So idk if anyone else has experienced this, maybe itās a phenomenon of living in this new day and age where thereās so much opportunity, so many types of jobs, programs etc.
But I find that thereās soooo much career policing. Like if you mention you like kids and want to be a teacher the average person, not even a teacher, will say; āoh well they donāt make that much money, they barely make a living, you need to marry rich or have a side hustleā. Okay. Now you say ām I might consider being a dentist!ā And then you hear āwell, they end up with severe neck and hand pain by their mid 50s! Donāt do that!ā Okay. Now if I say āI might become a lawyer, thereās a lot of versatile jobs you can get with a JDā the response is ālaw is too oversaturated. You will never find a jobā
I understand people are trying to be realistic, but seriously? Like almost every time Iāve explored careers and talked about it with older adults this is what I hear. I even had a man tell me āyou should only try to go into medicine since youāre in STEM and itās the only stable profession that pays wellā obviously the entire world canāt do the same job, so why is there so much disdain for these other clearly respectable, well-paying, and high-rated professions? Iām sorry but how many unemployed lawyers do you even know? Injured dentists? Teachers living below the poverty line? I feel like this is exaggerated so much and itās so discouraging to current students. Like damn, at least help or offer constructive input or donāt say anything at all.
Also by the way;
- you can become disabled and injured without being a dentist, mechanic, construction worker etc
- you can be poor without being a teacher and earn way less
- you can be unemployed in literally any single field.
SORRY for the long rant guys. Graduating is taking its toll on me lmao. But feel free to discuss below.

I'm not as new as I'd like to say, I've been here since the start of January as an Apollo devotee. I still have a question about Lady Aphrodite. a few actually.
First of all, I know many people would argue differently, but I've been having some issues with a girl I'm in love with. I'm pansexual (because of course I am obviously I mean I'm an Apollo devotee) and female and I love this girl a grade above me. She's so sweet, funny, and I love her. But she loves someone else and there's a boy who loves me who complains to her that I like her (she knows) and so she uses that as an excuse to why she can't like me back. I don't like this boy since he's hurt me in the past in a romantic aspect, but I'm really in love with her.
Anyways, I'll put a list of my questions because I'm considering worshipping Lady Aphrodite.
Is it wrong for me to worship her now because I want to ask for her help? In Christianity, they believed that if god put them through hardship, it meant he was trying to get closer to them. Is that what she's doing?
How would I worship her in the first place? I don't know if I could really do much since I'm a closeted hellenist, so how could I worship her?
How do I pray to her? I pray to Lord Apollo pretty casually, just kind of sitting at my altar or on my bed while looking at my altar and talking about the day, talking about how amazing he is, and basically reciting a prayer I wrote for him, but how would I go about praying to Lady Aphrodite?
What do I offer her? I can't make offerings very often because my altar is pretty small and I can't usually get things to offer (usually for Lord Apollo if I'm getting a snack or something that he probably hasn't tried I leave it on my altar and throw it away for him like at night so I don't get caught) so what do I offer her?
Thanks for listening to my questions, I'm still pretty new to the whole polytheism thing, and it will take me a while to learn how to worship multiple gods, so thanks for your help and patience!

I downloaded a couple of epub files from Project Gutenberg and used the send to kindle feature in the iOS app. I did the thing where you click share on the file, select kindle, then upload.
My first book Beowulf is in my kindle app and also shows up on my kindle.
But my second book War and Peace, only shows up in my app, but not on my kindle?
I have done a sync on both devices and still no fix?
