Hi everyone,
Disclaimer: I’m already seeing a doctor for this issue, and I have an appointment with an endocrinologist next month (but I’ve been waiting since October!). My doctor immediately set up a thyroid ultrasound after my TPO results came back, and thankfully, everything came back normal. It was a pretty scary few days thinking I might have thyroid cancer.
That being said, I wanted to reach out to see if anyone else has had extremely high TPO levels and what diagnosis you ended up with? I’m just trying to gather some insights while I wait for my specialist appointment.
And, yes, I feel like absolute garbage 24/7. Adding that I also have extremely low ferritin at 7.9.

Hello all!
I’ve been in web dev for a little over a decade and I’ve slowly watched as frameworks like react introduced a culture where learning JavaScript was relegated to array methods and functions, and the basics were eschewed so that new devs could learn react faster. That’s created a jaded side of me that insists on learning fundamentals of any new language I’m trying. I know that can be irrational, I’m not trying to start a debate about the practice of skipping to practical use cases. I merely want to know: would I be doing the same thing myself by jumping into Unreal Engine after finishing a few textbooks on CPP?
I’m learning c++ for game dev, but I’m wondering if I should do something like go through the material on learnOpenGL first, or build some projects and get them reviewed before I just into something that has an opinionated API and may enforce bad habits if I ever need C++ outside of game dev. What do you all think?

2025.01.27 17:17 brepmassive FortiAuthenticator - RADIUS / EAP-TLS Certificate Clarification

I have the following infrastructure in place:

FortiGate with FortiAP (FortiOS v7.2.9)
FortiAuthenticator (v6.6.2)
Windows 11 endpoints managed via Intune
Microsoft Cloud PKI for Microsoft Intune issuing certificates to endpoints and users

I'm struggling to get this to work seamlessly and the documentation around various settings within FortiAuthenticator is rather patchy. Also, I can't seem to find a guide where the certificate used for the RADIUS service on FAC is different to those being used within a RADIUS policy.
Goal:
To have Windows 11 devices connect to an SSID on the FortiAP using WPA2 Enterprise, using FAC as the RADIUS server and authenticate using the computer certificate issued by Cloud PKI.
Result:
Fundamentally this is working, but I'm receiving a prompt within Windows that requires user interaction. The same as the one here: Continue connection? If you expect to find SSID in this location, go ahead and connect. Otherwise, it may be a different network with the same name. If I continue, it connects successfully, so the certificate authentication side of things is working.
Detailed Configuration:
FortiAuthenticator has valid DNS entries (A and PTR) and the FQDN matches the certificate issued by a trusted CA (USERTrust RSA CA). Within FortiAuthenticator this certificate has been imported under Certificate Management -> End Entities -> Local Services. This is then being used for HTTPS access under Administration -> System Access -> HTTPS Certificate and also by the RADIUS Service under Authentication -> RADIUS Service -> Certificates -> EAP Server Certificate.
I have added the CA and Issuing CA from the Cloud PKI configuration to FortiAuthenticator under Certificate Management -> Certificate Authorities -> Trusted CAs.
I have created a RADIUS policy defining the type as EAP-TLS and then selecting the two Cloud PKI certificates under Trusted CA certificates within the RADIUS policy.
For testing purposes I am manually adding the wireless network to the Windows 11 devices. I'm defining this as using WPA2 Enterprise and then setting the security up as follows: Authentication Method: Smart Card or other certificate (EAP-TLS) Certificate Selection: Certificate Issuer: Cloud PKI Root CA Use simple certificate selection: Tick Verify the server's identity by validating the certificate: Tick Connect to these servers: fac.domain.com (This matches the FQDN within FortiAuthenticator) Trusted Root Certification Authorities: USERTrust RSA selected. Under Advanced -> 802.1X settings -> Specify authentication mode: Computer authentication.
Questions:

What purpose does the list of certificates serve within FortiAuthenticator under Authentication -> RADIUS Service -> Certificates -> EAP-TLS Authentication -> Trusted CAs? I initially had the Cloud PKI certificates here, but have since removed these after a lot of testing.
Does FortiAuthenticator need the CA and any intermediaries for trusted certificate used by the HTTPS and RADIUS service defined within the EAP Server Certificate?

Findings:

I have removed all certificates under the EAP-TLS Authentication section.
Adding the USERTrust RSA CA and the intermediate issuing CA for the certificate used by the EAP Server into the FortiAuthenticator certificate store stops the Windows devices from prompting and they connect successfully as desired.

Any clarification of the above questions would be very much appreciated as I've been banging my head against a wall trying to get endpoints to connect seamlessly whilst trying to work out the various places certificates can be defined within FortiAuthenticator.

