2025.01.27 04:37 MrCZ- In the search for more Miracle Dice I noticed something.
I'm reading Wargear Abilities for multiple Battle Sister units that have Simulacrum Imperialis. It seems to bluntly say that at the end of MY COMMAND PHASE that I get to roll a D6 for a Miracle Dice that is 4+ FOR EACH OBJECTIVE MARKER I CONTROL. So if I control 3 objectives I get to get to roll 3 D6 for 4+ Miracle Dice, correct???? So that means it would be imperative for me to control as many objectives as possible at the end of my command phase right? I just find that interesting bc I don't get this sensea of Objective collection urgency by Youtube Battle Sister players to collect Miracle Dice this way. Anyway just that lack hearing a strategy in the public Sphere made me think I was reading it wrong. Like no ideas about getting "Defenders of the Faith" with BBS, receiving some Dice for Simulacrum Imperialis and then pushing that BBS for another objective but having another unit with Simulacrum Imperialis to sit on the "tokened" objective til the next Command Phase. He'll if someone said you need two spilt a Squad with the Immulator so you can have a small 5 man "useless" unit sit on the home objective solely to collect Miracle Dice and protect the Exorcist hiding in the back. Anyway, looking for input or a correction. Still searching for Miracle Dice and trying to make Battle Sisters awesome but not getting a sense in the Battle Sister Community/Youtube/etc isn't trying to promote and find them as much as I am. Still hearing more about complaints about Bringers of the Flame nurfs and the win rate reduction numbers, than controlling the most random part of the game and making it predictable. 🤷🏿♂️, I'm a new Battle Sister play and new 40k player as of November. Don't even have an army but hell I'm still looking for Miracle Dice.

I could buy a deadstock (so brand new, all original packaging) for $481. This is with a drophood, in black.
Or, I could buy straight from Arc’teryx with less hassle and I could get my stormhood and black sapphire (I like this color better) but it would be retail.

I'm using windows 11, when I select the option on the glasses it will do something for a little then it just sits on a black screen. It gives me the options to exit ultra wide by pushing the button twice but that's about it.
Am I doing something wrong?

2025.01.27 04:37 Roshambo-123 After you lost your last parent, did anything change?
This weekend, my 76 year old mother suffered a fall and was knocked unconscious. She's had hypertension for a few years and it was over 200 in the ER and the doctors struggled to get it below 190. She is home now and "fine" but I'd be a fool to not see that the odds keep going up that one day I'm going to get a call and it won't be good news.
How has losing your last parent changed your dating?
My father passed a number of years ago and since then my mother has struggled. It's put a lot of burden on me, both to handle her affairs and to be her therapist (she refuses to see one). She gets lonely and calls when I am on dates and it's become routine to send her to voicemail and call back later to enforce boundaries. The emotional burden is always there though, because she provides an endless stream of problems from banal to serious. She is at that age where I have become the parent and her the child, and without my Dad around she's a struggling teenager who can't find her place in the world anymore.
A side of me wants to be free of the burden, but I also understand when you lose a parent you lose a lot.

2025.01.27 04:37 TravlrAlexander It needs to be said, Hello Games desperately needs to focus on gameplay depth for the sake of No Man's Sky and Light No Fire.
Just to preface. 2016 pre-orderer here, I've bought the game for PC, Xbox, PS5, Switch, and more for friends. I love the game, but I've been trying to put this into words a long time.
There's very little gameplay reason to explore in a game about exploration. There's very depth in a game whose developer was inspired by sci-fi novels of an era that fleshed out the "how" of their worlds.
I really believe problem lies with the fact that just by looking at a planet, you instantly know what's there for you. You know a lush planet is always going to have superheated rainstorms, paraffinium, the star's associated chromatic metal, and the exact same star bulb plant.
There's no element of surprise not because of the realistic limits of visual variety, but because the moment you see the label on a planet, you know exactly what it has to offer. There's no prospecting for resources, finding a planet that is lacking in metals but rich in useful flora.
This predictability in gameplay hurts other things too.
You can't crash your ship and have to repair it after the first time. Every time you do find a crashed ship, the same exact things are broken and they always require the same materials to fix. Those materials are sourced the same exact way every single time, in every single system. And every single system has planets with hazards that are just another flavor of health bar. For example,
Visiting an extreme cold planet means:
Cold protection tech drops to zero, needs to be recharged with material in quick menu Cold meter drops to zero, needs to be recharged with materials in quick menu Shield drops to zero, needs to be recharged with materials in quick menu Health drops to zero, die
And it's the exact same for almost every single hazard. Heat, radiation, toxicity, cold. There is no malfunctions of equipment from radiation, no mechanical errors in corrosive environments. Hot planets with volcanism offer no better resources than a barren icy moon, and there's no hurdle to overcome aside from having sodium ready harvested from the same source every time.
I really, really worry that the well-deserved praise Hello Games has received has made them complacent and unwilling to push the boundaries of what they can do with their GAMEPLAY now that they've proven themselves with their ability to build a world, and that Light No Fire (which as far as we know exists in a much more limiting setting than sci-fi) may suffer as a result.
No Man's Sky has a lot of potential for gameplay depth. And they've shown time and time again that all we need to do is ask, we'll love them, and the players will come.
