Well… today sucked. I was made redundant, and I feel absolutely shattered. I knew things were tough, but hearing those words still hit like a truck. It’s that sinking feeling of uncertainty, like the rug has been pulled out from under me, and now I’m just… floating? I turn 30 on Saturday lol
I know I’ll bounce back, I know I’m more than my job, and I know deep down I know its a blessing in disguise… but, I’m struggling to not blame myself right now. Time to focus on my creative side and embrace the unknown!!!!

I've beat lich I think 3 times at this point, and each time was with crook atlatl.
As far as I can tell, the main way to beat the lich is to have a build with several redundant damage sources (so that they don't get completely shut off by the initial freeze salvo) that runs few/no nonweapons (so that necronomicon doesn't charge too quickly) that can race lich's poison, preferably with a comfortable max health buffer.
Unfortunately, so far as I can tell, the only build that consistently ticks all the boxes is a crook + atlatl pyg. Some kind of one shot build could probably do it too, but those are very rare to have online by the day 6 fight, and you'd still need to move quickly enough to kill the lich before necronomicon kills you. A single weapon vanessa build could probably get it done if the weapon were scaled enough, but the golden petrifying gaze is a huge problem and often closes the door on builds that can *almost* race it. Perhaps a single weapon vanessa build paired with Dooley's Scarf?
If you try to heal through the poison, that simply causes the necronomicon to charge faster, and the regen gained means that the lich likely wins in the sandstorm.
There's a lot that could beat the lich fight, but not a lot that can beat the lich fight on hour 3 of day 6 without some kind of crazy highroll, like an icebreaker from the digsite, or an early lucky radiant item. Anti-freeze skills seem to be a huge help for bursting him down through the petrifying gaze activation, and freezing flames has been a part of at least one of my builds that took him down, but unfortunately rapid thaw is out of the pool now, so that's not really an option.
Well, what other builds have you folks been able to find success with? Has anyone managed to put together a force field/spiky shield oneshot?
