For the last year I have been researching Beaucerons for my next dog. I grew up with labs and currently have a Border Collie and a Great PyLab/Am Staff mix both in their senior stages. Because of this, I wouldn't get another dog for about 3+ years.
Qualities of a future dog I am looking for - train to be a service dog (PTSD/anxiety), athletic/can hike (backpacking, high elevation and mileage hikes), eager to please, intelligent, protective, intimidating presence (I want to clarify, I am not looking for my dog to be aggressive, but this visual quality is important for me)
My husband and I both work from home, my hours are very flexible so I have plenty of time for training and interaction. I trained my Border Collie to do service tasks, ideally I would train the Beauceron myself. If necessary, I have a friend who's family owns a dog training facility and have over 30 years of experience. I personally wouldn't want to show my dog, which I know will cause certain breeders to turn me away.
Moving forward, what should I look for when specifically looking for a Beauceron breeder? What kind of questions should I be asking a potential breeder? I have a purebred Maine Coon and I thought I did my research enough and reached out to previous buyers, but turns out she is an extremely unethical and negligent person and does not care about the well-being of her cats/kittens. I paid for my mistakes the hard way (genetic issues and poor health) and want to avoid anything like this in the future. Anything else you suggest I research?
We live in Connecticut, so if anyone has leads on great breeders in the area I would love to hear more.
Now that you know my needs/plans, do you think this breed would be a good fit? Some other breeds I am looking at: Doberman or German Shepherd.

Finalmente adquiri o meu dynavap M e ontem fui testar com um pedacinho de flor que tenho aqui já faz um tempo... Aqueci com um isqueiro bic com o caps dentro da chama pra não escurecer (método mais recomendado pra esse tipo de isqueiro). O caps estralou e eu dei aquela tragada, senti o gosto de erva mais "puro" do que no zigg, mas não veio aquela nuvem de vapor parruda que vejo nos vídeos da internet e a brisa foi bem suave também. Será q eu fiz algo de errado?

This might be an obvious question and answer, but im going on safari this year and have prepared with two bodies, my G9 which I know well, a new OM1 I got on sale, and the Oly 40-150 pro and the panasonic PL 100-400. Which lens is better on which body?
I know the obvious answer is to match lens with body and there are stabilisation benefits, but if I'm completely honest I don't know what that really means. Can anyone help? Does anyone think there'd be any particular differences in IQ between the two possible combinations?

I am hearing conflicting things on whether you can reserve an Uber for transport to the mountain. We arrive late at night so we would be getting picked up at a hotel. Uber appears to allow for the reserving of an Uber XL but I was told by an AirBNB host that they don't believe there is any Uber in or around Crested Butte.