De kans dat Santiago Gimenez naar AC Milan gaat, is niet groot. Feyenoord heeft hem hard nodig tegen OSC Lille (woensdag), Ajax (zondag) en PSV (volgende week), maar kán ook niet akkoord gaan met het bod uit Italië. De club moet nu maar hopen dat de spits zijn hoofd niet op hol heeft laten brengen. Er ligt voor Santiago Gimenez een meerjarig contract klaar bij AC Milan, dat hij uiteraard graag zal willen ondertekenen. Het salaris is het probleem al helemaal niet geweest, hij zal aanmerkelijk meer kunnen gaan verdienen en de Serie A geldt voor hem na de Eredivisie als een zeer aantrekkelijke competitie.
Voor Gimenez dringt de tijd. Tijdens de zomer van 2024 liepen onderhandelingen met Nottingham Forest op niets uit, ook al ging het bod van de Engelsen richting het bedrag dat Feyenoord toen wilde hebben, rond de dertig miljoen euro. Beide clubs hadden er wel uit kunnen komen, maar Gimenez twijfelde zelf. Nu is dat níet het geval. De spits wil weg. Hij is bezig aan zijn derde jaar bij Feyenoord en heeft in Nederland alles gewonnen. Het is tijd voor de volgende stap. Ook Feyenoord snapt dat het Gimenez niet nog een jaar kan houden.
Normaal gesproken zouden Feyenoord en AC Milan dus snel tot een akkoord kunnen komen, want alle partijen, clubs en speler, willen in principe wel, maar alles verandert zodra het geld op tafel moet komen. AC Milan presenteert zich graag als een Europese topclub en heeft met Zlatan Ibrahimovic een directeur van internationale allure, maar de markt kennen, is blijkbaar een ander verhaal.
Het bod dat de Italianen hebben neergelegd bij Feyenoord: twintig miljoen euro, te betalen in vier termijnen. PROBLEEM Het grote probleem, is dat Feyenoord Gimenez nóóit voor zo’n bedrag zal kunnen en willen laten gaan. Dat maakt dat er nu nog maar twee partijen enthousiast zijn: Milan en Gimenez. Feyenoord wil het dubbele van wat er op tafel ligt. De transferwaarde van de Mexicaan wordt geschat rond de 37 miljoen euro, maar deals in de winter vallen sowieso altijd wat duurder uit, doordat geen enkele club bij is halverwege het seizoen een bepalende speler wil verkopen. De kans dat Gimenez naar AC Milan gaat, was op voorhand al klein en is er door het bod uit Italië zeker niet beter op geworden, ondanks de vele berichten op websites en social media.
Voor de club en trainer Brian Priske is dit vervelend. De trainer die ternauwernood ontslag overleefde, vecht voor zijn baan en moet daarvoor wedstrijden winnen. Zeker die van zondag tegen Ajax. Het gat met de Amsterdammers, die op de begeerde tweede plaats staan in de Eredivisie, is negen punten. Feyenoord wil het gat tot het Champions League-ticket terugbrengen tot zes punten. De woensdag erop volgt dan ook nog de kwartfinale van de KNVB-beker uit bij PSV, de kans op een tastbare prijs. Priske heeft Gimenez erbij nodig en kan het niet hebben dat het hoofd van zijn spits nu op hol wordt gebracht. In de zomer van 2024 speelde dit ook al rond David Hancko, die toen met zijn gedachten al stiekem zat bij Atletico Madrid.
Destijds kon Feyenoord uitleggen dat een bod van nog geen twintig miljoen onacceptabel was voor een speler met de kwaliteit van Hancko. Bovendien had de Slowaak net zijn contract verlengd tot 2028. Hancko moest wel even slikken, maar begreep het uiteindelijk wel en ging dóór. De kans is zeer groot dat Feyenoord nu komende zomer wil meedenken met de Slowaak. Ook voor Hancko geldt dat hij min of meer is uitgespeeld in de Eredivisie. Daarbij moet Feyenoord simpelweg ieder jaar transfers doen om de financiële huishouding op orde te krijgen en te houden. SUCCES Intussen bereidt club zich voor op de uitwedstrijd tegen OSC Lille. Na de zege op Bayern München (3-0) staat het elftal van Priske op dertien punten. Bij winst in Noord-Frankrijk komt de teller op zestien te staan, volgens de meeste rekenmodellen geeft dat 81 procent kans op een plek bij de beste acht teams en daarmee directe plaatsing voor de achtste finale. Maar daarbij is het doelsaldo niet meegenomen. Dat van Feyenoord loopt wat achter in vergelijking met clubs die momenteel op dertien, vijftien, of zestien punten staan. Als met al is de kans op die top-8 met 13,1 procent niet heel groot, maar met Feyenoord en de Champions League weet je het nooit.
Met Santiago Gimenez is de kans op zo’n succes groter, dan zonder de Mexicaan, zeker gezien zijn huidige vorm. Maar waar zit de spits nu met zijn gedachten, in Rotterdam, of Milaan? Hoe erg is hem het hoofd gek gemaakt? Slaagt Feyenoord erin zijn topscorer rustig te houden én hem ervan te overtuigen, zoals afgelopen zomer lukte bij Hancko, dat twintig miljoen euro in vier termijnen een onrealistisch bedrag is voor een speler van zijn kaliber? Of overheerst bij Gimenez de teleurstelling?
Zonder ertegen te hoeven spelen, is AC Milan voor Feyenoord een net zo’n lastige tegenstander als OSC Lille, Ajax en PSV.

Look at this sub, the absolutely massive amounts of people requesting change but mods don’t care. Everything is American Politics. I’ve seen Trump’s name more than Jesus in every post. People all talking about the same thing.
3.5 even mentions starting mega threads for such repeated topics but mods couldn’t care less.
Thumbing through 10 posts just to finally find something on another topic. Most posts from people raiding the sub who’ve never posted to complain about Trump. When the ones who want to genuinely be a part of the community have to thumb through all these posts just to find one where someone wants advice or prayer or wants to share good news or literally anything else.
