I have free time on the weekends, and like everyone else I need money. What are good options for university students in the current job market. I am big on skills and doing odd jobs for hire, I currently am a qualified violin teacher (with no students), and write essays (that get +90%) for students at different universities. Iām just not sure where to look, what sites to use. I really just donāt want to work fast food.

I recently transferred to a different school as a new student in a different course. Iām not really good at making friends, but a girl, āLuna,ā approached me. She seemed nice and was very enthusiastic about talking to me. Over time, we started hanging out a lot because sheās the one I feel most comfortable talking to and the most approachable person Iāve met so far.
Fast forward to one of my classes (where Luna isnāt my classmate), I met a guy, āKai,ā who is also really nice and friendly. We take the same class, and heās given me advice here and there. He told me that he used to be in the same section as me but transferred out.
One day, Kai asked me if I was friends with Luna. I said yes, and thatās when he told me I should be ācautiousā around her. When I asked why, he said that he and Luna used to be friends, but she has a history of talking behind peopleās backs, which led to their friend circle falling apart. He also mentioned that she seems really nice at first, but over time, she shows her true colors.
Hearing this shocked me. I donāt know who to believe. Kai seems believable, but part of me doesnāt want to accept it. It makes me sad because Luna has been really nice to me, and I wasnāt expecting to hear something like this about her.

Hey guys thank you for taking the time to read this,
I was originally rejected from my first-choice program, so I am planning to change my application and get switched to business and engineering. In my first semester, I didnāt do well, so Iām retaking all my core classes in the second semesterā3 in person and 3 online (Chem 30, Biology 30, Math 30-1, Math 31, and English 30-1, PE30). If I do well this time and achieve around a 90% average, is it still possible to be accepted into engineering or business, despite my poor first-semester grades?( because second sem transcripts come way later then the acceptance letters)
FYI I am accepted into Mount Royal so it is as not much stress as I make it to be, but I want to do engineering.

2025.01.29 06:02 KaoticBonsai My disabled older brother passed today.
All my(31yo )life I've disliked having to help my older brother at times. He is legally blind so ide have to help him with alot of things. When I was younger I wished he was "normal". When I was older I felt bad that he didn't get the same freedoms I take for granted like driving or being able to prepare my own food.
He was only 43. He apparently had diabetes. No one knew and he didnt manage it.
Earlier I saw him trembling and asked how he was he said he was fine but I thought something was off. Why didn't I push the issue why didn't I say anything more i think I'll be asking that forever more. I even joked about it when i heard him having diarrhea around 3:45 pm.
We talk everyday we live together his room right next to mine. He's my best friend and now he is gone.
I took a nap and found him already cold. Between the hours of 5-8 pm he was gone. I knew one day I may have to bury my mother and then him since he was older I didn't expect it to be so soon. I thought we had another 30-40 years together. He was going g to live with me, a fact I sometimes was annoyed by since he was a bit lazy. I feel so guilty why wasn't i nicer, why didn't I say anything.
I dont know what the point of this post is. This one is hard and I'm not sure what to do I can't sleep.
We just were talking about my college classes and now he's gone.

I had a 4-week interaction with a guy (letās call him Jake). We texted every day during that time, sometimes long chats, other times just brief exchanges like sharing reels or casual topics. I often called him brother or bro, starting from Day 2, and on Day 12, he started calling me sis. At the time, this felt like a clear label of a platonic bond or friendship to me.i even called him friend
However, on Day 3, when I asked him about a gesture he made, he said, "Itās a nice gesture, my friend." He didnāt explicitly say, āHey, weāre friends,ā but his use of my friend suggested a friendly vibe. After that, we continued chatting daily for the rest of the four weeks.
For context, Iāve had another male friend (letās call him Adrian ) who, over 18 months, implied friendship twiceāonce by saying something like, āNo thanks or sorry among friends,ā and another time, āItās all for friends.ā This friend was more consistent in our bond over a longer period.

- Play the game enough you start to learn armowep/ammo spawn locations. When the pod opens and everyone rushes to spend dosh on ammo that has a good chance of being acquired for free, make a close proxi to pod lap. Iāve come to the pod with 10 or so seconds to spare with armor and 2 mags or wep to sell. Out of 20 people maybe 2 will do this. Asking for money early game to finance your upgrades/ammo is a likely no. Scavenging will take care of that
