that's a no go. I then connected a ps5 controller and it works great and will probably my go to. I am a little worried about taking that controller out and about bc of it price. Then I remembered I had another 8bit bluetooth controller that is very similar to a ps5 controller that I pushed back in the day. I paired it fine but it does not do anything once connected. Doesn't move the cursor or work in pxplay. Its like it is not connected. I thought it strange because its the same company as the one given by viture. Wondering if anyone knows if the neckband only connects to specific controllers or am I doing something wrong?

2025.01.27 05:21 Asleep_Salamander_68 2 years TMJ Journey & Things I learned
Starting off by saying nothing here should be taken as medical advice and pls read with the understanding that something that worked for one person may not work for another. Consult with a medical professional before trying any of these to see if it is good for you & your case of TMJ.
1- Orthotic splints may help with locking. My jaw used to lock every night when I slept, I would woke up locked. I was prescribed an orthotic (farrar splint) and after about a year of treatment now I have been locking free for almost a year now despite not wearing it anymore.
2- Yoga has helped me with pain and muscle tension. The days that I do yoga it does wonders for my jaw tension during the day. As I do yoga I can feel my neck and jaw muscles opening up. Honestly yoga has been a game changer for me in managing my pain- it offers so much more relief to me than my previous favorite, a moist heat pad. I also found it more effective than jaw massages. Maybe it’s to do with the fact that it helps loosen neck muscles as well, which are connected to the masseters. A full body release is better than just masseter focused massage, but hey, do what works for you in the monent!
3- Botox has helped me with pain and muscle tension. I get it done every 4-5 months. It’s important to see a TMJ doctor in my opinion and consulr if botox is right for your TMJD though- sometimes it doesn’t help and it can even hurt the TMJ joint based on some research. For me, I try to do it in moderation.
4- As previously mentioned, moist heating pads helped me, especially if Im having a flare up. Be careful though, don’t forget to turn them off, don’t leave them unsupervised or go to sleep with them.
5- Anti-inflammatory diet helped me- introducing more garlic, turmeric to my meals as flavour agents as well. Eating salmon- the omega is great.
5-Some supplements helped me, I think compared to the other points here their effect was more modest but good anyway. Magnesium, fish oil or krill oil, garlic oil, turmeric, collagen. Please consult your doctor to ask if you can take them, especially if you have other health conditions since these supplements may not be suitable for you.
I hope that this helps someone! I am still learning and I’m not fully pain free but I’m better at managing my flare-ups. This is not medical advice but me sharing my personal story and things that worked for me, so definitely consult a medical professional to see if these would help your TMJD.
