Proposing to my gf on Valentine’s day. Looking for a photographer (or anyone with a camera) to take some proposal pics in the early evening maybe around 5pm. Not really looking for a professional photographer that charges hundreds for a whole photo shoot. Just seeing if anyone with a camera could potentially meet up to take a few pictures of the moment. I’ll still compensate you for the time and effort
Location is still TBD but I’m considering ensign peak or sugar house park. Or maybe Little Dell Reservoir. Just looking for somewhere with good mountain views (open to recs on this as well)

2025.01.29 06:14 GHDev Any advice on getting father to care about 75 CAC?
My father just turned 60, and is reasonably healthy for his age (controlled hypertension and mild artery calcification aside). He stays moderately active at work, walking the dog, and cultivating his land. Other than that, no cardio or lifting exercise.
He is slightly overweight (has a gut). And he still eats fried chicken 1-3 times a week. Thankfully he doesn’t drink any alcohol or smoke.
He got a CAC score of 75 this past year. He doesn’t seem concerned nor does his doctor. He is on blood pressure meds and on a statin.
My understanding is that a CAC score of 75 puts you at a moderate risk of heart attack in the next five years. And that one should be doing everything reasonable to minimize further damage.
I know we’re part of the subset of people that really care to minimize risk, but has anyone been able to get a relative to care as well? Does anyone have specific advice about my situation?

okay so me (15f, lesbian) and my best friend (14f, lesbian) are super close right? we're very clearly codependent but that's not the point, the way i'm behaving has been weird lately and even i have noticed it.
i've been having mood swings a lot lately which hasn't happened since i was 12 or 13, but it usually only gets triggered if i see them hanging out with/getting texts from other people but mostly their talking stage.
i feel a constant need to hang out with them/have their attention because if i don't i get upset and feel extremely lonely, jealous, and sad.
if i were to try and distance myself from them/our friendship it'd be extremely noticeable to everyone around us, we have sleepovers at least 3-5 days a week because we both have very free schedules and don't rlly have other friends.
i dont know how or why i'd feel this way, i have a girlfriend and like i said earlier they're in a talking stage with someone else, but idk

 | I've been using Reddit for a while to meet people going on r4r type of groups. I recently received a text from an unknown number stating that they have my name, address, and some information about my relatives. Unfortunately, out of curiosity, I responded to the text and even answered their call. The caller claimed to be Jayson Kamar from "the escort service" and alleged that I had spoken to one of his girls. However, I have no idea what he is talking about. While I have been messaging some people, I quickly noticed that some of them were scams and stopped engaging. I believe one of these scammers was on Telegram under the name "Emily Brent," using a profile picture of a white woman. I briefly chatted with this person but quickly realized the conversation was dry and suspicious, so I left it at that. I also suspected it was a scam because the person on the call sounded completely different. Now, this guy is demanding a $3,500 ransom, claiming that I "disrespected his girl" and cost her a VIP client— which is complete nonsense. He is threating me that my family is going to "pay". I'm not too familiar with this type of scam, but I want to know the best course of action. So I have ocd. I don’t have the stereotypical type that you probably know of. I’m not a clean or neat person at all and my compulsions are mostly mental. This means I do a lot of overthinking and thoughts are constantly repeating in my head
I have never been able to simply think of nothing. No matter how many times or how hard I try, it feels entirely impossible. I find it extremely hard to only think of one thing at a time. But it feels like I can’t turn off my thoughts even just for a second. I find it so exhausting and frustrating at times and I want my brain to shuttup.
I don’t know if this is a symptom of my ocd or if it’s normal and I’m just being dramatic about it. But I also don’t know if it is my ocd that is making me doubt whether it is my ocd. Lol and I could just keep going in a circle with that.
Some people seem to be really into meditation but when they do it, are they truly thinking of nothing? Because that feels quite literally impossible and unfathomable and I don’t know if this is normal or not
My brother is someone who does not have an internal monologue and I am so jealous of him but also can’t comprehend how he exists
