I'm a junior who just added info sci as my second major. I'm from CALS so 2110 is not a requirement. This semester I don't know if I should choose cs2110 or orie3120 as they are at the same time. I heard orie3120 is good for internships even though it has similar topics as info2950. But I heard from Reddit that 3120 is more practical and higher level so it's worth taking. The comments on cs2110 that I got from my friends are just too different. Somebody told me this course is not important if I don't want to dive into software engineering, and the contents learned from this course are not quite applicable to the upper-level NLP and ML courses. While somebody told me this course is worthy as a foundational coding experience. It serves as a key to the upper-level courses in info and orie topics(Just as CS2110 is required for most of these courses). I got an A in info2950 and that's probably the most coding-extensive course for me rn. I enrolled in some ML classes this semester. Should I take this 2110 first, or it doesn't matter if I survive those ML courses this semester?

(17m) here, and i have a big family, of 10 children and my sister (22f) is severly autistic. I love her to death but my parents always choose her over me, (the rest of the children are older we are the only two that live at home) since birth ive felt like ive lived in the shadow of my sister and not in a good way. May parents never state that they are proud of what i do or help me in any sort of way with my mental health problems, they always are to busy with my sister. They even bought her a brandnew car and i have to buy mine, its been this way my whole life. Judt unfairrness What do i do because i feel like im mentally breaking apart

2025.01.27 05:34 Zilloe Anyone else have their auto-pay not go through on Nelnet?
I don't have a payment pending according to my banking app and nelnet is showing that the next auto pay is scheduled for next month(February). It was supposed to be payed on the 24th and is now showing a past due amount. I also checked, they still have my banking info on file and I got the billing statement, through email, saying;
"Due Date: 1/24/2025 Amount Due: $222.61
You are currently signed up for auto debit payments to automatically debit your student loan payments. This statement is for your reference only and no action is needed at this time."
Just wondering if anyone had issues? I'll be calling on Monday.

I remember as a kid, sometime between 2005-2009 there were chat rooms on YouTube. I donāt think it lasted very long because it was honestly a terrible idea but I canāt find any evidence of it ever existing nor can I find anyone who remembers it besides a single Reddit post from 6 years ago with one response from 2 years ago with a video thatās now deleted. It feels more like a fever dream than anything but it would be nice to know if more than 2 other people on the planet remember this feature.

Hi all, I connected a Pioneer VSX-LX302 receiver with full 7.1.2 surround to my new Sony Bravia 8. Problem is itās not outputting 7.1.2 (Dolby Atmos or DTS:X) when I try and stream stuff from any service. Theyāre connected by an AudioQuest Forest HDMI cable. Any ideas on what I did wrong? Thanks!

I constantly feel like a failure and waste of space but then I spiral more and then just bed rot all day. I canāt even hate myself enough to motivate myself. I have an incredible partner but I keep subconsciously sabotaging myselfā¦ it feels like my lizard brain wants to rot in solitude until I finally die. I feel like itās just made worse by people who love me and care for me because it makes it easier to be okay being useless. Iām not even honest with my therapist and I talk about the benign ānormalā things that are wrong with me and now I donāt even know how to break the ice on how terrible I feel like I am.
