When I was 18 back in high school, I decided to host a DND medieval kingdom roleplay through discord and a MMO game I enjoyed. It was 13+, and I wanted to indulge in this hobby as I missed doing it when i was 15 and wanted to introduce it to others (i also was juts trying to get back into normalcy after being groomed;i was freshly 18). I noticed some gross adults in the community who often preyed on teenagers in this game so I wanted to make one of my own that discouraged that.
However this roleplay was a tyrannical kingdom with dark scenes as I liked dramatic plots, and by that I mean general violence, fighting, fanatsy monsters, villains, knights, cannibals, etc etc. NSFW or anything suggestive however wasn't allowed and I was very strict about it.
I never went into too much detail as I thought that was weird and edgy; at most we had a guillotine people would ask to use if they wanted to dramatically kill off their character, similar to that of warrior cats. Other players would be way worse though. And sometimes I'd come across people torturing other players, which I would have to tell them to stop.
But I feel horrible for the dark scenes. I have no doubt that people did worse behind my or my mods back. I just wanted to make something DND inspired while throwing in a tyrannical kingdom for drama. My mods were all ages 13 - 17, and while I often told them to watch out for these people/warn them/kick them, I wish I did better. I always did my best to catch weirdos; I actually had to ban and report a 21 year old because they were being weird with a 13 year old. I feel like a groomemonster.

I’m a dance major in college right now, and I’ve been dancing all my life. Last summer, I sprained my ankle and it took about 4 months to fully heal. Just today, I landed wrong out of a jump and re-rolled the same ankle. I’m really worried that this injury is gonna affect my career if i keep re-injuring it. Does anyone have any tips? I know strengthening ankle muscles will help but does anyone have any dancer-specific tips or advice?

2025.01.29 02:40 Impossible-Reality27 Yall ever need to nap?
I, 19f, need to nap every day for like 2 hours to feel good. When I told my doctor about my symptoms, she told me I needed to sleep at most 8 hours a day. Before I got on Duolexine I was sleeping at most 12 hours a day- and when I tried to stay up all day and then sleep for 8 hours, I tend to crash out within 3 days! Right now im sleeping for around 8 1/2 hours a night, and I often find myself taking naps, because by 4 my brain is so fuzzy i can't get any of my uni work done. Sugar and coffee helps, but I crash and then have a flareup so I don't drink any caffeine.
Keep in mind that im not properly diagnosed, but my general doctor did give me duolexine for my pain and some other symptoms. I'm hoping my fatigue right now might just be some vitamin deficiencies. I got some vit. gummies and my medication just got upped today (yay! depression) so hopefully that gives me some more energy. Working out does help with energy after I get over that first two-week flareup. Does anyone need excessive naps in order to be able to focus?

Had my VERA call on Friday. The lady was super nice and very informative. Unfortunately she couldn't give me a time frame but did say that around 130 days seems to be the sweet spot. Not holding my breath but lets hope!

A manager at the restaurant that I work at has an 8 year old little girl. This little girl runs a muck in the front and back of house every time she's up there, 90% of the time barefoot.
She runs around in the kitchen barefoot. Almost had a tray of food fall on her. The walk in door almost smacked her face when someone was coming out of it. While barefoot she should run behind the cook line while the cooks are cooking(flattop on, deep fryer on, knives being used).
I told MY manager that the next time she is in the kitchen barefoot without supervision, I was going to call the cops on the manager for child endangerment. A knife could be dropped, bounce up and stab her. She could get curious and touch a flat top or a fryer and burn herself. Hot food and plates could fall on her from running around servers trying to take food out. Get smacked by the walk in door and get a broken nose. Being barefoot, she could cut her feet on glass that missed being swept up.
I try so hard to keep her from going in the back. I give her dollars for the claw machine to keep her occupied.
I was told that "because she grew up there (6 years)" that the others don't mind.
Not only fear for her safety, she also causes cross contamination. Digging her hand into the ice we use for customers. Touching the desserts in the front bake case. Causes product waste by using the freestyle machine to make cups of drinks that she puts everywhere.
She's also called the police twice from the landline. Plays with the POS/ computer for cashing out. Pulls and breaks restaurant property. Touches and plays with the servers food on our "eating spot" in the back. Eats off of random plates (servers and customers).
This child is always in the back barefoot without her mother, the manager, running around. I'm scared that one of us will drop something on her, a tray of food, on her one day. Or worse, she'll run behind the cook line and burn herself or cut herself on knives, or even get into the cleaning chemicals that we use.
I told my manager my concerns. She went to the GM and told him everything that we've seen and that we would appreciate it if he spoke to her mother about it. Months have gone by and nothing has changed.
And with corporate watching the cameras, I would assume that the GM would talk to her mother about it.
And this is only what I and my manager have seen while on the clock. I can only imagine what happens when we're not there.
I'm not "complaining" or "ragging about" this situation. I'm actually concerned if it's child endangerment with her running around the kitchen barefoot like that.
Us servers cannot stop what we're doing to keep an eye on her in the back. We have a job to do as servers, not as babysitters.
