I went home for the holidays this year and during my time at home, I somehow developed a new, unknown allergy, my only guess is from an OTC medication. I have my testing appointment next week, which means I'm going to be very itchy and can't use my fan to help me fall asleep. As far as I know, this hasn't been caused by melatonin - can I take it to help me actually get some sleep for the next week? If this is better suited for a pharmacist, apologies, it was just on my mind. Thank you :)

 | Hey everyone. So I took the leap during the sale and finally got arma 3 after thinking about it for over 10 years. I played the campaign now I’m branching out a little bit and started antistasi solo. Now the problem is it feels/looks like some of the mods that I have loaded in the launcher aren’t being used in the antistasi server. So I went into the configurations and saw what i saw. So pretty much my question is- what’s the difference between “client” and “mission” overwrites? If I’m wanting a mod to work in my server should I have one checked and not the other? Both? Or what? I’ve always been a console gamer back to the n64 and sega genesis and I just came to pc gaming a year ago so mods and server set ups have me a little bit confused. I think I could see why people start to hate their birthdays. I don't have any expectations, I know we don't have the means to afford anything and honestly, we shouldn't. I'm the one telling my mom that and I can tell it makes her so sad. She wakes up at early hours to tell me happy birthday whenever she can and just tells me how proud she is of me. I love her for that but I still feel so disappointed because there's absolutely nothing this month. I haven't eaten properly for a few days and the food we're getting is from a friend who lets us borrow stuff. I have missed out on so many opportunities just because we have literally 0 to our name. The entire school office was vouching for me to go to an event and I just needed to come in and sign some stuff but I just couldn't. I don't have any fare and I haven't eaten. I know when my allowance comes, it's going to be gone in seconds to pay off loans and shit and I know there's no room to get a snack I like. I'm seeing my bio mom hanging out with a wide spread and an entire party for her or my friend being overwhelmed with so many greetings that he gets pissed off and I just…I don't know. There's nothing wrong with that but I wish it was me.
Last year wasn't any good either. The one time I finally have money, I wanted to spend the day with friends. One dude bailed out just because he didn't have a gift to give even though I told him he didn't need to and I even begged him and the two other friends that showed up, one got drunk and the both of them started fighting and the gift exchange before that too for our Christmas party…out of everyone, I was the only one who didn't get anything until the class president reimbursed it. I'm in college now and nothing has changed and I don't get why I still get the shorter end of the stick. I'm kind and tactful, I get good grades. It's not enough. I know birthdays are just another day but I hate all the expectations set up around it because even if I know nothing will come, I'm still so disappointed.

I’m going to preface that I know that pretending/masking is not always the best long-term answer to social issues.
I’m looking for suggestions to help in the immediate and not long-term.
My issue is that at times, my autism kicks in and it deeply irritates my friends. They know I have autism, but they always forget about that when they are frustrated with me.
I went to a convention event with them two years ago. Large crowds put me on edge. Long social events put me on edge. So, the whole event has me in a high stress mood. I do my best to cringe, bear it, and mask. The event lasts for 4 days. Towards the middle of the event, my autism slips out and I make choices that irritate my friends. The main one is fast walking ahead of the group. And another is I will just disappear to find a quiet spot but won’t tell anyone until they text me to see where I went. I understand it is shitty for me to do, but the stressors of the event make it hard for me to think clearly 24/7.
I have apologized for my actions.
However, my friends still hold grudges against me from that event. Only one friend speaks to me about it, though. The others never say anything, but I know they have all talked about it. The one friend who will mention it likes to remind me of my actions when they get irritated with me in the present. The same friend will also try to “protect” my other friends from me by telling me how I have hurt everyone. It almost feels like they are “othering” me from the group in these moments.
No matter what, I do my best to be accountable and apologize.
The advice I need, is how can I go about handling myself better in times when my I’m stressed? I have to attend this same 4 day convention this year. I share a hotel room so I can’t really get away to reset. I know what I shouldn’t do: don’t walk ahead, don’t disappear without saying first etc. But what I need help with is how to be more convincing with masking when I’m low on spoons. I know my friends will be watching me like a hawk and any slight incorrect action will set them off. So, any suggestions?
I know my friends are handling this poorly and so am I. Regardless, I just want to show them that I can do better. My words seem to not help so I know I can only heal their grudges by being there and acting differently.
